I absolutely love this place! I’ve been there numerous times and have only gotten the same thing because it’s so dang good. I get their club sandwich with sweet potato fries! This place is dog friendly and has a nice homey feel and everyone working there is just go sweet and nice! Just wish it wasn’t so far away!

Burgers and fries are a B minus. It’s a small town with much better restaurants. It is inexpensive and that is the best thing about it.

Well, I find it interesting, when you order something special, the person cooking it knows how it comes out. And that person knows whether it’s correct of not (almost all circumstances). So when I ordered my fries well done, when he/​she put the fries in the bag, he/​she knew they weren’t well done, and didn’t care.
Of course I did come in 10 minutes before closing, but I made sure it was okay to order well done fries, just in case the fryer was already shut down.
So, they get two stars for giving me a product I did not order. And I did tell them before I left. They said sorry… Only one person out of four asked if I wanted them redone and she I don’t think was even working.
So, I would suggest before going here, try down the street at The Maverick, which has a kitchen, but not sure when they are open.
Oh Ya, their attitude at Burger Barn is, well, I’ll have to say… Snooty. Polite, but, well, don’t really care attitude.

Worst burger I’ve had for that price. Burger was dry, overcooked, and a lot thinner than I remember. The old management had a great business with great food but unfortunately the new management doesn’t have the same values.

We made reservations outside for a group of 25. The servers immediately took our drink orders and our food orders within 10 minutes. Food delivered within 25 minutes for everyone!
The potato salad is delicious and everyone enjoyed their burgers or entrees. I had the grilled chicken sandwhich… very good.

I’ve come here many times, and have always loved it. Sure there are times when the service is stupendous, but that is to be expected in any restaurant. I almost always get their excellent patty melt. I have gone there often for breakfast but also for lunch and will continue to do so. Best burger place in Santa Ynez.

We have frequented Burger Barn several times in the past years. Yesterday we went back for another outstanding performance; HOWEVER, it was TERRIBLE. We went there for breakfast and our waitress watched TV and drank our coffee while our food was waiting to be delivered. My eggs, bacon, and toast were luke warm — I mentioned this to her — she takes it back and warms it up — now I ended up with rubbery eggs and soggy toast. In addition, I had the fresh fruit cup which has always been so good in the past — this time, it was not fresh. My husband’s salsa for his burrito was not fresh — he mentioned this to the waitress and she admitted it was «yesterdays» — she did go and get fresh salsa. We have had this waitress in the past and she did a great job — something went wrong yesterday. We shared our dissatisfaction with the «manager» who said she would correct the problem.

Good little burger joint… I had the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. Yummy! Great flavor on the pork, toasted bun, and the fries were nice and crispy (not always the case with sweet potato fries at other places).
My wife had the veggie sandwich and said it was average… The bread was standard wheat and it didn’t have sprouts. The avocado was good and her regular fries were perfectly cooked as well.
We ordered a tri tip sandwich to go for our son and he really enjoyed it! Overall the food was good and our server was nice… We would eat here again next time we need a quick bite while in Santa Ynes!

What a great little restaurant. Hidden off the main road, it’s worth searching for. We had breakfast two consecutive days. We tried steak and eggs, ham slice and eggs, hash and eggs, and a custom omelet. All fantastic. Couple this with a large private patio with umbrellas and you have the perfect morning. I understand lunch is supposed to be even better. Can’t wait to try it. Try this gem, you’ll love it.

I came here for lunch and ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was delicious. My family ordered milkshakes and loved them. I’m not from Santa Ynez, but my in-​laws are and they tell me this place is a local favorite. I can see why.

Great breakfast! I had the Denver omelet… AMAZING! My husband said, «this is some of the best bacon I’ve ever had.» The country sausage is excellent but very spicy! We spent the night next door and we were terribly disappointed by their «breakfast» … This place saved us! Super quaint, great prices and fast service! XO, Burger Barn!

Pretty good spot for lunch. They had a «special» BBQ beef sandwich that was quite good and reasonably priced, especially for the area. Service and atmosphere were pleasant and clean.
Nothing fancy, but certainly a good place to get some pretty good food without mortgaging your house.

We had brunch here. Both of us ordered eggs. It was your average breakfast fare. The place is small, and actually cozy. The service was a little slow, but I guess it was a busy Sunday. It looked like a popular place with the locals. There aren’t too many breakfast place in Santa Ynez, so this makes a good option.

It was just a random circumstance that left me in Santa Ynez. Its a small town with one main road and one gas station.
This must be the only place open for breakfast cause everything else was closed or just opening.
As a habit of going to unknown restaurants I just go with the specials hoping it truly is SPECIAL. However I was left dissatisfied. If I had to equate it, it would be the equivalent of a run of the mill IHOP or Denny’s with a higher price tag. But when you’re the only game in town I guess you can do whatever you want and call it food.
