Dawn was recommended to me by two friends and when my former stylist left the area I knew it was time to see Dawn. I was ready for a change and had recently decided I wanted to go platinum, which was a big change. I have done highlights, ombré, balayage for years but never an all over color. Given that I wanted to try an all over color I attempted to do it at home, which was a huge mistake! I died my hair, was overall happy, but wanted to take it up a notch, which turned my hair bright yellow, and then died it a third time to try and tone it down. Anyways, I knew I had to see a professional and someone who knew what they were doing. Dawn was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do to correct it. When you go to Dawn you can rest assured knowing that you are in very capable and trustworthy hands!

This review is way overdue! I was bereft when my brilliant stylist of 20 years retired suddenly last year, leaving me in the lurch. I tried a few local salons and found that, not only could nobody replicate his work, but none of the stylists seemed at all interested in listening to what I wanted and/​or how I was accustomed to looking. Alas, I saw Dawn and after the very first visit I looked like myself again, only better! To boot, the salon is comfortable and conveniently located, and without any of the drama you find in the typical LA salon. Dawn is the consummate professional — I get an immediate response when I reach out to book an appointment, and I am NEVER made to sit and wait. Dawn is also sweet and personable and so SMART! I have learned a ton from her, and I always look forward to re-​connecting with her on my visits. PLUS she has done a marvelous job cutting my picky teenage son’s hair as well. You can’t miss with Dawn!

In a word, amazing! Dawn elevated my look to stylish from ordinary. I needed something new and different, and Dawn’s power as a hair cutter, stylist & colorist really delivered. I am so lucky to have found her and that she’s still in my neighborhood! And her personable, friendly manner and high level of professionalism make her a real gem.

Dawn took great care of me and my tresses. She did amazing vibrant color and gave me a cut that is very flattering. I trust her style decisions, her choice of tone and tint and her opinions on trends. And she is super fun to talk with!

Dawn consistently makes me smile. She makes my hair look great and she is a thoughtful, talented stylist. She has a great sense of color and style. I feel confident in her taste. She uses high quality products so my hair is always well cared for. My hair is a bit difficult especially with humid weather. Dawn has given me tips on styling and products to use. I don’t have to waste money on things that don’t work. I feel relaxed and cared for in her studio. Since she works independently, I don’t have to sit in a chaotic, noisy, smelly environment. She has really tried to be flexible with scheduling appointments. She’s easy going and a pleasure to be around.

I can’t say enough good things about Dawn’s work. My hair took a turn for the better as soon as I gave her permission to touch my locks. She is very gifted and continues to educate herself on her craft. I am always amazed at the things she can do. She is always giving me insightful tips on how to do my own hair. I now can do my own creative up do’s and braids!!!
She always gives me best product recommendations because she is in a saloon where she doesn’t have to push the product THEY want her to. She really can use the products that she has found to be the best and not the one’s that make the saloon the most money. We have all been there, we leave the saloon with a bunch of hair products in tow that we go home and use and HATE!
She is fair and honest with her pricing and advice and I always leave her feeling better. If you need a good hair girl on the west side, Dawn’s your girl!
