I have been coming to this salon now since about 2005. Having tried stylists from Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Venice, Silver Lake, and Los Feliz with haircuts ranging from $ 20 to $ 150, I have to say, Mandy Bowen is the best this city has to offer. Stylish, intuitive, a natural talent — she is a true hair whisperer. Whenever I leave the salon, I literally have people try to touch my hair (at the market or the shop) and ask me where I get it done. The cuts are always on point and are easily styled on my own between visits. My hair always looks natural and healthy thanks to her pruning and direction. LOVE her and would follow her anywhere.
But glad she’s at Allen Pacheco — talk about feeling spoiled. The salon itself is cool and sophisticated, with a nice vibrant energy brought by an eclectic blend of clientele and stylists. The mini-​massage with shampoo and cucumber water also lend to the spa-​like feel. I always leave having felt a little pampered and a lot relaxed.

This is the first time with Gabbi who did my color and worked hard to get it just right! She’s a perfectionist and shows in her style and work. She gets what you want and knows color!!! very knowledgeable and simply amazing at her craft. I suggest you go to Gabbi to get your color right and let her lead the way. She knows her stuff and is super sweet and cool as well!

Liz Canalis is THE BEST!
Friendly, fast, plays great music and does a perfect job – all essential for a positive waxing experience.
Her facials are also above and beyond. She takes her time to provide the best facial and makes it a full body experience for total relaxation. The products are excellent!
Liz is very skilled and I would recommend her to anyone for a wax or facial. If you are on the west side you should be seeing Liz.

Liz Canalis is the best facialist I’ve ever had. I’ve lived in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, LA, and now San Francisco, and I make it a point to get a facial with Liz whenever I’m passing through LA.
Her skincare products are luxurious — my skin has a glow for a week after. She is very thoughtful about which products to use on which clients.
She also does an incredible face, shoulders, neck, and feet massage while your face is steaming. It’s an amazing bonus treat whenever I get a facial with Liz!
Can’t recommend her enough — definitely get the longest facial possible with her!

Their shampoo person was excellent and taking time to wash my hair.

I love coming here. Mandy McBean Atlas is maybe the best hair stylist on the westside every time I leave her I feel prettier. the salon is great and Mandy is great. book an appointment here you will not be sorry.

The place itself isn’t anything to write home about, but as far as service goes, definitely the Best shampoo I’ve ever experienced (outside of my own shower) Thorough but gentle, and my hair was actually CLEAN and rinsed well. YAY! And Maria Valdez did an excellent blow out. Smooth and she basically knew what she was doing and how to handle my hair. THANKS! Worth the money for sure. Happy.

Pacheco salon is the best on the Westside by far. Ambiance is welcoming, clean and fun. Everyone who works there is talented and up to date with the latest and greatest styles. Stephanie Frank has been my stylist for over 14 years now. She has never let me down and is always available to clean me up when requested. Stephanie takes pride in new techniques in color and cuts so she is able to offer the best styles out there. Treat yourself today to the best. You deserve it.

Liz is fantastic! I followed her here from another salon because she always does a great job. She takes the time to figure out exactly what you need and is not «salesy» at all. She really cares about her clients and wants to give them individual attention. Plus she doesn’t just bail when you’re mask or peel is on, she gives a great shoulder massage so you get extra special treatment :)

Awesome haircuts — super professional place !

Liz Canalis is everything! When it comes to waxing, she’s simply THE BEST. Not only do I love the way I look and feel after seeing Liz, but I enjoy the time I spend with her. Which considering the triple threat of brow, lip, and Brazilian waxing — speaks volumes to how awesome, smart, and considerate she is. Oh… And she plays the best music!!! None of that zen flowing water droplets BS, but Billie Holiday and the like (Of course, you can always request some zen. I’m certain she’ll oblige.). In short, now that I found Liz and her mad esthetician skills, consider me a client for life!
Bonus: The salon itself is clean and gorgeous, and their staff is super friendly. Also, their pricing is perfectly matched to services and atmosphere.

Liz Canalis is above and beyond the best at what she does! I have been waxing my eyebrows since I was 14 and have never had a better experience. After several terrible mistakes in LA (which she is helping to fix!), Liz came highly recommended and she has been my savior helping repair the damage. I trusted her so much that I even went in for a bikini wax. This was only the second one I have ever had as my first one left me crying but I trusted Liz enough to give it another shot. Not only was I shocked at how minimal the pain was, she made me feel completely comfortable through the process. Liz is truly a queen. Knowledgeable, professional and kind. Id give more than 5 stars if I could!

Nancy Spolidoro is THE BEST! Wouldn’t trust my color or my cut to anyone else! She does the most amazing blowdries, which for my fine hair is pretty remarkable. I love how I feel when Nancy is finished with me!
She also cuts my kids’ hair, and they have always been very happy with the result!

I have been seeing Michelle for years. I followed her from her last salon. She is so nice, caring and always listens to exactly what I want. I am always changing my hair color and she never fails to give me what I want. She takes her time and makes sure everything is perfect before I leave. I would HIGHLY recommend her. YOU ROCK MICHELLE!

There are so many salons and stylists, especially in the venice area, that it can be hard to find the perfect place. Michelle is absolutely amazing and definitely has a lifetime client out of me. She provides such an amazing culture and you can tell she really cares. I recommend her to everyone!

What a great business. After my first cut, with stylist Michelle Mulcahy, I was hooked. She does an excellent job, and gave me the best hair cut of my life. I’ve recommended several people to her, and they share the same opinion. Couldn’t be happier with this establishment, and with Michelles service.

I had crazy long hair for several years and Allen kept begging me to cut it. Finally, I felt it was time for a change and I told him to do whatever he thought would look good. I immediately received a ton of compliments and even though it was two years ago, people still talk about what a great transformation I’ve made. Allen is the only one I go to. He’s always in a great mood and really listens to me and what I’m going for with my hair. From the receptionist, to the shampoo person, to Allen himself, this place provides wonderful service and everybody is smiling. Visiting this salon is an experience, not just a haircut.

To sum it up — this is my new salon and Miranda is my new go to pro for color and cut — 100%! So psyched I found this place and Miranda.
You know that brown/​blonde golden silky hair you see on pre teen girls before they learn of highlights and go too blonde? (this is so not intended to be creepy) — thats what I’ve been seeking… actually YEARNING for. I’m mildly obsessed with that color. My natural color is close but it needs some chemical help. From my experience, some stylists can get you close — but they always go a little too blonde (and sometimes a lot). Miranda was on point and produced the EXACT color I wanted, but even shinier than I expected — with cool and golden tones. amaze.
The cut was great too — she took off as little as possible to keep it healthy — which is exactly what I asked for.
The overall salon experience was great as well — from the receptionist, to other stylists, to the assistants.
