I had a Oakland Vest made by them that was a little long for me, so when I sat on the bike the seat pushed the vest upwards. I brought it in to be adjusted, which they quoted me a fair price for. I was told it would be two to four days, at which point I asked if it could be shipped to either my home, or their Oakland store, I live in Hayward, and its an hour and a half to two hour drive each way to Santa Rosa for me. I was told they would move things around and get it done today if I wouldn’t mind waiting a few hours. I agreed, and went and had a leisurely lunch across the street. A few hours later I got a call, my vest was done. I came in to pick it up, and it was perfect. Not only that, they knocked $ 10 of the quoted price for me. A++ Customer Service!
I have had the vest itself for almost three years now, and its sturdy vest, made of good quality leather, and a nice even dye job. The inside pockets are spacious, large enough to hold a kindle, so even when I was riding without saddlebags I could carry the things I needed for a trip. I absolutely love the vest, and recommend California Leather Creations to folks when asked for a good place to buy a vest /​jacket or chaps.

Completely unhelpful. I called and explained to the lady that I had a leather jacket already, but I needed to send it back to its original manufacturer to be tailored, so I needed my measurements taken. She told me no problem, it’d take about fifteen minutes. So I drove all the way out to Piner road, whereupon she told me she needed the jacket and refused to measure me at all. I understand she didn’t want to be blamed if the jacket didn’t end up fitting, but it would have been nice if she hadn’t wasted my time.

I came here to check out their leather repair. I turned in two leather trench coats fir repair. They did an excellent job.
The retail side is awesome. I LOVE the smell of leather. I walked around and looked at everything they had on the rack. Very well made and of good quality leather. Mostly biker type stuff, but some fashionable stuff, too. I’m looking forward to seeing what other types of leather items they will make.

Decided to purchase a new riding jacket after CLC altered and repaired my old one several times over the years. All excellent repairs! I chose a style off their rack and made several changes to it, i.e. Removable liner, pocket deletion etc. Rather then alter an existing jacket they custom made me one and had it done in three days! For less than $ 400. The material quality and workmanship is outstanding. I recommend them for all riding leather needs whether it be repair, alterations or new.

I had one of their jackets for a few years now, and unfortunately was kind of outgrowing it. Didn’t want to part with it, so shipped it back there for them to let it out a bit and do some repairs. (yes, I love their jackets that much, all the way from Chicago)
They did great work (as usual) and not too much money for all the work they did.
I won’t buy anyone else’s leather as their jackets are $ ⁶⁰⁰⁄₈₀₀ dollar quality at $ 300.00 pricing!

Thank you, California Creations! My dad passed away a few years ago, and left me his California Creations chaps. He rode in those chaps for years, and they’ve been through all kinds of weather, a couple crashes, and a lot of biker runs! Not only do they fit great even on my female frame, but the brass hardware is still in good shape, and the leather is perfect. They’re thick and soft, and even after thousands of miles on the road look like new. I started riding after he died, but now every time I wear them I feel like he’s there with me. Thank you so much for making such great quality gear– it’s a treasure to use something of his!

I was fortunate to find a jacket from this company at our local Goodwill store. It’s in nice shape & the high quality is obvious.
I stopped by the California Creations store in Santa Rosa today, to ask about my ‘new’ second-​hand jacket. The woman working there was helpful & she told me my jacket was made in the 80s. I was surprised because it’s not very worn & still smells nice. She told me she recognized the jacket because she made it herself! She seemed pleased to see it still being worn & enjoyed.
I was impressed with the pride she showed in her workmanship & I love this old jacket, so I couldn’t resist buying a new, fringed vest while I was there. I already love it, too! My friend bought a nice, little purse, also.

Very skilled sewing skills. I have had chaps modified and bought a beautiful vest. I was talked into buying XL chaps at a Harley dealer… the leather stretched as leather does, and the chaps hung on me. The alterations are not noticeable and the chaps now fit perfectly.
