The staff at this shop is amazing. They are friendly and knowledgeable and make sure you leave with a good fit.
Most useful, they will video your feet while you run on a treadmill to recommend a shoe. I learned a lot!

I’ve come here twice now, both for some running/​training shoes. They were nice, knowledgeable and welcoming every time. They use a treadmill and record you running to look at how your foot falls and how you line up with each step. Then base of what they see, they bring out multiple pairs for you to see which one fits best. They talk you through it as they go, which is nice. I really like this method, and the shoes I’ve gotten from here have always been a big improvement from other store bought ones. I can definitely feel the difference when I train/​run!

WOW…if you think you know a lot about shoes, come into this store and test your theory. These guys are the gods of the shoes. I walked into this store for the first time. I walked in with foot pain from these crappy shoes I bought at Sports Authority. What I thought were «good» shoes because I spent a lot of money on them. And ever since I bought my shoes from Heart & Sole, I have not had any pain in my feet or my back hasn’t acted up.
When you come into the store, you will be greated by Aladin, the owners Goldendoodle. From there, they will put you on their treadmill and evaluate your gait. Then you will get fitted into the appropriate shoe for your foot.
Bryan spent an hour with me and helped me tremendously!!! I am above and beyond appreciative of all of his sincerity and knowledge.
Please do yourself a favor and come treat yourself to a great pair of shoes. You’re worth it!!!

We loved our experience at heart and sole! They were super knowledgeable and helpful. The first pair of shoes I tried on were the ones I bought.

Heart and Sole is an attractive store with a very wide selection of sporting footwear and associated equipment. The sales person who waited on me was not knowledgeable and could not find the right shoes for me! I walked out of the store and called my foot doctor for the correct shoes that he would recommend. Turns out none of the shoes the salesperson showed me were the correct ones for my feet (and these were all models of the same shoe, each with differing specifications). Upon returning to the store I tried the doctor recommended model (in the same line) and did buy them. Questions that I had regarding the footbeds were not correctly answered. When I got home I went on the manufacturer’s website seeking more information about their shoe line. I did find that my foot doctor’s recommendation was right on. But I was unpleasantly surprised to find that Heart and Sole charged me more than the MSRP. Now that is a high priced store and not one I would recommend.

Went into this store l (3 salesmen and no one in the store) looking for running shoes. I tried a few on and picked a shoe, unfortunately they did not have my size. I had to ask them to order as they did not even offer. They took my name and # and said they would call when they came in. I explained to the salesman that I had a race coming up and needed them ASAP! I waited a few weekends still no call so I called them. They said ohhh, we couldn’t get the size! No one even bothered to call and let me know. $ 150 shoes and they couldn’t take the time to follow up. Had they called me and let me know, I would’ve gotten other shoes at their store… instead they just lost a customer

I have been buying my running shoes from Heart and Sole for 5 years now and I can’t say enough great things about their customer service. I am not your average easy customer who can come in and buy the same shoe time after time and be comfortable. It is always something. Maybe it is the fact that I started running at 45 years old. Or that there is always something going on… Pronation, check. One foot slightly bigger than the other, check. Sore IT, ankle, hamstring, quad, calf, yep, all of the above at one time or another.
Regardless of what ails me the guys and ladies at H&S always help me to find the perfect shoe, socks, rollers, bottles, packs, belts, nutrition and clothes that I want and need to make my time on the beautiful trails and roads of Sonoma county a great experience. My husband loves the store because they make it easy to find me the perfect present for every occasion.
Tuesday night 5:30 PM fun runs are a great way to introduce yourself to a great store and their awesome employees. You will find a fun group of people to run with, from the slowest turtle to the fastest rabbit. There are training groups starting year round to train for specific events or just to have some great people to meet and run with. I have met great friends here and would recommend H&S to anyone looking to start into running or up their training routine.

Heart & Sole Tuesday eve fun runs are what got me back into running. Their awesome staff is always there to find the shoes you need for the distances and terrains you want. From people who have never run before, to elite ultra marathoners, they have what you need. New store location, same great «home of running» feel.

I guess they have reviews on their old location page but supposedly this is their new location. Since I never went to the old one, I can’t comment on if the change is better or not but I had a great visit here.
First of all, the people there are happy, helpful, and most important — honest. The owner fit me for some shoes, then put me on a treadmill to show me how they were working (I had to pay 200 dollars to do this in the past!), and then talked to me more about it fit and how to keep myself from running injuries.
Then after spending all that time with me, he looked at my old shoes and said I actually didn’t have to buy new ones yet and could wait until my old shoes were around 450 miles used. I felt relieved that first of all, my current shoes were fine and dandy but even more so, the owner was honest and not trying to weasel me to spend money. I ended up buying a roller/​massage type device for my foot but trust me, this visit made a lifetime customer out of me!
