Lauterbach Cellars

If you are into geeking out about wine this is the place for you. Super fun family. Spent an hour and a half opening old vintages, comparing barrels with different levels of oak. Nice Pinot. Stu is incredibly knowledgable and have a fun honest chat with you about the wine. Pinot and Syrah available only.

Lauterbach wines are excellent! Small batch wines made by a retired doctor and his wife. They’re really friendly folks and the wine most definitely is delicious! We came back with four bottles of their red. The location is really beautiful as well, away from the main road and the drive is really pretty and pleasant through wineland. We cannot wait to go back!

Was here for the 2014 barrel tasting. The winery is run by a nice young ER doctor and his wife. They make some really impressive wine, small batches, and their barrel futures were absolutely amazing. The Pinot is awesome as was there late blend Syria. I bought some wine here and later was regretting not buying more. I really think the doctor is on to something and you should keep an eye on this winery as you will probably see some pretty impressive wines in future years.

In Sonoma County expectations run high, some of the best wine in the worst is produced here. Lauterbach is a cute family run winery with decent wine. It’s not the best you’ve ever had, but it’s far from the worst. We were here during Barrel Tasting weekend and really enjoyed the time spent talking to the wine maker and tasting his pride and joy grapes.

Lauterbach Cellars produces fantastic wine. We have sampled a number of vintages of their Pinot Noir and Syrah over the years and have been impressed with the quality of their wine. Both varietals are full of fruit notes and well balanced flavors.
They also produce a Syrah Rose and Port which are both excellent. The first is good for the start of a meal and a warm day with BBQ, and the second is perfect to end the evening meal. Just pair it with nice dark chocolate!
Definitely an impressive Sonoma boutique winery with Stew and Barb Lauterbach, a husband and wife team, creating great juice with the help of family and friends.
We love Lauterbach wine so much we’ll be serving it at our wedding, plus we serve it to our clients at their catered events.
