I am a resident of Sonoma County specifically Santa Rosa and it has been very depressing watching this community go through era’s of disintegration by renovations that deceivingly had appearances of Commonwealth and Wellness. Many a good thing have been eradicated from this Community… HOLYROASTCAFE has held fast to this Communities wholesome traditions and fashions of cater. A good cup of Joe should not have to be put through the conditional constraints of the eco-political arena.(Nor existence!) «Blessed-be»!!! HOLYROASTCAFE

First time at Holy Roast. Very very chill. The music is extremely mellow. I’m not sure if this is a «religious» place or not. It’s quiet on a Monday morning tho. The coffee itself, I got medium roast, is okay. A little acidic, I’ll refill with a lighter roast and try that. There is a tv showing nature programs and I finally found a coffee shop with a couple comfy arm chairs.(i think a couch and a few comfy chairs are a necessity in a coffee shop). I like the comfy chairs and relaxing atmosphere. I like it a lot better than A’roma Roasters. I do, however, think 2.25 for a regular coffee is just a bit too much with no free refill and 1 $ refills. I think .50 is more appropriate for a refill. I guess the only place I can get a cuppa for under 2 $ and .50 refills is Starbucks :/. I keep searching for a place like in the city and have yet to find it. I’d return here for the chairs and quiet if nothing else.

I spent a lovely afternoon here drinking coffee and enjoying the atmosphere. They have good dairy-free alternatives, and although their drinks are a little pricey it was worth it to have a foamy soy latte that actually tasted good. I also had one of their burritos, the black bean burrito. Although it wasn’t designated as a breakfast burrito, it seemed more like a breakfast burrito than a regular burrito. It had black beans, eggs, and potatoes in it(I think, I wasn’t entirely sure). Well, whatever it was, it was pretty delicious, especially paired with salsa and sour cream. It was not an «authentic» burrito or anything like that, but it was filling and relatively inexpensive. The overall vibe of this place was very relaxed and chill. They have some lovely photographs and art on the walls, and one couch in the back where you can lounge. I sat at one of their tables and really enjoyed working there on my laptop. They played classical music for the most part, and they have a big flatscreen TV where they had a video playing on mute. The only downside I found to working there was I couldn’t find a plug. I may have just sat at the wrong seat. I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a good cup of coffee or tea, and want to also get some work done.

I love any coffee shop that offers other«milk» alternatives. I got an almond chai. It was so delish, not overly sweet like some. The environment was so chill and relaxed, i love the gluten free pastry options too. I heard the burritos are yummy. Next time ill try one. This was a great place to sip my chai until i had an appointment downtown. Prices are moderate but you get what you pay for and im ok with that!

Coffee is strong but staff can be rude at times. I get that we all get busy, but there is no need to be rude!!! I’m not sure what the guys name is but he needs a refresher on customer service!

Probably my worst café experience ever in the North Bay. Coffee was meh. Espresso? Typical. But, then the kids decended. Loud and taking up all seats, huge line, nothing left in the breakfast items. Maybe this is okay but, Unilocalers, ya let me down

I have been here many times the atmosphere is very unique. The employees are the best people I’ve met in a coffee house. From my understanding most are in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. But they all are genuinely caring, responsible and very personable. Plus the coffee is always good never bitter.

Amazing coffee! I love their coffee, however it is a little pricy for amount of coffee you get. The pastries are decent but the parking is paid only, which is a bummer, but not a deal breaker.

I’ve been working downtown for years, but haven’t ever really bonded with a coffee spot before. I don’t even order here. I just tell Jeremy if I’m feeling like hot or cold, sweet or dark, caffeinated or mellow, and he whips something up for me, often a new creation. Today he created a blackberry mocha with a whisper of mint. I never would have thought of that but he said berries alway pair well with mist and he was right. Last time he made my first ever Tuxedo. You should ask for it.

I still like this place, but it’s taken a turn for the worse. The staffing is really short handed, especially in the afternoon. One poor guy not only works the counter, but makes all the drinks too. Makes for a long wait if there’s another customer or two ahead of you.

Fast food coffee shop. Three young adults asleep on the couch-have a feeling one of the workers knew them as they waved to them. Ordered lattes and milk foamed nicely one pulled well the other ok. Decent not horrible.

Best coffee in town IMO as of like 3 months ago. I bet it’s still good. Will be in soon and will update review if for some reason the coffee is off.

The peanut butter latte made with almond milk was delicious. Perfect for a dessert coffee. The barista there was super nice and had a sense of humor.

Fantastic coffee… Great little shop with cozy seating and filled with sunlight… I had a Cappuccino that was so smooth I thought maybe it had a touch of sugar in it, however it did not, that’s a sure indication of high quality beans being used. The owner allowed me to check out the machines and snap a few photos, and all the equipment is first class. I was glad to see the Astra stainless steel espresso maker, a machine renowned for its capabilities and made right here in California. I did not try, but saw just about every flavor of Torani you could think of, and pastry, burritoes, snacks etc… Great atmosphere, quiet and peaceful… I love this place !

Rule of thumb: eat before weddings. Weddings can be long, so it is always a good idea to eat before it. We stopped by this little café prior to going to the ceremony because we were starving and we needed a caffeine rush! The coffee was amazing! It was warm, tasty, and gave me the caffeine rush I needed! We split the breakfast burrito and I wish we didn’t because I could have finished it all! It was warm and delicious! The cheese was melted perfectly! We sat for a few minutes and really enjoyed the company of the locals. Again, the café is small and quite adorable. The staff is friendly and provide great customer service. The place is really chill and I love local shops because there is so much care that goes into a single cup of coffee and breakfast burrito!

I went in around 2, attempting to kill some time and grab a coffee and something to eat before going to work. There was only one other customer there, seated on a big couch. I was greeted by a tall guy around my age and he asked what I wanted. It was my first time there, so I wanted to examine the menu, but he informed me that their menu was in the process of being made. Nonetheless, I ordered a mocha and asked about the salads that were advertised on their windows; he said that they didn’t have any salads, so I ordered a mozzarella and pesto grilled cheese. He checked and realized that they didn’t have any pre-made, so he asked an older woman(the owner, maybe) to make me one while he rang me up. She responded with, «You can do it,» so he asked her to ring me up. She made me stand there and wait 2 – 3 minutes while she clumsily emptied a package of paper clips into a container near the register. She scoffed, loudly, when I declined whipped cream on my drink. She handed me a receipt and looked at me; I asked if she needed me to sign and she said yes. When my mocha was done, she set it down and yelled, «Mocha,» then walked away. When I thanked her, I was ignored, and the milk in my coffee was burned. I waited another ten minutes and out came my grilled cheese. Which didn’t even live up to its name; it was soggy and limp and not at all browned – just soggy, margarine-soaked bread. When I thanked the guy for making the sandwich, he replied with a sarcastic, «Yep,» without even glancing in my direction. I have given another star for nice décor, yummy pesto, and a homey feel, but it is rare that I am so disgusted by service. I’m a shy person and tend to keep it to courtesy remarks such as «please» and«thank you;» I usually feel a bit annoyed with how much I’m talked to by employees in cafes, and I very rarely feel flat out ignored. But to say they don’t care about the customer at Holy Roast would be an understatement. I paid $ 10 for a burned mocha and a soggy sandwich. I would never recommend anyone to go here based on service alone, regardless of whether or not other nonexistent-menu items are up to par with their prices.
