TJ Maxx

I think every TJ Maxx is hit or miss. This location had A LOT of good stuff so I was happy. Love their candle and home section. I’m used to the mess and digging for stuff, so I don’t mind it. Plenty of parking.

Will not shop at this location ever again. Debated on spending 20.00 for shampoo n conditioner set. I was putting it back when a sales clerk said, if you don’t like it then you can return it. I told her that i was really surprised, that i never heard of that. She said yes we take anything back as long as it’s not more than half used. I told that was understandable n since they gave me that option i would try it. There were 2 other employees standing right there so i had no reason to doubt her. Well it wasn’t worth the 20.00 and went to return it with the receipt after one use. The guy who was working would not return it, and was quite rude about it. Said they don’t take them back.

I thoroughly enjoy this store and stop in often to check for deals on anything from makeup-I’ve seen Too Faced eye shadows and Urban decay, to the well known deep conditioning Macadamia hair mask (retails for around $ 40 a jar) to a pair of Hunter rain boots and Versace Bright Diamond Perfume. I’m all about scoring a deal, but tonight my experience wasn’t so enjoyable. A manager his name D***** (I’m not going to give away his name because I do not want the company to delete this review) made my experience at the store most unpleasant. The whole entire time I was shopping I could hear him in the back office of the store yelling at his employees. When I was ready to check out, I was paying for my items when he came storming up to the register and began yelling very loudly (with profanity) at the two very polite employees and completely humiliated them in front of the rest of the people in line. I was so appalled by the behavior of this manager that I specifically asked for his name to one of the employees while he was in ear shot, we made sure to say that we would be reporting his behavior to customer service for being such a jerk. Horrible manager. I hope this situation is looked into as I have been a long standing loyal customer to this store, and I don’t think this behavior is a very good representation or experience that the Homegoods company (owns TJ Maxx) want to give to their customers. I have worked in retail and this man was the exact type of person NOT to put in charge since it seemed like all he wanted to do was boss everyone around on a power trip. This is definitely an HR suit waiting to happen. Also please change out your paper for wrapping, it smells like rat urine, I kid you not. Makes me wonder…

It’s definitely one of the smaller TJ Maxx’s I’ve ever been to, but it’s not too shabby. Sometimes you will find one or two items, but for sure, there are not as many treasures as other stores. It’s the closest one to my work and I won’t go out of my way to go to this particular one, but I will definitely stop by if I want to go shopping and don’t have anywhere else to go. Their sister store, Marshalls, seems to be larger with more shopping choices so I prefer to go there instead. Good luck and happy shopping!

I really like this store! I always find a ton of stuff! I just got a pair of Hudson jeans for $ 80 and a Lucky shirt and a Michael Kors shirt too all for a great deal. I even saw a ton of Tory Burch.
The store is always clean and organized and the staff friendly.
That said, the men’s section is abysmally sparse.

TJ Maxx also had me at SOLD! for a (7.99) shirt .
though labeled XL, it did not fit,
so i had to quit.
anymore trying, the shirt may have split.

As a regular shopper at discount fashion stores like TJ Maxx, I’ve seen the range of chaos that can exist in such places; i.e., unorganized clothing racks, dusty dressing rooms, strewn-​about shoe piles that might resemble cairns for wary store travelers, etc.
However, I found a TJ Maxx that does not fit my narrow-​minded assumption of these places. Case in point: the overhead lights were all functioning, the sections for women’s/ men’s/ kids’ clothing were remarkably organized, clearance sections were not a frenzied mess, and everything was clean.
The prices were fair, as well. It may not be a regular destination, but if I’m ever in need of getting a reminder that not all discount fashion stores are bombed-​out battlefields, this store will deserve a re-​visit.

2 Stars downgrade merely based on men’s clothing inventory. Seriously pitiful. Sparsely populated hangers. Mostly tee-​shirts, casual clothes. The men’s section barely takes up 5% of the store’s floor space. If I’m looking for a sport coat or a nice button down long sleeve shirt — I will not find it here.
Seriously Santa Rosa TJ Maxx, if this is the best your men’s clothes buyer can do, you should eliminate the department completely. Use the floor space to stock more women’s shoes, which has a better profit margin.
Guys, skip TJ Maxx, go straight to Macy’s if you need job interview clothes.

I’ve been here many a times. Thats the problem with discount shopping you hafta go frequently if you expect to find anything good. Disount shopping equates to a multitude of factors working against you. Size being the biggest issue for me. Because the mens smalls, or mediums are offten the first to sell out at the department stores so they almost never make it to the disount stores, and when they do they are hideous styles, or obnoxious colors. Pants are equally hard to find in the mens sizes of 30−32… but if your going for the rapper xxl look your in luck when it comes to discount stores. Because thats usually what they have a plethera of. I equate this to the fact that fat, or rather extra large people I can only assume are pretty much careless to the way they look.
That being said, this store is a pathetic example of a discount store. Not because the employees are rude (because they are not. I’ve never had an issue with that,) Not because the store is ill organized, because its not. Its actually very well organized…
The only problem I have with this store is that I NEVER FIND ANYTHING GOOD HERE!!!
since its opened I can count on 2 fingers the items I’ve bought here. 2 argile sweaters. One of which is a brown n crème cashmere agrile which I absolutely love!!!

TJ Maxx is great. I always find great things here. You really have to stop and take a deep breathe and be ready to rip through the racks for a good hour or so, then you try on, then dicide what you really want. chances are it won’t be your initial selection. Good for sweaters, cheap tee shirts, socks and exercise gear, bras, under wear and dresses. They do not always have the best shoe selection, but sometimes you find a gem. I’m one of those crazy discount shoppers and this place is the best because they have clothes almost all the way to the door so for me the, «ok, I’m ready, let’s go» type of person that they are targeting, I end up spending 20 more minutes just trying to leave. Damn, $ 60 more on the way out, but I’m also that, «have to have it» type of person. so oh well.
So go with time, lots of energy and prepare to put forth effort and you’ll get out with a bang!

I found some great deals here! I am a big fan of picture frames and they always have amazing ones. I also got some great nike workout gear and an adorable pair of heels. i cannot go in looking for something specific, i just happen to find things. you never know what to expect. the store is clean, and dressing rooms are spacious. the check out line can take a little long though.

Nothing here is good. Couldn’t even find a decent pair of cheap sunglasses.
I mean I didn’t expect much but i was expecting a Ross type store… to at least find one thing that was decent enough… but no.
