Great little community theater. I have attended at least 5 plays here and each one was quite entertaining with professional acting and quality sets. There is not a bad seat in the house, since it is such a small theater. We usually sit in the back row in new comfortable seats and can hear every line. There’s a nice sitting area near the ticket window with cookies and coffee available before and at intermission. You can reserve seats in advance on line, but you pick them up and pay for them at the door. Prices are reasonable at $ 18. We make a night of it and have dinner at Enzo’s before the play. There are also matinees which tend to sell out, so it is a good idea to reserve your seat. The play we saw tonight called«Clean House» was quirky fun.

My husband and I went to see Other Desert Cities last night. It was well done with great acting! Our theater has outstanding plays and amazing actors that will take you to out of your element into their world. We have been to many and will continue to go and encourage other Ventura County citizens to come to the beautiful Santa Paula Theater Center – it is such a gem!

What a wonderful Community Theater! Such a nice group of people. The staff were genuinely interested in sharing their love of live theatre, the beautiful Chautauqua-esque building & the sweet little town of Santa Paula with us. And the show was pretty great too. We saw the Backstage Production of «Chasing Summer». We’ll certainly return for other shows. All in all, it was quite an enjoyable evening.

Just joined and they introduced me to this theater. We were able to get tickets reserved together which was fun. And there is a room in which to wait and socialize before the doors open for the plays. That was a plus. Have been to Santa Paula many times, but was unaware of what great local theater we have access to there. Hopefully more people will discover the group, so it can continue. We don’t need to travel into LA and pay $ 50 or more to see live theater. So glad I was able to attend. Good idea to get there early for street parking, but since the theater is part of a large park, you could take a basket for supper and enjoy that before the production.

I recently attended one of the ‘Backstage Productions’ at the Santa Paula Theater Center. It consisted of ten one-act plays running about ten minutes or so each. The writing was outstanding and some of the actors had credentials which included performances on National TV. No need to go to L.A., fight traffic, pay an outrageous amount to park your car and even more for theater tickets because you will be thoroughly entertained at the Santa Paula Theater Center.

The productions and staff are great. Live theater is usually solid, but the people part of this house and production is always good. Tons of great reviews from the people and a fun night out. Well done!

sweet historic theater. Main stage productions are very high quality and they do lots of classic pieces. Most shows are good for a wide range of ages. I just saw Leading Ladies and that show was hilarious! They also have a backstage space that produces more edgy stuff that I have enjoyed. The plays there seem to be for a more mature audience, but are still worth seeing. This place is well worth a trip to Santa Paula

Such a great place to watch theater. The cast is amazing and fun. The price is right for a few hours of entertainment that you’ll enjoy. I’ve seen many shows here and I’ve never been disappointed.
