SaMo Wine Party

So I went to the SaMo Wine Party at the Monsoon Café in Santa Monica and I had a great time! The crowd was mostly 20 somethings to late 30’s and everyone was pretty friendly.
They offer a set menu for food which included a few types of sushi rolls, sashimi, and cheese plates– all «ok’ tasting. They add tax and gratuity to your bill and there are no servers so you have to order at the bar and carry your food back to your table. I guess this makes sense because there are more people than tables so it would be kind of pointless to have waiters. With that being said, arrive early if you want to snag a place to sit.
The music started out strong (oldies, hip-​hop, top 100) and ended poorly but was tolerable (house music, people I’ve never heard of, etc).
Overall, we had a great time and stayed for the entire three hours. I recommend this event for anyone looking for a chill time!
