As if Santa Monica Airport was a local it would be rolling in its grave. How did a once vibrant art scene in Santa Monica get over runner with a mass gallery phenomenon like Bergamont station? I went to the last show, won’t name names, but what a mess. I can’t support run of the mill art school graffiti and art school attitude. Funny when galleries like this find a slice of art world cliché and run with it, I’ve read the reviews and I’ve followed this gallery for years, more like Walmart for the new money.

Edward del Rosario’s personal paintings are good. I get excited in this space when work by Evah Fan or Marcel Dzama is on the wall. If you want to buy an ink drawing by Daniel Clowes, go here. The current show is Masahiko Kuwahara’s, but I don’t like her runny oil sketches. This gallery also represents artists such as Brendan Monroe and Rachell Sumpter.
