Called them for a tow on a Sunday via my road side assistance. The guy brought the truck over, ended up fixing my problem and not needing the tow. When I tried to tip him $ 20 for not needing the tow, he wouldn’t take the tip. Nice guy!

My friend and I were stranded on Hwy 98 near Destin when our car broke down. Mike, the owner, answered our late night call and sent someone right away to help us. As we were two women, 65 miles from our lodging, he helped us solve our problem and made sure we were safe. I cannot thank him or praise him enough! He will look at our car tomorrow and work to get us home on time.

I just had a very bad experience here. My car wouldn’t start, and I had it towed to John John’s. The battery was dead, however they told me that it also needed a new alternator and quoted me over $ 800. When I asked what would happen if I just replaced the battery, they told me the car would die if I turned on the AC, radio, etc. I did replace the battery, however, (I had a friend do it for me) and the alternator was absolutely fine. I have turned the car on and off several times, run the ac, radio, etc over the past week to make absolutely sure that they had in fact just been «preying» on a seemingly stupid female client. What’s really infuriating is that they charged me $ 100 for the wrong diagnostic. This was just bad service, and unethical service, all the way around. It is surprising as they know in this small town one unhappy client results in dozens of lost potential clients

Avoid! My experience with John John automotive has been that they will rip you off as much as possible. Not only will they overcharge for work and parts they don’t actually install, but they left my lug nuts loose. Very dangerous. High labor rates and a horrible local reputation.

used them recently on our car which was flooded and wouldn’t start, nice guy, we were charged $ 80 for a tow of 5.9 miles from our house to their shop, seems excessive for an 8 minute drive, henry’s imports in panama city said a tow to their shop of about 45 minutes would be about $ 45

Been going there over 10 years with 5 different cars. Always first-​rate service. Very knowledgeable crew. Not the cheapest work in the area, but a fair price. And they always let me know up front what it will be and never raise the price for no reason. Doug is very friendly, as are most of the staff. Best thing is that I can trust them not to do sloppy work. The warranties are always clearly presented to me. Had a bad experience with a «shade tree» mechanic in the area years ago, and have been going to John-​John ever since.

We just bought a condo in Sandestin a year ago and did not know any auto mechanic in the area. Coincidently or unfortunately both our cars, BMW and Infiniti, broke down within a few months apart and the manager of our condo unit recommended this auto repair shop. I have absolutely no complaints in dealing with them both times with my cars being fixed there, the manager, Doug, was a no nonsense guy with few words and could appeared to be somewhat arrogant, but he explained to me about my car’s problems and fixed them in a timely fashion. They also guarantee their works for one year. I am grateful to have found a trustworthy and reliable auto shop in a new area.

Had a really bad experience with this place. Not only did they not listen to my requests, but I had to bring my vehicle back because they made a mistake (I forgot what it was) on a simple tire change and balance. When I picked up my vehicle the second time, I noticed the freshly changed tires were OBVIOUSLY low on air. I asked them to check them and turned out that the person had filled them based on what was listed inside the door rather than what was printed on the tire. I gave them a poor review on another site.
I like to give people a second chance, so I returned only to have them call me up an hour later to tell me to come get my car and they would explain. Seems as though they found my poor review and didn’t want to work on my vehicle. I seriously wouldn’t waste my time with this place. Even their front end alignment machine was broken still.
They were very timely though. Now I know why.
