I have fond memories of being a regular here although they weren’t always welcoming to the younger crowd. The location & live music are great. As an adult w/kids & bills though the drinks are bit pricey.

Aroma’s is my favorite coffee shop and has been for many years now. The location is easy and convenient. There are plenty of tables and space to relax and enjoy your coffee. The ambiance is comfy cozy with great music lightly playing in the background. I really enjoy coming here and getting a Iced Loco Motive and going to town on business work. The coffee is great and made at their location… SUPPORTYOURLOCALBEAN =)

I am consistently let down by the decision to close and lock up before posted hours. I tried to go last night at 10:40 before closing time(11pm) and the doors were locked with the employees cleaning up early for the night. I regularly come to this café, it’s just annoying for me to continue to give them my business when I can’t rely on them! As a store manager, I would be very angry if I found my employees doing this and losing out on company dollars.

A great place for a strong cup o jo. They roast their own beans on site, which is pretty awesome. There are plenty of tables & chairs inside and outside making it a good place for hanging out. The menu offers coffees, food, Italian sodas, and coffee beans by the pound. My only gripe is the time of wait when in line– don’t attempt to go if you are in a hurry.

Great coffee shop. I had a few things to read over and this was the perfect place for it. The lights are not too bright, the music is not too loud, and the smell of the coffee really is enough to wake me up. I however did order some coffee and enjoyed every single sip in a house-in mug. The ambience is so mellow and friendly and you just feel so comfortable from the second you walk in. I plan on returning the next time I have some papers to look over or just to enjoy some relaxation time

I love coming here for their yummy chai tea and to paint or write. Great hang out spot, though it does get crowded sometimes, it’s still a great place to get a cuppa and relax.

This place was pretty busy after work. I liked the mocha I got, it was a good balance of chocolate and coffee –not too sweet and just the right amount of caffeine after a long day. They also have a very wide tea selection, and some pastries I was curious about but didn’t get this time. There was a line but it wasn’t too long since the orders were being taken at a good pace. The bathroom was clean-ish. Nothing to really complain about but the hall towards it is kind of tight and the mirror on the opposite wall makes it look like there might be two doors. So this bottleneck is kind of tight and a little confusing if you haven’t been there before. Aside from that it was a pretty pleasant café visit.

The coffee and tea selection along with the atmosphere make this a nice place to post up, put headphones on, and do some work or play on the laptop. The late hours are also a plus. I have been in here 4 times now and enjoy it, however the service(friendliness, mainly) is lacking. That turn off reduces this joint to a three star establishment.

Cool coffee spot. Parking is metered. Great people watching, all sorts walking around Railroad Sqaure. Watched them testing out the new Smart Train while I sipped coffee and chatted with a friend outside. The Santa Rosa information center is in the same parking lot, so it’s a good place to meet up before going out & exploring the town. Have a few out of country organic coffee choices, noticed some Costa Rican & Indonesian blends. Inside is hip and cozy, they have a TV showing local business and events. They put out some good looking sandwiches, with mostly organic ingredients the barista said. Looked like a small dining area to my left for dinner. Made a great soy late for $ 3.85. Service was quick considering the amount of customers. Friendly, would stop by again.

So sad that I have to write this review after having been here a few times and I’ve written a few tips that are so positive. But I’m the type of person who doesn’t use expired products. I just can’t. I know that even though the milk may expire today and it very well isn’t bad, just can’t do it. That being said, when I’m paying over $ 5 for a latte, I expect my milk to be within the«use by» date. I asked for skim for our coffee bc there wasn’t any out on the counter so they handed me the gallon. I told them it was expired(by two days) and they told me they are able to use milk for two weeks after the use by date. I asked if they had another gallon that wasn’t expired and they told me it would have the same expired date on it. I told them nevermind we didn’t need the milk that we would drink it black. I just couldn’t shake the fact my latte was made with the same expired milk after I paid for it. I asked to get my money back and the woman was rude and seemed annoyed that I didn’t want to drink expired milk. They gave me a refund and we left. This is really upsetting because I really liked their Chai lattes and Chai shakes and some of their desserts but who knows what else is expired. Plus after giving me an attitude, I’m in no hurry to get back there. Instead I went to Brew and grabbed a Chai latte and had very friendly service. There are many other coffee houses in the area so I don’t need to waste my money on expired products and rude employees.

The Coffee is off the charts. BUT in the last couple of years they have gotten a new set of employees. Still some of the original people. But A LOT of new-ish people. And I have not had ONE good experience with these people. It’s really no big deal if someone messes something up. But when I have gone up to try to remedy the mess up, I have be berated, and blamed for the mess up. They are usually older women. Voices got raised, by the employees. NOT okay. I have experienced them telling me flat out to move out pf the way so they could mop the entire store INTHEMIDDLEOFTHEDAY.(same women too) Rude and totally unsafe. No wet floor signs to be found. Floor was SLIPPERY. But sometimes it’s a good experience, just hope you get the woman with dread locks and blue bandanna. She’s the only one who knows what she’s doing there.

We were relegated to go here because the line was too long at Omelette Express. Walking in we saw they had an ok selection of breakfast items including a quiche, a breakfast burrito, a ham and cheese croissant, tamales, a bunch of various pastries and the breakfast sandwich my friend and I ended up ordering. There were a few patrons in the place but nobody in front of us. I ordered coffee and was handed my empty cup with no direction as to what to do or where to go. My friend ordered water and was not given anything. So we proceeded down the way and I saw you could fill your cup. The condiments were on the opposite side of the room.(A little direction on this from the staff would have been helpful, knowing this is a tourist area and we are unfamiliar faces) We went and sat down and waited for our sandwiches. Looking at the counter a few minutes later, across the room, we spot our sandwiches sitting on there. My friend ran up and got them. Again, no direction when we ordered as to how we would get our food. After inspecting our«bacon, egg, and cheese» sandwich for $ 5.50 which was a giant lump that had been plopped on our croissant we realized it had been microwaved to within an inch of its life! The cheese was crusty and the eggs were rubbery. Disgusting. The other thing we noticed while we dined, is the amount of dust build up on the ceiling fans inside! There is no way they have been cleaned in years. One of the fans was not running so we could clearly see it lining each fan blade about 2 inches thick.

My girl brought me to this coffee joint a couple times recently and I really liked it. There was some guy performing a live acoustic set one night that was really good. We always find a spot to sit and enjoy our drinks. We can always hear each other. This is a really nice place.

Now I wouldn’t say this is the place to have a quiet study session. It’s always busy when I go(which is a good sign). I’ve never gone wrong with anything from their menu. So many good drink options. From hot to cold, to fruit drinks and smoothies. I have yet to explore their food menu… but my favorites are the cold blended coffee drinks.

Early morning and the goat was closed… sad face. Thankfully, just a hop skip and a jump to aromas… wow…it had been years since I had been in here. It was before 7am, so it was empty and fun to explore. :) The coffee(I ordered a 4 shot vanilla latte) was maybe decaf? I don’t know but man… bummer! Hence 3 stars. But other than that, the atmosphere was cozy and quite beautiful. Lots to look at! Quite pleasing on the eyes. :)) It looks like they have events for the night owls. What about us roosters? ;) Not much to say because we really didn’t stay and the coffee was meh. But I have been spoiled by ninja star and the flying goat. I’m sure this place is MUCH better than Starbucks or some other chain chain. The aroma was quite nice there… nice and fitting name. :))

I am not a coffee person but we stopped here to get a little snack and drink before exploring downtown for the Peanuts statues. As a coffee place goes, it was pretty comfy. Loved the different color lights. We got a couple cookies and regular drinks. The cookies were yummy! Staff was friendly, a nice place to go.

I love coffee! Like I would swim in it, if that were possible. The iced Aroma is wonderful and their regular coffee is great. I’ve not had the sandwich or any of their stuff behind the counter but I’ve heard theirs is delcious. The service is always, always friendly.

My go-to high school spot continues to delight years later with a lively ambiance, quality coffee, and quirky décor. It’s a bit of a cozy but quixotic hipster vibe, and very NorCal. It isn’t the best coffee, and it isn’t a place to pass the hours, but it still is a solid café and great addition to Santa Rosa, and deserves the recommendation. A’Roma is also great during the summer, when they bring out chairs and tables onto the patio and serve ice cream as well. Enjoy!

I personally love the ambiance(it’s very NorCal hipster, especially with the posters and wall décor and the Christmas lights near the holidays), and I like to come here to catch up with friends. I always get the Oregon chai latte– it’s really sweet but so good. However, the food is pretty subpar, and the staff aren’t always the friendliest. But it’s a cute place to go in Downtown Santa Rosa!
