What a bad experience. Saving $ 5 is not worth being treated like a jerk. It’s really hard to understand why the sales guy (who seemed like the owner) would insult us from the second we walked in. I guess some people just have bad personalities– but maybe you could hire a friendly associate?
I would not recommend this place to anyone. Deals are not that good, no returns, and you feel like you are a bother when you are purchasing things.

This place it great. I’ve been coming here for years and every time I go I am more and more pleased. The salesman is always nice and helpful. I went in looking for a snowboard and walked out with a perfect set up. Although they did not set my board up for me the showed me how to do it, which was very helpful because I have been able to adjust my board several times now. The owner of the store was also there and he was very helpful. I believe his name is Mike and he is very knowledgeable about all the snowboards, boots, bindings, and clothing. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my snowboard gear. They provide a personal experience as well as a friendly atmosphere.

For snowbunnies, boarders and skiers in the Downtown area, this could be a Godsend… however I was put-​off by the sales associate snotty demeanor. He wasn’t very helpful and rather condesending at times, as if we should know better about selecting boards and goggles. If you know what you want and are educated about the price, brand and style, then this place might be worth a try. If you’re new to snow sports and want a little more hand-​holding and a friendly attitude, you’re better off at a big-​box sports store like REI or Sport Chalet.
Also a little odd, you have to walk through a ladies suit shop and up a flight of stairs to get to the snowboard/​ski gear.

Just bought a snowboard, boots & bindings from here, and got the best service. I’d highly recommend going here if you’re looking for discounted Burton gear. I thought about going to the store in Southbay since there was already Unilocal reviews for that one, but the guys that helped me were so helpful and knowledgeable, I’m so glad I checked it out!
