Wow! Gibson is thoughtfully designed, well-​appointed, and in perhaps the most prime block of Santa Monica. I work with apartments for living, so I keep a high standard. Gibson gets a 10⁄10 in my book — if you’re looking for a luxury living experience close to the beach and all that Santa Monica has to offer, you’ve found your building. The staff is great — I have worked closely with Lucy and Michelle, both who offer top notch service, but at the same time treat you like a human, the perfect type of service one could want at their place of residents. Every unit comes with parking here which is a huge plus, Gibson sets the bar high for Santa Monica!

The location is great — very central for an easy walk to everyplace in downtown Santa Monica. I was one of the first residents and have lived here for nearly a year. Even though it’s a new building it’s already showing wear especially in the common areas like the hallway, with badly stained carpets. There were a lot of problems in the first six months, but it has improved, or at least stabilized. Throughout, Michelle has been amazing. She literally keeps things running — when she’s away, nothing gets done. She is a pleasure work with, has high professional standards and works tirelessly to make things happen while adding a personal touch. She cares about the residents and their experience living at the Gibson.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time living at Gibson! The location, first off, can’t be beat. You are walking distance to EVERYTHING, including the ocean. Michelle, the leasing specialist, is spectacular. I moved from Canada and there were a couple hiccups that go along with that. Michelle went above and beyond the call of duty to help me out and make me feel at home. She is a great resource and always on top of things. The units are all new, with nice floors and utilities. The beautiful roof patio with views of Santa Monica is another big perk. Thanks Gibson, living here was a blast!

I’m one of the first residences in this new building.
The first 6th months were rough to say the least.
I’ve decided to edit my original review because huge efforts have been made remedy the issues I originally blogged about.
After I gave them a brutally honest review supported by pictures, the management when above and beyond what I had expected they would.
…So much that I honestly feel that future residents will have a much better experience than I first did.
They’re letting me stay in a beautiful guest suite, w/​$ 250/​day for food and expenses while they’re doing structural repair in my unit.
I have a feeling things are looking much brighter here at the Gibson. I will post new pictures when the work is done.
