If you want a luxury meal served in a aesthetically pleasing way at a tastefully decorated Italian-style place, come to Kafe K. The salmon bagel and cream cheese was probably the best bagel dish I have ever had and very healthy, easily rivaling if not very close to topping Los Bagels in Humboldt. The salmon was extremely fresh and the cream cheese with the bagel: superb. A great place to have breakfast or lunch if your having a day at the beach.

Simple but tasty food. I had a sandwich for lunch with mortadella, mozzarella and a nice pesto sauce. I think I’ll come back often for something quick and easy

Cute café on Main Street. Delicious turkey and Brie panini with apples served with a small green salad. Outdoor seating is pleasant on a nice day. Took longer than expected to receive our meal.

Cozy little place on Main thats reasonably priced & healthy. Don’t expect amazing food, but big portions priced right. I like the lady who I guess runs the place, she’s a hard working local that I like to support. If you’re not picky its very welcoming ambiance, especially if $ 6 custom coffee drinks seems a bit too gentrified & you’re okay with $ 2 bitter coffee, just add sugar ;)

Cute and quaint European café with absolutely wonderful coffee and espresso. They also have wonderful open-faced sandwiches and food items. Staff is wonderful, I just wish I lived closer. Great ambiance, such a great place to get a coffee and then stroll down to the beach!

I love their soy lattes! Super thick foam. And they serve a simple yet DELICIOUS oatmeal bowl for breakfast. Indoor and outdoor seats, tv with soccer, usually. Quiet. Good to study/work or enjoy time with a friend.

We got breakfast to go from Kafe K so we could eat on the beach. My feta and spinach quiche was too salty and a bit tough. The salad that came with it was good. Their acai bowl was OK, a little too sweet. My favorite thing was a little cone shaped treat that had cacao nibs in it. It was a great healthy treat!

This was our first time to Kafe K and it was perfect ! We were looking for somewhere to get an acai bowl and I’m so happy this place popped up ! The place is quite small but that’s not a problem. The staff was super courteous and helpful. We got the smoked salmon bagel with capers and side salad and the pitaya dragonfruit bowl. I also got a strawberry pineapple and banana smoothie — it was the freshest smootie I’ve had, perfectly balanced. My boyfriend had the pitaya bowl with dragonfruit and it was great and refreshing ! We asked for some extra granola and they obliged and gave us a bowl of extra granola for free. I would definitely recommend Kafe k to anybody. Good for a meal as well as just a snack or something light. A little pricey but you’re paying for quality and I’m ohkay with that !

Five stars for the open sandwich! Perfect for a light but flavorful lunch and what I thought was the perfect combination of delicious imported mortadella, mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, avocado, and pesto sauce! However the acai bowl was more liquidy/less frozen and had less fruit than I’m used to. Also the granola is on the bottom making it more soggy than crunchy, which is also what I prefer, but to each his own! Latte was on the strong/bitter side. Still, would come again for the great open sandwich.

This is more like 3.5. Came for breakfast and had the poached eggs with pesto on toast. Eggs were perfectly cooked and the veggies were nice. I also had a pomegranate juice and I downed that in seconds because it was so good. This is a great place if you are in the area, but I probably wouldn’t seek it out for a brunch outing because the menu is very limited and there isn’t much seating. Nice little coffee shop/café though.

This review is primarily for the acai bowl I ordered. Came in early morning(before 9am) on Monday when it wasn’t too busy. My ordered was completed fairly quickly and the atmosphere /ambience was nice and clean. I had been trying acai bowls at a few other cafes in Venice /Santa Monica area and I found this place to provide the most authentic acai bowl of all. The other places I tried include Flake and the Fruit Gallery. What makes the acai bowl better than others: 1) the acai is blended right there. The other places I had tried just had scoops of frozen acai 2) because it’s blended the acai feels less frozen and more smoothie like 3) berries are not extra charge and they were all fresh and sweet 4) they use bee pollen, which is tasty and gives the bowl a nice look 5) the oats are at the bottom of the bowl which mixes in well with the juicy acai making it more oatmeal like in texture which I enjoyed 6) good size portion, can serve as complete meal 7) all of this for less than $ 9 Definitely come here for some fresh delicious acai bowls. Keep up the good work Kafe K!

What a cute café. It’s small but the outdoor seating with the view of Main Street is just a treat. If your phone or laptop is running low on battery, their table have outlets just for that problem. Their Acai bowl is loaded with granola to fill you up and leave you full for hours. When I’m around the area, I love stopping by to get a cup of coffee or get the acai bowl or both.

Holy crap. I’m a few bites in and instantly needed to start my review. Location: close to the beach and Santa Monica pier. sadly you can’t see the water, but this is WORTHIT. I got the gluten free quiche which today had turkey and red pepper and love in it. So delightful! Get the mixed green salad, there’s a scrumptious balsamic dressing on it and aged cheese. Also purchased the green smoothie. Heaven! This place is fabulous and has an adorable vibe and lovely owner. Yum yum yum!

What I like: Quick breakfast on the weekend. NOLINE. Order it, sit down, eat it, no nonsense. Leave. I appreciate the efficiency. The avocado mint smoothie was delicious… Currently I’m on the hunt for the best lox bagel in the city. The smoked salmon was FRESH and not super salty like it’s been in the salt bath too long… to be kept fresh if you know what I mean. The acai bowl also had great flavor, deep magenta purple = fresh? It was delicious. Yes it has granola, at the bottom. I’m definitely going back here just because the food is simple, fresh and I don’t have to wait in lines for a table.

Yellow, black, silver, geometric designs, and windows jumped out at me when I entered. Down-tempo contemporary electronic music layered with latino vocals played, mixed with underground samba and trip hop. Two focused men worked behind the bar. I noticed the café was small, like many of the cafes on Main St. in Santa Monica. However, this café gives you the ability to tinker with your seating arrangements, Ikea style. Kafe K was a hybrid of a sit-down breakfast-lunch café, and a coffee joint, which was the perfect power combo that I was seeking on a Wednesday 10 a.m. morning in Santa Monica with nothing to do, but get a late start on breakfast and get caffeinated. Getting here was random, as I’d originally driven down Main St. in search of 212 Pier, a café that claimed to be open 24 hours on its website. However, when I drove over there this morning, it was closed. There was also a very bare-footed man standing in front of it, looking confused. We shared in confusion before I drove to another café on Main St. Near this 24/hr closed café was a Coffee Bean, which was small, cramped, and blaring with commercial music so loud and barbaric, that I couldn’t even distinguish what genre it was. I also wandered into a vegan café, where I walked in, was greeted by a lady, and then cruelly ignored. But, once at Kafe K, the universe aligned. Once at Kafe K, I ordered a poached eggs meal, and a large mocha, all for about $ 15, then found a nook of a booth in the corner of the café, where traffic passed the windows to my left. My food and drink were presented very well, as well as tasting excellent.

Stopped in Kafe K to grab a Salmon Wrap, salad, and green tea for lunch. The salmon wrap was really delicious. And the side salad had a wonderful parmesan on it. The staff at the counter were very nice and helpful. There is a bathroom — but they give you a key — and you have to go over to the laundry room of the building that they are in. I thought it was kind of funny. It was right there, but I got a little lost coming back. I sat at one of the tables right on the sidewalk to have my lunch. Watched all the people stroll passed.
