My husband and I were driving by and it was just the type of place I wanted to come to Wine Country for. I looked at the previous reviews and thought I would try it out. So glad I did. Joanne greeted us and we did a tasting for only $ 10 a piece. She knew the wines very well and gave us their history. I did not have the red onion wine but the Chardonnay was amazing. I will be ordering some to send home. They have a happy hour from 5 – 8 on Fridays. Live music, free appetizer and half off drinks. The grapes were amazing. They had chardonnay grapes that were getting picked the follow Monday. You have to try this great spot.

Seemed like amateur winemakers. We did not enjoy any of them. The Pinot was the most drinkable and the nose of the cab was very off. The taste unfortunately matched the nose.

Great Chardonnay. Serve it ice cold. The man who helped us was a little difficult to understand but very friendly and accommodating. Call ahead if you are showing up early or during bad weather.

Have been driving by this place for years, decided to stop last week. Small tasting room and cheerful hostess. The tastings were generous size. You could really taste the winemaker’s «signature» on all their wines. Also, they have something no other winery around offers — red wine with red onion! Yes, that’s right! Red wine with red onion! It is supposed to cure whatever health ailments you may have at the moment, such as sore joints, the reason my hubby decided to bite and bought 3 bottles! Will let you know how it all works out.

Sometimes small is good. Like when driving a Morris minor, or eating a really rich creamy dessert. The Château Adore tasting room is small, not a Château at all. But it is good. Clean, bright and airy. Wine tastefully displayed on one table and in the 4 foot tall racks on one wall. Tasting fee is $ 10, supposedly for just 3 samples. But our gracious hostess having no other guests, gave us the full tour of all the wines, we got to taste 7. And the pours were generous. The winemaker, John Wong, has a signature style in all the varietals he crafts. He coaxes spice flavors out of the grapes. His judicious use of oak provides structure without falling into the trap of making the wine puckery with tannin. The pinot noir, merlot, zinfandel & cabernet all have a similar mouth feel, but in each the intrinsic fruit flavors are easy to distinguish. Now the surprise. Onion wine. You read that correctly. Red wine steep in onion slices while fermenting. The wine is surprisingly mellow and quite tasty. The label is a hoot. It says that this is a Chinese style wine that will treat and alleviate all sorts of medical woes from painful knees to high blood sugar. I’m a sucker for claims made for herbal medicine, and when a good tasting red wine will heal my wounds, I’ll drink it. I bought three bottles. Prices range from $ 17 to high $ 40’s.

I stopped into this place recently when I was staying at a nearby hotel. I saw reviews for the onion wine and I thought it was so unique that I had to try it. I’m so glad I did! The owners were so welcoming and helpful. The onion wine was amazing! I’m sorry that I didn’t buy more. They were extremely friendly and told us that they would take our picture for us and email it to us later. The other wines were really good as well, we also got a bottle of Cabernet. Definitely go to this warm and welcoming place for some amazing wine — and try the onion wine!

My group came here yesterday and had a great time! This is a family owned winery that used to sell their grapes to Kendall Jackson. Now they make their own wine and it’s really good. If you taste their wine you would think it would cost around $ 40, but they only sell it for $ 20. They have multiple gold medal wines. The owner was so nice, he even took our group out to the vineyard and took some nice pictures of us and emailed them to us. It was really sweet of him to take the time to do that. Definitely check this place out!

I was very excited to visit this winery, as it just opened. This winery is surrounded by their vineyards that rise along the glorious Fountaingrove hills in Russian River Valley. The varietals grown are Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Chardonnay. For many years Kendall Jackson Winery sourced their grapes from this vineyard. When KJ changed sources(to obtain larger lots, no doubt) the growers decide to produce there own award-winning wines. The tasting staff who poured for me and my wife was great and very personable. We tasted a Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon all were amazing. Of my favorite was the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon. It had a taste of mocha dark berries with a lingering of baking spices at the end. A side note: This one of the very few wineries in Sonoma County that is Asian-owned. Check it out
