I found Marnie through Unilocal.Felt like I needed a change from the stylist I’d been going to for years to get a fresh new look. Marnie’s Unilocal reviews were so glowing and prices so reasonable I decided to give it a shot. While she was very sweet, the hair cut was not very good. I have extremely thick hair so layering is tricky and blending is key. After my cut it looked like I had 2 different hair cuts (one long, one short vs having layers). The problem was the layers were cut to deep while my hair was wet so they couldn’t be blended properly once dry. This is why I always get dry cuts. This was a couple of years ago, so she may have gotten more practice with this, but thought I would share for others with thick hair.

Marnie –I need you to come back to Leucadia! Since you have gone I have had nothing but a series of bad color and even worse hair cuts… please tell me who to see down here!!! Do you ever come down this way? I miss you!!!

Not only does Marnie do one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had, she is completely down to earth and sweet. She’s good at what she does, without the attitude. Totally sweet and respectful of what we asked for.

Marnie is the only person I’ll let touch my hair!
I’m not a picky person, by any means. My hair grows fast, and I’m extremely easy-​going. However, Marnie ALWAYS does such an incredible job, and I feel beautiful for months after I leave the salon (I only get my hair done 2 – 3 times a year!).
Marnie really does have incredible workmanship; her color, highlights and cuts are always perfect! I never walk out feeling disappointed or even so-​so about my hair. I always walk out extremely happy about what she does!
On top of that, Marnie is an incredible person to spend a few hours with! She is always so warm and welcoming, and a great listener. She is genuine, personable, and hilarious! I always feel uplifted when I leave her chair.
To finish it off, she has extremely competitive prices (I think she doesn’t charge enough for the incredible results that you’ll get).
I just don’t see why you would go to anyone else? I would recommend Marnie to my mom, sister, grandma, and all of my friends, and I do! I trust her work, and am extremely thankful that I was able to find such an amazing stylist!

Read all the reviews, including the negative one, and decided that person must have had a bad day and all of Marnie’s other reviews were the norm. My assumption was right.
Marnie is very warm, personable and professional. The haircut I received was great, the warm towel over my face was a nice touch and I am grateful she let my Labrador sit next to me while I got my cut. One more thing, she gave me a new client discount. I will be a regular client of Marnie’s and figure she must have a loyal following as it does take two weeks to book an appointment unless there is a cancellation.

I thought Marnie did a great job coloring my hair. I would recommend her to anyone. Her prices are great. She is really nice and cute.

To echo all the other Unilocalers, Marni is AWESOME! Thanks to all her great reviews, I found Marni when searching for a new stylist.
I had been going to a salon downtown, which I liked, but living in Encinitas, it was quite a commute. I also tried a few salons up in North County and was pleased with my cut and color, but astounded at the high, high prices.
Then I found Marni! She is professional, easy to talk to and knows her way around a head of hair. I took a risk and asked her to cut bangs, which I’ve never had before, and they were perfect! The color was perfect too. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my cut and color and have recommended Marni to many people. Even my dental hygenist wanted her number!
Marni works in a cute cottage turned salon in Leucadia and her services and prices are fantastic! If you are considering trying her services, stop considering and call her. You’ll be happy you did!

After reading the wonderful Unilocal reviews, I decided to see Marnie. Suffice it to say that I will be returning!

I got my haircut here recently at the Orange Blossom Salon. Marnie is terrific! She trimmed the ends of my hair w/​o cutting off too any inches and layered it just right. I have really thick, volume-​filled hair but Marnie was such a pro! My side bangs fall perfectly on my face
I’ll definitely come back for a hair cut. Marnie is so sweet and nice, very personable and friendly. Easy to talk to an comfortable environment. :)

1. Marnie is a total pro … I showed her a picture of the hairstyle I tried to achieve and she cut it just like it!
2. The salon is cute and neat
3. Love the shampoo and scalp massage

I just moved back to the area and couldn’t get a good cut anywhere. Found Marnie on Unilocal and gotta give it up to her, she is awesome at her craft. She’s very personable and takes her time to make sure your happy with your haircut.

Marnie is the best and most attentive hair dresser I’ve ever had. She’s a perfectionist who really takes the time to understand what you want and doesn’t rush it. I’m usually affraid of my hair being cut too short when I go to the hairdresser but Marnie will take off a little at a time because she says, «you can always take off more, you can’t put it back.» She also give the BEST shampoo/​head massages ever! She’s super cool, always happy, and such a sweetheart. I always leave the salon with a huge smile on my face. I usually just call her direct work number to set up appointments, 858−926−6816. The salon where she works is called Orange Blossom and is a very well kept place in a great location on Vulcan just south of Leucadia Blvd.

I desperately needed a haircut, and decided to try Marnie after reading her one review.
Though she may not have an appointment that same day or week that you call, she is a master of her craft and I am so pleased with the way she cut my hair.
She does excellent work for reasonable prices, the salon she shares is clean and cute and she is super friendly!

I’ve been going to Marnie for over a year. She is super friendly & I always leave loving my haircut! She does partial highlights for me, which she takes a lot of care doing to make sure it ends up exactly how I want it.
I would thoroughly recommend Marnie to anyone looking for a very competent hair stylist. As an added bonus, she works weeknight evenings and and her prices are great.
