I love, love, love Amici Brentwood!!! Had dinner with friends and the staff there are top notch. The wait staff treated us like VIP and made great recommendations. Every dish we shared was absolutely yummy. The short rib was my favorite! I can’t wait to go back!

Consistent very good Italian fare. The staff always is welcoming and tries to accommodate last minute reservation requests. A local white linen favorite that has consistently pleases adults and family dining.

Had an alright experience here. Was not pleased with the parking situation. We pulled up twenty min. Before our reservation and parked in one of the fifteen spots open no problem. Once 5:30 rolled around my boyfriend and I got out of the car and started approaching the entrance of the restaurant and a gentleman starts yelling from the other end of the lot asking us where we are heading. We tell him. And he tells us it’s valet parking only. We look around, baffled at this statement Because the lot is completely open. He demands $ 4.50 for the parking job that we did ourself. When we ask for a valet slip he acts like we asked for something so bizarre. Oh well. Food was alright. We shared the calamari appetizer. Pretty large portion but a little chewy. We also ordered one chicken plate and a pasta dish. Both were pretty good. Service was standard. The server seemed a little bummed we didn’t want to drink any wine or order dessert. He stopped being as friendly towards the end of the meal although we kept out«thank you so much» and«wow greats» coming. Overall not a bad experience, but not the best we have had!

We had a fantastic girls night out with incredibly personable and charming waitstaff. The atmosphere was warm and festive and the food was delicious! We shared a bunch of dishes. The beet salad, risotto, and short rib were all stand-outs!

Amici should be called Amushy. Let me explain. We ordered three different pasta dishes: pappardelle alla bolognese, linguine alle vongole and rigatoni alla norma. All three were over cooked, mushy and looked more like a mashed potato than a pasta. The first thing a true Italian restaurant should understand is the very basic concept of «al dente». And I say true Italian, because Amushy tries very hard to be authentic, starting with the usual over the top Italian waiters with their Marcello Mastroianni accent who want us to believe we are in for a local trip to Via Veneto in Rome. Believe Amushy is so far from good Italian cooking, that I rather eat a Domino’s pizza. Just for the record, I am Italian.

Been here once before many years ago and now I know why I haven’t been back. This place is just off. So you come in from a door in the front that is truly on top of a large dining table. you need to go into the back or the bar to get a table. Weird and awkward. We sit down and our Italian waiter, who looks like he wants to be cast as an Italian waiter or bon vivant, greets us. I order an under poured chianti. The busboy puts down 2 tiny pieces of bread and some nice bruschetta toping but the issue is there is hardly any bread to put it on. We ask for more bread and it comes 20 minutes later. We order, Maybe a pizza to start. No, says Mr. Armani as they are out of pizza or the oven is broken. I was never sure of that. Off and weird. OK. Calamari, a pasta dish and some chicken parm. As for some more under poured wine, we finally get the one other piece of bread that is available in Brentwood and as for the food. It was ok. Nothing great. One can do better. Weird wild stuff at this joint.

Easily two stars. Place was terrible. The food was overcooked and my noodles were slimey. The servers were rude and over bearing. The chicken was dried up and the dipping sauce was terrible. I am very disappointed because I HEARD good things about Amici. I heard wrong because this was the worst so called Italian food I ever I had.

Reliable, inviting and simply very good Italian restaurant. When you bow out of the crowd of hyped and clueless but well dressed up LA restaurants, you inevitably end up here where the classics are solid and things are well taken care of. Tomato soup proper, bread fresh, scaloppini just what I wanted, and the service just what I needed. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring my kid, my mom, my wife or a friend to this nice find.

Hands-down the best Italian restaurant on the west side the food is excellent and the service is great what more can I say? The owner personally gets involved to make sure your experience is OK and they use by far the highest quality ingredients that I’ve seen so far for any local Italian restaurant.

Great place to eat, recommend the Branzino and brownie dessert. They serve the brownie with a caramel crunch vanilla ice cream. I love coming here for lunches between work or date nights with my wife. Every time I always leave a little too stuffed feeling happy but sleepy.

WOW– just wow! The food was excellent — highly recommend their Carpaccio to start off and I had their veal parmesan(my favorite) for the main course. Sublime! Dessert was excellent — my friend and I split 2: the apple tart and the riccota-stuffed crêpe with blueberries. It was all absolutely amazing. Their staff is equally impressive, and I can not begin to tell you how much attention they lavished upon us. They are all genuine Italians, and have that quality of seasoned professionals who take a genuine delight in their work. Do yourself a favor and try this place out!

Dinner at Amici in Brentwood was indeed a mixed bag with 3 stars. The space is very nice and inviting. Now to the nitty gritty and the mixed bag. Our order was botched as was the food. The Burrata appetizer was sublime… unfortunately the pasta we ordered the Noma(eggplant and goat cheese) morphed into a pappardelle with beef ragu that she claimed was ours lol. The roasted Jidori Chicken was not only bland but cardboard box dry… when I called our waitress to explain the problems she offered me a lemon to squeeze on the chicken along with salt and pepper should we desire. I was flabbergasted to have such an inept clueless waitress in such a nice restaurant in Brentwood? Fortunately the GM was nearby acting as host expeditor and overall savior, he overheard and jumped in with ninja like precision. He immediately cleaned the table and brought us our intended pasta and the roasted chicken as a replacement. He was great and saved the night. Our waitress disappeared only to return seeking a tip… The GM was a 5star godsend and a seasoned restaurateur. The Burrata was spot on. The Eggplant pasta very good and the roasted chicken moist flavorful and good yet albeit basic. The waitress clueless and the other elements of the meal not so good thus the mixed bag… We will try it again as we live in the area but with a keen eye on what to order and god help us if the GM is on vacation… fortunately our Mario Andretti driver training allowed us to make our movie on time because of the delays and skipping dessert…

Uninspired. The pasta is okay, but I can go to the Olive Garden and pay a lot less for it. All the Entrees were overpriced for the quality and the«wild» salmon we ordered did not look or taste wild. There are excellent Italian restaurants in this price range(Bestia, Angelini, Bucato) that are far superior and Chef driven. Don’t waste your time or money!

It’s hard to reconcile the bad reviews with our experience tonight. Yes, the prices are high. But anyone who knows the locale realizes that rents are astronomical and that every resident within a 1.5 mile radius is a millionaire. If you want a bargain, get outa Brentwood. I love pasta bolognese so that’s my restaurant comparo item. Amici’s easily beats the 4 other high end Italian restaurants in Palisades and Brentwood. The beef(not hamburger) is high quality, tender, and tasty. Wife ate lemon & capers chicken with spinach. Everything on that plate was perfect. The diced tomatoes are a nice free appetizer but they should pay closer attention to the ripeness and taste of the tomatoes used. Ours was stiff and tasteless. The humus was good. Bread basket was just OK, not fresh & hot. Good wine list but don’t bother with their crazy overpriced($ 18 – 30) super premium glass wines unless you’re a true sommelier. The $ 12 house wine is still overpriced but excellent. Service by Francesco was quick, efficient, friendly and faultless. Manager stopped by for a brief happiness check. Italian food fans should support places like this or the best we’ll get will be Buca di Beppo. We intend to be regulars.

My fiancé and I had dinner here to celebrate 6 months until our wedding date. It was AMAZING. We were treated wonderfully from the second we walked into the restaurant. The maître d’ immediately recognized our reservation and the information I had included about celebrating 6 months until our upcoming wedding. We were seated in a very intimate corner of the room, right next to the glow of a Christmas tree that they had set up for the holidays. The maître d’ returned to our table soon after seating us with 2 complimentary glasses of prosecco. The waiter was fabulous, never rushed us and offered sensible recommendations. The food was outstanding, I would go back in a heartbeat. Although we were full after our appetizers and main course and declined dessert, our waiter knew we were celebrating and brought us a dessert to try on the house, along with 2 glasses of port. The thoughtfulness, great ambiance and tasty food are hard to match, let alone beat. We’ll be back for another date night, for sure!

This place was amazing! The food was spectacular! The tasting menu is a must have! Try it out. So worth the $ 40! We went to an Italian restaurant yesterday and dropped a 1K and it didn’t even compare to how good this restaurant was. This is a must for Italian food.

Real Italians, real Italian food. Great ambiance, extremely attentive staff and delicious authentic Italian food. You know it’s good when there are regulars in the corner ordering in Italian. The other Italian restaurants in Brentwood don’t even compare. Good for dates or family dinners. My husband had the caesar salad & chicken parm– massive portion and I ordered a caprese salad & a pasta dish that was not on the menu(but they were happy to make for me). And for all the dairy sensitivities out there that can never order dessert– they have sorbet– and not just the lame fruit flavors, they have chocolate sorbet!

A-OK is about right. The food was nice, but nothing special. I had the fish special which was so bland and really boring. The mushroom soup special was also pretty bland. The portions are really big, but I’d rather smaller portions with better taste.

Very good authentic Italian food at Amici… particularly good for lunch. Warm, inviting atmosphere, conveniently located between Brentwood and SM at corner of 26th and San Vicente. Meal begins with excellent bread and delicious hummus, as well as fresh bruschetta dip, and cookies with chocolate dip are provided on a complimentary basis at the end of your meal. Service is always warm, friendly and helpful. Their salads are excellent, and my favorite dish is their Tagliata(steak salad)…just outstanding! Worth a visit… very good pizzas, pastas and desserts!
