We stopped by Pellegrini Winery about 10 minutes before they closed last October. They gave us wine samples and we never felt like we were being rushed out. I have to say that their hospitality was first class. The girl that was pouring our wine, even told us that we could pick fruit from their trees. They had pomegranates, tomatoes, chili peppers and apples just to name a few. As far as the wines are concerned, I was very impressed by their Chardonnays and Zinfandels. They were right on point. I purchased 6 bottles from this winery and brought them home with me. I have to say, my wife and I have definitely enjoyed them and we’re now considering joining their wine club. I can’t wait to go back with more time.

Love this place! Started as a romantic weekend and ended up being a yearly visit! We found the best wines for our taste and the staff is super friendly and helpful. When I ran out of my favorite Olivet Lane Chardonnay, I picked up the telephone and called. Found what I wanted and it was shipped immediately.

A hidden gem in the heart of West County. The entrance begins with a gated driveway. After you follow the long gravel driveway, you come up to the main building, beautiful and grand. Designed with Italian architecture. The staff is welcoming, friendly, accomodating, and naturally down to earth. I was so impressed that I joined the wine club today. I will get 4 shipments per year. I selected the pickup option. The orders are completely changeable. They really do offer you whatever makes you happy. There are pickup parties, harvest parties, etc. Food, wine, music. And a 20% discount to all wine club purchases! Fantastic high quality wines at shockingly good prices. Chardonnay, Sauv blanc, Rose, Pinots, etc. All fantastic. I was truly blown away by this winery! I can’t say enough good things. PLUS the grounds are beautiful. Quant garden patio fit for picnics. Veggies to pick. Beautiful Italian architecture for the main building. I look forward to my next visit(now that I am a member, I can bring up to 5 guests for tastings). Bravo Pellegrini. Bravo.

Beautiful tasting area with delicious whites and rose! There was a nice picnic area where we sat and the lady who did our tasting was walking between our table and another party. Every time we finished one tasting, she was right there with the next! We never had to wait even though I wouldn’t have cared if we did, it was so relaxing. We bought 2 bottles and can’t wait to break them open on a hot summer day!

I love Pellegrini. We arrived near closing time(4:30pm, unbeknownst to us) on a Saturday afternoon. The servers and manager were so friendly and welcoming. They didn’t make us feel bad for staying past 5pm and let us enjoy our bottle of Zin on the tables outside. I love the open and airy tasting room. Also loved the complimentary cheeses and fruit with our wine. The manager gave us great dinner recommendations.

Delicious, Affordable wines in the heart of the Russian River valley! I always enjoy a tasty glass of vino, but when I find a good bottle that doesn’t break the bank I will usually enjoy it that much more. A Crisp Sauvignon blanc($ 20), a smooth unoaked chardonnay($ 20), a Rose of Pinot noir($ 20, tasted like a glass of ripe strawberries!), Pinot noir($ 30, very smooth), Zinfandel($ 30, with a hint of spice), great Merlot($ 20), and a very good Cabernet Sauvignon($ 24, excellent value). The host and educator Adam is very kind, informative and eager to show you a good time. I love family wineries, and you will typically see members of the family walking around during your visit. You will not be dissapointed with a stop at Pellegrini’s Winery!

This review is for the Olivet Lane Vineyard, a part of the Pellegrini group. I was lucky enough to enjoy the wines at the Olivet Lane Vineyard on an adventure through the Russian River Valley. Olivet Lane is awesome and a worlds away from Napa. All of the wines along those road have a nice, small family feel. Olivet Vineyards was no different. The vineyards and tasting room had a quaint, farm feel. There was an extremely warm and welcoming environment during the entire wine tasting experience. A couple of wines that are must tastes are the Pinot Noir and the Chardonnay. Make sure to swing by during an Olivet Lane jaunt!

Great tasting the wines and learning the history of this winery. Tastings are by appointment only. I purchased the 2006 Milestone but when I opened it few weeks later. I found the odor of old wet news papers and the flavor not the same as I tasted at the winery. Then sad violin music began to play in the back ground as I realized my beloved bottle of wine was corked. A corked wine can happen at any winery and does not reflect the credibility of the winery. Its caused by a broken seal in the cork and can only be detected after bottling aging and opening. I called the Winery and talk to customer service and they told me to just bring back the old bottle and they will replace it. Great customer service!

This place does not deserve the mandatory 1-star minimum rating, nor does it deserve your visit. Apparently, it does not matter if you have a paid reservation here, as they are still the gatekeepers when your group is running late. My group called ahead to inform them of this. Instead of handling it the right way, they rejected our planned visit, claiming over the phone that we had not yet purchased a bottle of wine. For this reservation, I believe we actually had purchased about 10! Guess we’ll never find out how it would have tasted… What a shame.

Beware of older man who works there. My wife and I were to share a tasting. He insisted on pouring us two glasses of wine when I requested one. I SAID I WASTHEDESIGNATEDDRIVERBUTHESTILLINSISTEDONPOURINGMEWINE. I guess the Pellegrini family name ain’t what it used to be– so sad.

I just moved to wine country, and didn’t really have any excuse to go tasting until a friend came to visit me. About a dozen vineyards in, we stopped at Pellegrini. Here I thought I was at the end of my wine tolerance for the week… I was wrong! Not only was the selection of wines absolutely incredible, but Diana(the Director of Hospitality) created a wonderful tasting environment — the first full tasting ‘experience’ I encountered in our tour of the valleys. She is so incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and fun — you can’t help but feel like you’re at home. Maybe it’s that feeling that helped me envision myself drinking those same very wines in my home on a regular basis! This is probably the one wine club I will be joining. You MUST include this vineyard in your expedition through wine country. I can’t express how much you’ll be missing out if you don’t!

A cavernous tasting room full of wine barrels and fun-loving wine tasters. Not an intimate experience or a particularly stunning place, but a nice experience nonetheless as the staff was friendly and the wine enjoyable.

Glad I ignored their«By Appointment» sign. Really you can just walk in. Bill was our pourer and he was so welcoming. Their tasting room is in their cellar which is 55 degrees at all times. Ladies wear a jacket… for us that wear dresses tasting. it gets cold. They have local cheeses and crackers while you taste. I really enjoyed their Sauvignon Blanc, Estate Pinot Noir, and especially their Cabernet Sauvignon. This is one of my favorite Cabernet Sauvignon’s! They are extremely dog friendly and just friendly in general!

Can’t complain!

No wine tasting fee, free tour, free appetizers. . YES, you MUST stop here on Olivet Road. Bill, our wine tour guide, was simply awesome. He was friendly, unpretentious, knowledgeable, and just plain COOL. Th tasting room was inviting and welcoming in a 55 degree lofty building, especially in a 100 degree outside weather. We tasted different grapes from different vineyards(pinot noir, chardonnay, and zin) and it was fun tasting the various wines from the steel barrels. Loved the tour and loved Bill. Thanks for the Milton’s French Onion crackers and Bob’s quiche! Will visit again!

Dude — no tasting fee/no pressure/no pretension — great, affordable wine. Family vineyard off-the-beaten path. Free cheese and lots of it. Is this heaven?

This cute winery tasting room is now in it’s third generation(I think) of family wine makers. The tasting room is extremely cold due to the fact that that is where a bunch of their barrels are but they are more than willing to let you borrow a sweatshirt while you taste. It was quite busy with a different tour of people and while we waited patiently for some help I couldn’t help but think just how freezing it was. I almost threw on a sweatshirt & probably should have but the wine was well worth the wait! I ended up walking out of there with half a case of wine! The Sauvignon Blanc they make is a crisp breath of fresh air. The dry Rose had a wonderful flavor with a nice smooth dry finish & the Zin was perfect with a nice amount of spiciness that wasn’t too overpowering! They have my vote for a re-visit!

Just enjoyed the 75th anniversary party at the winery. The family laid out a great feast of food & wine. Fabulous generosity. This is a mid-size wine operation. Lots of varietals. Good quality, dinner wines at reasonable prices. I particularly like the dry rose’, it’s really s-m-o-o-t-h… Gift shop in the tasting area has loads of fine quality, Made in Italy housewares for your kitchen & dining room. If you are Italian, or just wann’a be for a while, you must visit here. This is the real deal family winery without the corporate bullshit you find at the big fancy places.
