What a huge disappointment to return to after coming to Cocoon’s after all these years! We have loved coming to Cocoon’s for so many things during our yearly vacations and this year will probably be our last with the new owners. The chicken salad was the worst, the worst, Jerry! We threw it out and that is saying something! Yikes! We had really looked forward to the smoked tuna dip and while it was not horrible, it definitely was not what we had expected and remembered. Wished the new owners had found the recipes in an old armoire (ala Seinfeld) or paid the former owners for their excellent recipes! Majorly disappointed!

What a delicious breakfast! Go now– you will not be disappointed. The breakfast burrito is delish. The sausage and gravy biscuits are decadent. Not a wide variety on the menu but who cares when everything is so good? And try the smoked tuna dip!

Must try their smoked tuna dip – so tasty. We had the Cuban Press, Brooklyn and Grilled Chicken Provolone. Get a large sweet tea – fresh brewed taste. Many locals present when we visited. Owner was so helpful and kind. Great place for sandwiches/​quick lunch.

Not everything on cocoon’s menu is good.
The pulled pork was good. The muffaletta was drowning in mayo and mustard. Seriously, my daughters grilled cheese was better. Oh well.
Definitely check out the daily special. It’s a great deal and includes a drink. Everything else is rather pricey.
Not much seating but the service is speedy. I’ll go back because they are decent and close.

The owners of Cocoon’s know about food! This place is always our first stop when we get to the beach. We stock up on dips and snacks to munch on throughout the week. I recommend buying the Smoked Tuna Dip, Crab and Spinach Dip and the Smoked Shrimp. The Smoked Tuna Dip is the best I’ve had anywhere and it’s a pretty popular menu item in the panhandle. They also have barbecue sandwiches amongst other lunch items. If you are a hot sauce lover, they have the largest selection in their grocery section that I’ve ever seen anywhere.
