Computer Recycling Center

I love this place. Great employees with fantastic attitudes. I have been bringing Electronics and old tube televisions here for years. I never hesitate to refer folks here.
A few months ago, I was told I needed to install an airport to receive wifi. I had no idea what I really needed. I stopped by CRC with questions. Where would I go to find one? What do I have to look for in compatibility? How much would something like this cost?
The answer I got from Nan was…
We have it here. Yes, it will work with a Mac/​IPad. $ 20.

This place used to be AWESOME! However, I recently went here and the guy who fixed the computers is gone. They no longer fix computers. The woman said they only work on the computers they sell and since they sell over-​priced junk, I guess they’re not going to be fixing any computers.
Am now looking for a new place that is reasonably priced and takes only a day or two to fix.

Had to recycle some old equipment from my office. A couple of professional speakers, a printer and an old dance light. I called in the morning to ask if they would take it and they said yes. Drove there in the late morning and I initially missed the entrance on S.R. Ave but found it after going their website and read the explanation on the directions. A little hard to find if you don’t go to the website. Pulled in and went to the shop instead of the drop-​off and was kindly directed to the correct location. The gentleman at the drop off was really friendly and grabbed the speakers from my hand (50 lb speakers) and carried them off. I had no problem carrying them but I found that as a great gesture.
Great and easy place to recycle and will be dropping off all my electronics there from now on

Nasty-​Rude New Lady owner$$$$$$$$focused, lost Me as a customer and giver/​recycler at this business. The previous owner was awesome… maybe she waz having a bad day!!!

CRC is great. Their general rule is, «If it has a cord, we’ll take it.»
TV’s (particularly those nasty old tube-​types) have a lot of toxics in them. So do computers, printers, fax machines, old UPS’s, etc. — more than you might believe. All of the stuff they take in is checked to see if it still works, in which case they try to clean it up and resell it. The rest does not go to some 3^rd-​world country (where all of those toxics end up in their environment), but to Hayward, CA, where it is completely disassembled and they recycle way over 90% of all of the materials.

I dropped my computer off about a week and 3 days ago. jonathon who has always been do helpful… said it would take about a week… I received a phone call from a woman on Wednesday asking for my pass code… then on Saturday… I received 3 calls… with messages for my passcode…
But I couldn’t return the call because I was at work… I new that there may be a possibility it would take a few more days to complete because they hadn’t followed up with each other with my passcode…
I went in on Thursday my only day off when their open… with no expectation of getting my
Computer but hopeful I would because Jonathan had said they could access it without my passcode… jonAthon said it still wasn’t done yet… told him I would try again later… because I really need my computer… he said ok… I checked back a 2 times… no problem again…
So this morning I called to see if it was done before I drove to SF for work…

I don’t know why people who are contributing to a community… think they
Can treat people anyway they want…
When I go back to get my computer…
I will take someone with me… And record when I’m there… on my phone…
Hopefully my information is safe… and they didn’t do anything vindictive…
I will never refer anyone there again…
But with there lack of respect for customer service… I doubt they’ll care…

i have bought 2 computers and am very happy with them. I have all my computers repaired there. They are very friendly, offer ways to save me money, which means they loose a sale. I think they are honest and my money is well spent.
i have had other computer repair people. the first time is great, then its okay, then I start to feel like i“m being ripped off. I never feel like that with them. Hope others give them a try. I really like those people.
i now know the person i worked with no longer works there. i can not comment on the new workers today
