Thrift stores run by individuals rather than by charitable groups have become more common and generally I’ve found them to be unworthy of more than one visit. We heard about this place when someone at our garage sale mentioned that they buy storage lockers and they had some fishing gear here. So we dropped by, and we saw the place was actually quite large. Keep in mind it’s quite unorganized for the most part, many things just aren’t clean and many things aren’t priced, but if digging around and finding deals is your thing, it’s worth a look. I’ve managed to get an old bamboo fishing rod, DVDs, tools and other random odds and ends, all at great prices. To top it off, they seem reasonable about negotiating. To what degree? I don’t know, but the gentlemen at the front has been professional and reasonable. After seeing countless thrift stores come and go in Ventura County because they price too high, refuse to negotiate, and only stock garbage, it’s good to see a place with a variety of decent things and a decent attitude.
