I consign clothes here and the owner Nicholisa and another employee, Dorothy, are so friendly every time I come in. I also consign at a few other places, but Threads seems to sell the most clothes consistently! They also have a great, wide selection of high-end items if you are looking to shop here as well.

Ooh La La I love this consignment shop, a wonderful stylish designer hideaway amidst Montana Avenue. Nicholisa has impeccable taste and the shop is always full of the most beautiful designer clothes and accessories. Her prices are fair for top notch designers finds. Friendly, accommodating, I always score an amazing find. Just bought the most beautiful Italian handmade Alberto Fasciani boots! I’d say it is the best curated consignment shop in LA.

This wonderful quant store is nestled next door to a great bakery on the crossroads of Montana and 17th… It is well worth a visit as it has a wonderful selection of interesting and fashionable clothing including many vintage pieces. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You never know what you will find and the prices are very reasonable compared to what you would pay as new. They offer many great designer and other pieces that are most affordable. Well worth a look!

I really liked the idea of working with Threads on 17th because it’s a sweet nice store and the sisters(owners) seemed very nice. I brought them a lot of clothes and shoes. Two months later a cheque arrived in my name(spelled wrong) about sold items that I’ve never even possessed. Still I was happy to stop by, return the cheque, drop more clothes of… Then they had issues with their computer and couldn’t access their files. ok. not great, but that also happens. BUT, every time I walked by to see if there were any news it was always not the person in store’s responsibility. I left my name & number many times and no one ever called. I emailed and they responded they were going to call me back the next day(that was last week)… I know they have sold at least 8 of my pieces. They still have about 15 more that I kindly asked to get back. That leaves me with no money for my sales AND they still have my clothes. Never happened to me at Great Labels — the staff there is super professional. Maybe you want to try go there. Maybe Threads on 17th is a great place for shopping, but don’t trust them with your clothes.

Threads is a good spot. They have a smaller inventory than some of the other shops in the area but it’s very well chosen, so it is much more enjoyable to browse, and for me it has just as much good stuff as the other places with larger inventory. The prices are quite fair — for example, a bag I was considering there was about 15% of its original retail price with no sign of wear. The people there are nice and the vibe is mellow. This is definitely a place that will be on my route when I am doing the consignment shops in Santa Monica.

Threads is the best consignment boutique around! Nicholisa and her sister Rebecca have great energy, really friendly, and they are very fair in their prices. No snobby attitudes, a very relaxed and enjoyable shopping experience. As the other review said, stop by Sweet Lady Jane, grab a coffee and have some fun at Threads :).

Love, love, love this boutique! It is a gem of a store and, Nicholisa, the owner is super friendly and makes the shopping experience a pleasure! The location is great because you can walk on Montana, get a coffee and pastry next door at Sweet Lady Jane, and then shop at Threads! It’s the perfect way to spend an afternoon with girlfriends. Check it out!
