Tasted with owner and winemaker Brett Raven on October 20. Had a great experience at this home, overlooking the vineyards. Could not have had a better time. We are primarily red wine drinkers but Brett’s 2012 Kismet, a blend of Sauvignon blanc and Semillon was quite tasty. Very creamy taste to it. The Pinots were very good as well. The 2012 was more full-bodied than the 2011. Star of the tasting were the 2011 and 2012 merlots. Light and easy to drink, with loads of fruit. The 2012 is new and fuller and richer. Another great experience with the winemaker – check out Frostwatch.

The things I’d do to get my hands on this wine. I’d become a circus poodle if they’d give me a case of their Pinot. Stumbled across this fabulous, hush hush label during Barrel Tasting in the valley. Needless to say, for me, they were the star of the event. After tasting their wine, no one else quite hit the mark. I bought a few cases immediately and it is a good thing I did because while small vineyards deliver big of flavor, supply is limited. Now Dad and I live in constant fear that my mother will find the last remaining bottles we’ve hidden deep in the wine cellar. She is like a bloodhound for the good stuff and I constantly have to find new ways to hid my wine treasures from her. This wine is 100% worth hiding and keeping for yourself. After one taste you’ll never share a bottle again.
