Maira has been doing my hair for the past few months now and I’m so excited to have found such talent in the Santa Rosa Beach area. With having such a busy schedule I’ve had problems in the past with booking appointments at previous salons, but not with Maira. She always makes me an appointment with ease. I always leave feeling fabulous. Great job with trendy hair cuts and fresh highlights! Oh and you must try her Tea! What a great experience… time after time. :-)

I read reviews here and Facebook looking for the most skilled stylist I could find for my haircut. I had been having probs w my bangs and other stylists just couldn’t get it right. I have medium length layered hair. My bangs were just not blending with the rest of my hair. Maira quickly grasped the problem and created a wonderful solution to my styling problems. FINALLY I found the skilled artistic stylist I needed. I will be back. She’s very pleasant and the entire experience was just right.

I recently saw Maria for the first time for a Keratin Express and a haircut. First the haircut – excellent. Well worth the $ 50, on par with anyone I have seen in Atlanta. Big relief to find a stylist I am comfortable with in the area.
Second, the Keratin Express. I’m really happy with it. My hair is curly/​frizzy enough that I can’t just wash it and go. With a great cut and the Keratin Express I can. Super happy with the results.
I got exactly what I was looking for with Maria’s cut and the keratin treatment.
I feel like I have to address what the negative reviewer said. I don’t know what happened during that appointment and I can’t and don’t want to address the hair style situation, but she said she found Maria to be rude, which I would like to address. I found Maria to be a really nice person, but not in that fake, over-​the-​top, sugar-​sweet way. I can see how people might find her a little quiet and possibly direct if they just met her. She’s not the superficial Chatty Kathy type (thank God) that a lot of stylists seem to be. She is an efficient professional who will tell you what she thinks the problem is and how to solve it. This did in my case involve her pointing out a flaw in my previous cut, but she was right. Either way, this did not offend me. She was in no way rude, just said something straight out, which some people aren’t used to. Seemed fair enough to me. I guess if you are easily offended, you might feel something is «off» as the negative reviewer described it. But my impression is that she is a solid, slightly no-​nonsense, genuine, nice person, and expert at her job. Talk to her – you’ll see!
Anyway, I’ll definitely be back to see her. My hair hasn’t looked this good or been this easy to manage since I left Atlanta.

Maira did a fantastic job on my blonde highlights and haircut. Her salon is small and cozy with fun and modern décor.
She was able to create the look I was going for just as I had envisioned. She is sweet, polite and I will certainly be back in her chair soon.

I feel like I have to write a review to warn others about this salon. This is a single-​chair salon in an office complex and the stylist does not seem to know anything about her trade.
I booked an appointment for a «blow-​out». When I arrived, the stylist had two children in the very small salon who she said she was going to fit in around my appointment as a favor to a friend. This didn’t bother me, but she made comments to the kids about how long I was going to take since I didn’t tell her ahead of time that I had long hair? Something was «off» and I was nervous about trying a new place, so I showed her a few pictures to make sure we were on the same page. I pulled up a few pics of Kate Middleton thinking that was as typical a blowout as any!
She seemed VERY annoyed that I had photos and proceeded to wash my hair without conditioner, add gobs of hair gel (hair gel?!) to my wet hair and then set me under a dryer while she attended to her friends’ kids, all the while complaining about my hair and my appointment.
Once my hair was dry and unpleasantly crunchy she waved a hair dryer at it and then unsuccessfully tried to curl it, telling me I have a bad haircut for what I was looking for. She then tried to straighten it, making excuses for why it wasn’t working, and joking that my boyfriend was not going to like my hair. Eventually I realized there was no saving this appointment. I politely said I thought it was best if I left. I paid her, even though my hair looked and felt terrible, and rushed over to Rolland’s I’m Seaside where they saved the day!
This stylist does not know what she’s doing and her demeanor was very rude. My impression is that she does hair for her friends and they leave positive reviews. I could not recommend this salon to anyone! There are many other great hair salons in the area.

It’s always a little difficult to find a new stylist. I am new to the area, and wasn’t sure where to start looking for a new stylist. I read Maira’s reviews, which were very good, and thought I’d give her a try. I am very glad I did. She was awesome! She is thoughtful about how to cut and color hair. She is very easy to work with. She’s simply adorable. I will definitely go back!

My wedding is in 30A this fall at the Vue on 30a (near Gulf Place) and needed a local hairdresser to come on-​site for hair and makeup. Her fees are reasonable, and she is very accommodating, good listener and worked with my frizzy hair.
We just did a consultation trial session at her salon, which is cozy, and nicely decorated. There is one salon chair. She’ll need to expand when she gets busier. The décor is modern. I sipped Turkish tea as she groomed my bushy mane into shape and did a trial run. This lady will bend over backwards for you!

I met Maira when I first moved here at her previous place of employment in Gulf Place and was hooked after my first appointment. I was thrilled to hear she opened her own salon and just tried it out for the first time today — full highlights + trim. She didn’t disappoint! Cutting curly hair is tough but she is a pro. Consistently good work and her highlights are some of the best I’ve gotten. I’m glad I followed her to her new spot.
Not only is Maira talented (and conveniently located to my home in SRB), she is kind and really a joy to be around for these longer appointments.
I highly recommend her and her new salon to anyone in the area. Ill be back!

Maira is the best hairdresser around! You want style she’s got it for you. I always loved when Maira did my hair. Color and cut was always on point!
