Love it! Busy on weekends. Chill during the evening.

This place is beyond beautiful. The vibe was relaxed with lots of fun and friendly good looking people(ages from 21 to 30). It was so easy to talk to any one and the many rooms made it feel as though you were visiting different bars. Pretty awesome, right? You’ll have loads of fun here on any given night! I was all smiles the entire night and everyone else seemed the same way. Thank you, Bungalow!

Cool spot. Very preppy. Awesome location. Very laidback vibe. Drinks are pricey. Crowd is good looking. Ping pong table, and pool tables inside the house. It’s like being at a backyard party — minus the keg stands.

Bungalow is such a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy the excellent drinks. The atmosphere is pretty cozy and laid back and the service is good. Will definitely go back.

Some friends and I tried to come here several years ago, but after waiting in line for over an hour with no movement, we gave up and went over to Ma’kai instead. I came back recently in hopes that the hype died down, but it was the same as I remember! The line was still long, but actually moved(slowly) this time and we were in. The Bungalow is a huge space and feels like a ton of different bars/lounges put together, each with a completely different look and feel. You feel like you’re bar hopping, but in the same space. And it’s also beautiful. Outdoor bungalows with trees, string lights, and taking full advantage of the prime across-from-the-beach location. The various indoor spaces have sofas, eclectic décor, and a funky, bohemian vibe. Overall, although the space is beautiful, this place feels like a gigantic frat party for those who have just recently outgrown frat parties. It’s a mostly Caucasian, mid-twenties crowd. Drinks weren’t as pricey as I assumed they would be, but it was incredibly crowded and difficult to move around in, restrooms were sparse and with long lines. I’m glad I got the chance to check this place out, but would probably only go back on a weeknight because of the hassle. I’m sure it’s lovely during the daytime.

TIP: It is incumbent that you come prior to 9pm on weekends, this is because of the extremely long lines. Beautiful location — literally right next to the beach! To parallel the beautiful aesthetics of The Bungalow, the people here are generally on the better looking side of the spectrum, creating for a very«la» type visionary. One of the guys in our group was approached by a recruiter for«The Bachelorette» to be on the show. Kind of goes to show that this is a known treasure trove for attractive people Drinks — Ordered two La waters, the bartender substituted Blue Curaçao for cola and it tasted fine. Total: $ 30 +tip

Beautiful bar right along the shore of Santa Monica! My friend had a birthday here and I loved it. It’s like a beach house that’s connected to a green house with plants. I came on a Saturday for the day bar and it was crowded and long lines out the door. Thankfully my friend had a table and we didn’t have to wait in line. We had a perfect table in the center of the greenhouse that faced the beach! The service was good. They came by constantly and picked up after is and refilled our glasses at the table. My one complaint is how disgusting the bathrooms are. The women’s bathroom floor was flooded and toilet paper everywhere. There was also broken glass all over the floor. Also the some of bathrooms are unisex which is gross because boys don’t know how to aim.

Okay so I came here for the first time last week and I really like this place. You have to remember that you’re in Santa Monica at a boujie bar/lounge, so the drinks are going to be a little pricey. Also, the night that we went was a little less crowded than normal nights, so that probably contributed to a more positive experience than others. We basically took over the pool room so we made our own space. The best part of Bungalow is that there are waitresses that come around asking if you need anything. You can not move the entire night and have drinks brought to you. It’s pretty freaking awesome. We arrived a little early so there was no line, but there definitely was one when we left, so keep that in mind when coming here.

I love this place!!! The Bungalow is pretty much a big fancy college house party minus the ratchet and the griminess. The outdoor area is pretty much split into two – the front area with the ping pong table and then the back area with couches to chill. The inside of the«house» is also very cool because each section has a different theme to it – one has a pool table, another has book shelves, and another with couches and chairs. Kind of like«pick your room and hang with your clique» type thing. There are a few bars located in various areas both inside and outside – regardless you should be prepared to wait a while to get to the bartender because this place is PACKED and everyone is trying to get drinks. The prices of the drinks here are a little pricey but still fairly reasonable(around $ 12 – 15 for sangria/cocktails). This place would be great to just hangout with friends and to meet new people, because everyone is so relaxed and it’s gonna be a good time! Come early though(10:30 or before), because this place gets packed super early on and waiting in line sucks.

Remember when Beevis would say, «I am Cornholio, have you seen my BUNGHOLE?» Well you’ve found it! Welcome to the Bunghole were everyone is on Tinder and sippin $ 30 shots of vodka at the same time instead of actually talking to people. Everyone is shameless in the Bunghole and they will allow just about anyone to enter. All the bungholes wait hours to enter mamma bunghole only to find someone to bunghole them! You’ll feel like a giant bunghole the next morning too!

This review is only for New Years Eve at the Bungalow I want to start by saying that I do frequent Bungalow all the time. I never have any complaints so I was really disappointed with the New Years Eve Party. –The ticket was 180 $ with tax which is whatever because most places were the same. –However, the ticket said«Premium drinks and Hors D’oeuvres» so I had a light dinner expecting to eat more when I got there. –The drinks were great but when I asked about food I was told I could only purchase caviar or a cheese plate and that the food was only for tables. –The cheese plate was 54 $ and when I spoke to a manager about how misleading the ticket was he laughed at me and said«It didn’t say free food» Basically he was a total dick and the staff looked down on you if you didn’t have a table. If I had known that I needed a table to eat I would have A) Gotten a bigger dinner before hand or B) Bought a table beforehand. I know this sounds like a lot of complaining over food but I’m not fond of drinking on an empty stomach nor am I fond of being looked down upon. Overall the drinks are good but it’s nothing special and I was thoroughly disappointed with how the staff, especially the managerial staff behaved themselves. I honestly don’t want to go back any time soon because it left such a bad taste in my mouth.

This place gets surprisingly packed, but it is definitely a good place to get some drinks and socialize. Since it gets so packed, you can rarely find a place to sit down. This feels more like a bar than anything because in some areas, you’re almost shoulder to shoulder with people, kind of like how it is at a club, except half the area is outdoors. It’s walkable distance from the beach, so you walk there to sober up if you decide to. Drinks are average bar prices,

Came here for a company happy hour and had a blast but probably because it was all free. If i had to pay for these dishes with my own money I would probably have a different rating. The waitstaff here was very nice and accommodating for our request. The service at the bar was very fast which I cannot say for the kitchen. If you order food expect a wait to get your food because they are SLOW. The vibe here is really chill and I like the setting here is really nice. We had most of the food on the menu during happy hour and these are the things I like: chips and guac tuna and salmon poke burrata flatbread Fish tacos Decent: carnivore flat bread Taco trio Would skip: hamburger — by far the worst thing on the menu. It was too try and overshadowed by everything else.

I was introduced by my good friend Ernesto. I believe the first time I went it was on a Sunday during the day. Honestly I didn’t think that it would be so crowded as it was. I guess my friend there is a regular because seemed to know a lot of people. I was introduced and everyone was really nice. I love there selection of music. They have house to hip hop. Depending on where you want to be indoor/outdoors are both great. Its pretty much a huge house. In one room they have a couple chairs, but I like to think of it as the book room. Then they have the pool table room. Next, is the huge living room with a couch and chimney oh and huge bar. Then they have another room where I’d like to think of it the dance floor room. Bartenders are helpful drinks are amazing and I love the vibe. Thank you Bungalow, I always have a great time.

How do I describe the Bungalow? I’m California born and raised and now live in New York. One thing I noticed when I popped back to the Bungalow during a quick LA visit was… this is such an LA scene. After spending the past couple months in my life only in business clothes, I forgot that crop tops are okay to wear in public. My friend and I went on a Sunday afternoon to catch up over drinks beachside because you know, we’re Californian. What were we wearing? Tank, shorts, simple dress, rainbows Everyone else: heels, fancy rompers, or something straight off an Abbott-Kinney boutique mannequin. It’s a typical Southern CA spot — beautiful people and views. It’s all about the being beautiful in a beautiful place vibe. The drinks are average, cheaper than NYC places but right around the average price point for LA. Nothing stand out about the cocktails. Sticking to your typical well drink is the way to go here. Tips: come during the daytime so you can see the gorgeous view. If you can, reserve a spot because finding good standing room can be annoying.

This is day-drinking at its finest. The view of the beach, especially if you’re still here drinking as the sun is setting, is picturesque. Pull out them phones and start instasnapping. I didn’t find the place expensive at all. $ 26 for parking wasn’t bad for the convenience of having your car right there. Nice crowd, lots of pretty girls, some fashionable guys and a lot of drunk fun. Definitely somewhere you want to go on a Saturday or Sunday if you’re looking to day drink. Doubt I would come here at night. Just doesn’t have that kind of vibe for me, but overall it is A-OK in my book. 3.5 stars.

The Bungalow is pretty much one big house party at the beach. I came here on a random weekday with no line. Everyone was still in their work clothes(including me) so it was more sophisticated than what I’m used to. The crowd is slightly older than I am which is awesome because everyone was pretty much just there to relax. You are literally inside what feels like someone’s house so there’s a living room with couches and a backyard with really nice décor and patio seating everywhere. Extra points goes to the live band. There are two bars, one inside and one outside which were both fairly easy to get drinks at. Then again, I could imagine it gets really packed on the weekends. Also, the bathroom is extremely tiny and has two stalls inside so girls will pack themselves in there in groups of 4’s making it very uncomfortable. Designated smoking area is in the front near the entrance, although I wish they let you smoke anywhere on the patio since you’re already outside. People are always moving around so you’re bound to find a space to sit at to accommodate your whole party at some point in the night. It’s definitely a cool place to come if you just want to chill and have a few drinks.

So. Amazing I was there for a short time because I was travelling and had a full agenda. This place is so cool! I love how the courtyard is decorated. I can’t really comment on the food because I didn’t get any. The beer and cocktails were pretty good! Also had some interesting conversations there with the locals. Good place to check out!

I’ve been wanting to try the Bungalow for YEARS! But I just never got the chance to. However, I was really disappointed with my experience. I wish I would have known there was no dancing before standing in the long line to get in. We got in line around 11 and it took about 30 mins(wasn’t super bad I guess) but we were almost in the door and one of my friends said there was no dancing. Strike 1. I was like ummmm! But at this point I just wanted to go in to say I’ve been to the Bungalow. When I first walked in, it just seemed like a huge house party to me. People were chilling, playing games, drinking, mingling. My go to drink when I’m out with my girls in an AMF(adiós mother fucker) the bartender said they don’t make those drinks there and also don’t have beers, my friend wanted one. Strike 2. He then made us a Long Island with pineapple juice claiming it’s the shit. Negative. It was sooo sweet I forcefully finished mine cus I don’t waste alcohol. We then walked around, stood around, had lame guys approach us, and eventually got bored. Strike 3. One should never, I mean never get bored when they are drinking and trying to turn up! The vibe is super super chill which is fine if you just wanna lounge around or are on a date night, but if you wanna get cray with your girls, this is not the place to do so. I highly recommend they make a dancing room. They have enough rooms in that place! I don’t think I’d be back unless I just want a chill night or with a guy I wanna lounge with. I am happy that I can finally say I hit this place up though, so yay

This is an LA bar at its stereotyical, shallow, beautimous finest. It’s the ideal place to take an out of town guest. It’s California posh, yet«laid back» in a glamorous way with ocean views and the cool sea breeze. The crowd here is generally chic, young-ish(twenties and thirties), and on the attractive side. It feels very romanticized«LA» for sure. I really enjoy the atmosphere, and if it wasn’t for the huge crowds and long lines, I would come here much more often. The spacious patio overlooks Santa Monica beach, with a distant view of the pier, and has many quaint garden tables and couches, perfect for small to medium groups. They even have a ping pong table. I love the indoor area which has a completely different vibe… one room feels like a vacation beach house, while another with a blazing fireplace and leather couches feels like a winter cabin. I love that the Bungalow offers such varied scenes, it really has something to satisfy most moods from the relaxed to ratchet scale. The music selection is fun and unlike most bars in the area, it’s not overwhelmingly loud. It’s happenin’ but still conversation friendly. Arrive early if you have any hopes of getting in, let alone securing a table or bench. The line usually starts to form at around 8:30PM on Saturday night. No cover. Valet parking for something like $ 20, up to $ 40 max. Park at the mall or a private lot if your feet can withstand the walk.
