Not my favorite place. It’s freezing cold inside. The bathrooms are agh!

Came here for a friend’s birthday get together. It can be hard to find this place unless you’ve been here before. It’s located in a plaza but you have to head towards the back. The loud music will guide you and you’ll eventually see the big 31 sign lit up on the back wall. The place is great as parts of it are outdoors and some parts are indoors. There is an area where there is an outdoor fire pit with couches. However we were kicked off since it was VIP and the people who reserved it had come by 10:30. Oh well. This place is very popular and will get crowded very easily. I did not have a drink at this place but it seemed to have a great selection of alcohol. On the downside, even getting a glass of water took a while because the servers were so busy. Overall, this place is a great lounge to come hang out on a Friday night! Tip: get here by 9:30 and you won’t have any problems getting in AND will beat the crowd.

At first it can be hard to find where 31 Ten Lounge exactly is. From the street all that is noticeable is the address 3110. There’s a coffee shop in sight as well as a smoke shop that is visible. In order to find 31 Ten Lounge, you need to walk all the way towards the back. It’s rather hidden. There I was high heels and all walking into the dark trying to figure out where this lounge was until I spotted a dimly lit restaurant illuminated with string lights and a fire pit. The place is stunning when you first walk in. I was impressed right from the start and absolutely loved the atmosphere. The lounge is huge. There are comfy sofas with pillows everywhere. Beautiful string lights hanging above a green, leafy walls. There’s a big fire pit in the middle of the lounge. It’s very chic, chill and sophisticated. It was a Friday night and met up a friend here. It was nice to see they had a happy hour going on till 8pm. They had great happy hour prices! Well drinks, white wine and red wine were $ 5. Hummus and fries were $ 4-$ 5. The Parmesan Truffle Fries are delicious! They sprinkle a lot of truffle flavor in there. They were served hot and crispy. Food, drinks and atmosphere wise is top notch but there was one thing that I was not a fan of and it’s their restrooms. It’s located all the way in the back and it’s dark and scary. There’s also only one restroom for girls to use and it was dingy and dirty. For such a nice place, it was a little disappointing that their restrooms where not up to par. Overall though 31Ten is a good place to hang out with friends. I loved the overall vibe here!

Extremely disrespectful and unprofessional security, in particular Manuel, or so he said his name was. Always come here, usually a semi fun spot but again and again I’m surprised by the lack of professionalism of security here. As someone who doesn’t drink, taking care of someone who was intoxicated only to be given a hard time by this particular Manuel, who was nothing but rude. Definitely will not return.

Wasn’t super impressed by this place. Friday night, HUGE line to get in. Also, there needs to be way more bathrooms/bathroom stalls for the number of people at this place. Even the guys line had a line of 5+ people. TIP: there is a bathroom outside that will have a lot less people. You will have to go out past where the guy checks your IDs and leave your drinks on a small unattended table while you’re gone… kinda sketch

Lost a lot of respect for 31 Ten. I have been a loyal customer(purchased many of tables on different nights) and I am not pleased with the way this place is ran. I had the unfavorable experience for the third time now of someone in my group having their belongings stolen from this place. I called«Valerie» on Monday(1÷18÷2016) and told her that my friend had her purse, phone, credit cards etc. all stolen from our table. To make things worse, security wouldn’t even let us look for the belongings right before closing.(This isn’t the first time) She omitted to me that theft is becoming more apparent at 31 Ten Lounge. You would think with all the security cameras and omission from Valerie that thefts are becoming more common here, clueless management would actually do something about it. But no… all you get is the«we will let you know if we find anything»(fuc* off response)… This place used to be good, but now it’s a bunch of hooligans and rift raft taking place. God forbid I bring back friends to this spot just so they can have their belonging stolen from shady patrons or employees themselves. Three times is NOT a fluke, it’s shady!

Best place to go in Santa Monica both Friday & Saturday nights. No cover, good music, and good crowd. Get there before 11pm to avoid the long lines. Oh, and look for the French bartender behind the bar that’s outside. She’s super nice and makes the best drinks. Some of the other bartenders put too much juice or sour or whatever.

Nice environment, good crowd, but it gets way too packed. It’s good if you’re already intoxicated but if not it might be a bit overwhelming

I love coming to this place. The vibe is always good and they always have a great dj spinning. Its never a let down when I come here at night. Whats nice is that there are three bars one ½ outside and 1 ½ inside which makes getting a drink easy. The place is really pretty has a great outdoor fire pit with trees all around and inside a fun little lounge area. All the employees are really nice and this is the best place to host a birthday party!

I had the worst experience here in a longgggg time. I will not be returning EVER!!! The bartender was the most rude and dismissive person!!! The music was whatever. I had high hopes that I would enjoy this place because the atmosphere seems nice and the bouncers were nice and there was no cover charge. Unfortunately off the 30 minute wait for a drink and the rude remarks from the bartender, I will not be returning and I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague.

Great service. Attentive staff. Had a blast here. Even though the place was packed — the staff was great at taking care of our group.

A very well run lounge! Very luxurious, felt like a King when I arrived. Very spacious areas to converse and mingle. Open fire length for the cooler nights. Bartenders were on point. Very good drinks are to be had! Located on Main, behind the Cigar Shop on the road.

Alexis was an amazing server. Music is on point. Crowd is causal lounge hip hop at 9:15 on a Friday. I hope it stays hidden. Love it. Food is amazing. Please high five the chef(s) they rock! Only downside is the bathroom is a walk but that is it.

I came here for a friend’s birthday and it’s not a bad spot to go to. No cover, no dress code which is great, and ample street parking. Drinks are averaged $ 10 so not too bad. The venue has lights decorating the exterior with a movable awning so it’s great for summer. There’s a fire pit on the outside in case you wanna get cozy. The inside is very narrow and can be hard to get by when it’s insanely packed. Music was good; hits from then on now.

the bathroom in this place is RIDICULOUS. NOTTHEGOODKINDOFRIDICULOUS. THEHOWCANTHISPLACEONLYHAVE1TOILETINSIDEFOR100DRUNKGIRLSKINDOFRIDICULOUS. do you know how much torture was endured in the 30-minute line for the bathroom? i’ve never seen so many people sober up in 30 minutes due to the sheer torture of bladders stretching to their maximum capacity while waiting for this chamber of horrors. not only that but the place where you have to wait is a tiny, broom-closet-sized room that’s hot, muggy, and filled with drunk smelly people and idiots trying to hit on all the poor girls who just want to pee more than anything else in the entire world. like NO I DONTWANTTOTALKTOYOU I AMTRYINGTOMEDITATEANDPRACTICEDEEPBREATHINGSO I WONTPISSMYPANTS. i think i spent nearly an hour in lines for the bathroom during the 2 hours we were here. hell, next time you get your drink from the bar you should immediately go stand in line for the bathroom because by the time you get to the front of the line you’ll be done with your drink and have to pee anyways. then repeat that cycle 3 times for an especially fun night. after enduring the most evil bathroom line ever built i discovered there’s another bathroom outside the lounge but you have to get your hand stamped to leave the lounge and it’s not very convenient. FAIL. ok bathroom rant is done. otherwise overall this place wasn’t thaaaat bad. was already a lil tipsy by the time we got here so that in itself should inflate my impression. we somehow ended up with a table even though we had no table reservation and didn’t pay for a table. win. then some very nice guys came and bought a bottle for our table(but actually i think it was originally their table, but we somehow stole it). double win. i just don’t understand how, but i also just don’t care. music was pretty good. towards the end of the night they started playing hip hop so it got way better. would i return? this is my second time here so i guess so. i must be a masochist.

The drinks are extremely pricey. 2 drinks for $ 28. This place gets crazy crowded. My friend and I waited in line for about 20 minutes. Be prepared, underage hipsters will stand around to the side of the line and will cut people once they are close to front of the line. They did not cut us, but did cut the people behind me. Once inside, it’s very packed. No room to walk or breath for that matter. If your ideal crowd consists of: creepy guys, smelly tourists, underage hipsters, underage girls desperately seeking to be on Teen Mom, douchebags, douchebags, and douchebags, then this place is just for you. If I wanted to be surrounded by underaged people, I would’ve gone to Dave and Busters or 1Oak.

Came here on a Saturday night for a friend’s birthday celebration. I didn’t have high hopes since it was a headache trying to get in. The line was absurd and everyone didn’t care for the line went straight the the front stairs! Some people just have no regard for orderly intention. Once we got in(thanks to the bday boy talking to the bouncer to get us in), we went to the table where they had bottle service. The space was good since we got bottle service. Otherwise, it seemed cramped every where else. The music was ok. Every so often they played hip hop, and that was the best esp to dance to! This was more upscale than the divey but super fun dance club/bar down the street(Circle). This place is great to be at when you get bottle service, def recommended!

I’ve been here on two occasions now, both for my friends’ going away parties. Why here? Because there’s no entry fee, it’s spacious, and it has a cool vibe to it. Both times, I got there pretty early and avoided long lines. I’m surprised every time I exit the lounge because the lines are ridiculous and it’s not too crowded inside, which means the bouncer does a darn good job of crowd control. Interestingly the first time I was there, I was on the right end of the lounge and the other time, I was on the left side of the lounge. Both have different feels because there is a dance floor(ish) looking area on one end, and the other has loungey chairs/tables and standing space. Bars are on both ends and one actually connects through, so the standalone bar is actually less crowded and quicker. It is here that I had a really cool female bartender who was quick and friendly, and she began to recognize me and get me the same drink when she saw me waiting to order. Cool gal. The crowd. not sure I like it but it definitely has that typical Santa Monica vibe… won’t put it into words but if you know, you know. Definitely worth checking out since the drinks are standard prices(~$ 12 per drink),

One of my favorite places to go to when on Main Street. The main reason I love this place is the size of it and the music! They place great hip hop music and the crowd is fun, too. There are so many rooms to this place, and it has an outdoor feel to it. There are multiple bars, so you’re not waiting too long for a drink. They also have tables that you can reserve, with fireplaces in the center. The line is never really that long(if there’s a line at all), and I have never had to wait. It’s a little more down the street from the bar scene, but the walk is not too far and it’s worth the small walk!

I went to 31 Ten Lounge a couple months back for my friend Esther A.‘s 30th birthday party. It was a fun party, and I liked that we were able to get some lounge space and sit down for a while. I don’t generally have the energy or temperament for clubby Westside scenes, but I had a good time here. We arrived around ten o’clock and the place was busy, but not as busy as it would get a couple hours later. It wasn’t too hard to get a drink, and the staff was pleasant. The décor was nice – the space felt casually upscale – though I found the giant TV screen playing long YouTube make-up tutorials pretty strange, if also somehow entertaining. There were straight-up 30-second ads playing on the wall. I’d probably give 31 Ten four stars if it weren’t for the drinks, which were expensive and kind of heinous. Matt B. and I got cocktails for our first round, and these were some of the worst $ 14 cocktails I’ve ever come across. I had the Santa Ana, which came with El Jimador reposado, pineapple gomme, lime, serrano pepper, and a mint sprig. It sounded promising, but it was off and really hard to drink. Matt had the Trifecta with Bulleit rye, crème de mure, and lemon. Sounded hard to fuck up, but it tasted terrible. We switched to beers for the rest of the night. I had a good time drinking tall cans of Golden Road IPA. Anyway, I doubt I’ll make it back to 31 Ten any time soon, but it’s probably a decent spot to hang out if you’re young and live in Santa Monica. Fun environment, not too crowded, with seating and plenty to drink.
