PAM is no longer is with CJ!!! For all you PAM fans, she’s now at BRUSHBAR1326 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica, CA90403(310−829−5966) if you want follow her to her new location. She’s one of the few manicurist that is not just doing your nails as a routine job. She genuinely makes sure that you get your nails done right and leave happy.

I’ve been here twice, both times for a manicure and eyebrow wax($ 15 total!!!). Enjoyed both visits. I call ahead to make sure it’s not too busy, easily find parking, and am in and out relatively quick. The ladies here are nice and even though they don’t offer the hugest selection of nail polish colors, they do a better job than some other places here in SM. I am a no fuss kinda gal and they don’t shove other services down your throat.

I went to CJ for the first time yesterday and Pam saved me from a disastrous(sp?) acrylic experience. I had been going to another nearby salon(on Wilshire and 15th in Santa Monica) and was very happy until the manicurist left for some weirdly explained reason. Well the person that replaced her as nice as she was, did a horrible job on my fill. I was almost in tears when I left. Can you believe the person asked me to come back the next day so she could fix them… Well the next day Thank Goodness I walked into CJ after an extensive internet search — and I’d noticed in the past the CJ’s seems to have a pretty packed waiting area. I hoped that was a good sign — and it was. In addition, when I walked in and explained my delimma, a patron was having her nails done and she vouched for Pam saying she was wonderful. Well she was right. Pam IS wonderful. I had to wait about a half hour, but I was more than willing to wait for someone who had just been recommended highly. She had to remove the acrylic from all my nails and strart from scratch, but she did it with as little pain as possible(it did hurt a little). She then proceeded to put on an entire new set and they are beautiful — all for $ 25.00. I am very, very pleased. I’ll see how they hold up, but at least my finger tips are almost healed. The other manicurist(NOTPAM) had filed the edges and burned me using the electric file. I have to tell you it was a 2 hour horror story. Pam patched me up as good as new. After my nails were done, I wasn’t rushed out of the chair while my nails were drying. The other women who worked there were friendly. Its located in a strip mall next to 7 – 11 so if you’re looking for Burke Williams this aint it. But if you’re looking for a good manicure, either gel or acrylic at decent prices, this is the place to go. It’s amazing how hungry you’ll get being so close to that donut shop and 7 – 11. :)

The first time I went, I was blown away. The same woman did both my mani and pedi. She spent over an hour and did a superb job. My finger nail polish lasted over a wk. So I told myself this would be my nail place after searching for so long. However the next time I went I was really disappointed. I booked the same girl and once I got there they said its her day off(not what they said over the phone when I called for the appt) It was a big waist of time and money. I spent 46 $ and 45Min for a quick and lousy job. I still had callus on my feet and my polish peeled off the next day. Not sure the place is any different from the cheap nail salons. Maybe I should try it another time with the same girl. its just such a waist of money when it turns out bad.

This place was very good in terms of quickness, precision, and price, but I was not very sure when I walked in. The place looks a wee bit shady upon first walking in, and then the lady made me feel a little insecure by repeating that I was hairy, ok I got it, that’s why I’m here. But it was cheap and she did everything so fast and I have not gotten ingrown hairs which I’m prone to afterward. All in all I think I have found a new place to go!

I went here today for an eyebrow wax($ 8) and had a pleasant experience. I called ahead to make sure they had someone available to assist me. The ladies were very nice and they did a great job. Quick yet thorough and definitely cheap!

Convenient location. Free parking. Very simple, great prices, kind and efficient. Not a great selection of polishes, but otherwise a fine place for a mani and pedi and eyebrow wax.

Nothing fancy but to the point. They did an ok job on my daughter. Very fast and they seem to have a good local following. If you are new in the area or a tourist and need a quick Man/pedi fix.

I have been going to this shop for years and I love it. They are so nice there, especially Pam the owner. They aren’t pushy and their prices are really good too. They are in the same structure as 711, so Slurpees are always an option while I wait for my nails to dry :)

$ 7 for polish removal and buff. Not bad. Nothing special about this place, but they were able to take me without a wait and the location was convenient! Overall a fine place for a manicure.
