David’s Shoe Repair

Nice people! The store is well marked and easy to find. Off-​street parking. They also carry Western wear. Dave does good work. Glad I found him!

I took a pair of brand new shoes that I had bought for my daughter’s wedding in to be stretched a bit. I gave it to David’s wife in the original box because I wanted them to stay nice… when I picked them up they were in an old ratty plastic bag. I asked where my box was and they didn’t know. The wife said she remembers that I gave her the box and then changed her story saying I have the box. I assured her that I don’t have the box… I asked her to look for it but they didn’t find it. The shoes weren’t any different after they took them and I’m out $ 60.00 because I can’t return them on the internet without the original box.
What kind of shoe repair shop loses the shoe box??? Can’t believe it… and David’s wife told me that my only option was to try to sell the shoes !! After they lost the box !!

$ 80.00 to repair (re-​sole) a pair of work boots from Sears ??? Me thinks NOT!

I am so pleased with this shop. I took my prized leather boots which another shop had for eight months and damaged instead of repair. David’s resoled my boots that the other shop claimed were impossible to resole, and returned them to me in beautiful condition in one week.

I’m giving this store one star because I was appalled with their service.
I went to get new heel bottoms on my high heels. I dropped them off on Wednesday, paid half in advanced, and was told they would be ready the next day. I came back on Friday and the woman told me that her husband or the owner was unable to fix my shoe. She could not tell me why but told me to call back in an hour. When she gave me back my shoes one heel bottom was completely removed and the other was still in tack. He did not even leave my shoes so I could wear them. These were expensive heels that I needed for a wedding I was in the next day.
In worst case scenario, they should have at least called me to tell me there was an issue. I should have known when they didn’t even ask for my telephone number. I went right away to a place in the Coddingtown Mall that repairs shoes and he said that they will be finished in one hour.
This shoe store did not take my telephone number to tell me that my shoes wouldn’t be repairable, couldn’t fix something that was repairable and left my shoes in worse condition than I left them… they could not be worn!
