My Mother was diagnosed with Stage IV melanoma last year. We saw 2 top Melanoma Specialists in Los Angels and Beverly Hills because we felt the best thing to do for her was to get her into a PD-1 trial. Dr. Bosaberg was the 3rd Melanoma Specialist we saw and he saved her life, her brain and our family a lot of grief. What we did not know, until we saw Dr. Bosaberg, was that the radiologist did not identify 3 brain tumors(brain cancer) in the MRIs that were taken. — When he had me look at the MRI images of her brain on a plasma TV screen I saw the tumors and I didn’t know what I was looking at! If either of the Melanoma Specialists we saw, prior to seeing him, had looked at the images and not just the report they would have seen the cancer. My point here is that Dr. Bosaberg took the time to look at the images while others did not. They relied on a report when Dr. Bosaberg looked at the images himself and had another radiologist look at the images too. All of this happened while we were there for an appointment. In doing this, he saved my Mom and my family a lot of grief. If we had not made or kept this appointment my Mom would have entered a trial with brain cancer(brain mets) and would not be alive today because the melanoma was growing very very fast.(She went from 3 to 9 brain mets in the 30 days between the 1stMRI and gamma knife radiation.) When you are looking for a oncologist you want to find someone like Dr. Bosaberg. He is at the top of his field, kind, compassionate and very thorough. We were lucky to have found him and I can’t say how important it was for us to have seen him. He changed my Mom’s future, which would have been very grim and short if the brain cancer went untreated for any length of time. It’s now been less than a year since we met Dr. Bosaberg and I’m happy to report that my Mom is doing fantastic. She dodged a bullet with the misdiagnosis that Dr. Bosaberg discovered and ended up getting Yervoy/ipi. With Yervoy she basically hit the jackpot and had unbelievable results. They expect her to have a durable long term response and to be around for a very long time. She wouldn’t be here or have this outcome without Dr. Bosaberg, which I could never thank enough for dotting his«i’s» and crossing his«t’s» by double checking the previous results.

Dr. Boasberg is the BEST doctor at the Angeles clinic. He is caring and always goes the extra mile for his patients. Just a wonderful man & doctor. He can relate to his patient and really listen to your concerns. I highly recommend him.
