Great food, experience, and management. If you get a shot, give one to your waiter/waitress/manager! They will take care of you even better.

I had a fantastic meal here visiting with family. Currently living in LA where there’s lots of Korean BBQ joints, I was interested to see how seemingly the only one in Santa Maria compares. It compares quite well! Note that if you get the ribeye, do yourself a favor and cook it reverse-sear style: first bring it up to temperature on the cooler side of the grill then blast it on the hot sides so you end with a sear(thus the name). I will definitely make it a point to come here next time whenever I come home to visit.

This is the best korean BBQ place in central coast. Our favorite restaurant. 5 Stars. Highly recommend.

Sizzling Gogi is one of my personal favorites when it comes down to taking friends and family out somewhere new. I would give it 5 stars, but the only problem I come across every single time I go is whenever I ask for rice paper or anything else, I end up having to ask a second or third time. Besides that though, this place is awesome. I highly recommend coming here if you haven’t been!

I’ve never had KBBQ and neither did my friend so we decided to come and check it out! The meat was really bland and it tasted like it had no seasoning at all. There weren’t a lot of sides, I think like three or four sides, and they didn’t really add to the flavor. And the price. WHAT. I don’t remember exactly but the total was around 50 bucks. For two people. SERIOUSLY. We both cried when we handed out cards. To be honest, it would be two stars but I’m giving an extra star because it’s Santa Maria and there’s nothing else around and this can satisfy someone’s craving for KBBQ.

Sizzling gogi I believe is the only korean bbq in santa maria, or in the area I think. Meat is good and waitresses are lovely and nice! The soju is yummy and yea its all good hahaha, I may add I wish the sides were larger but people I’ve been with dont even touch them? Maybe I’m the only one that digs right in, that being said this is a fun place to chat, hang out, drink and eat. They have large rooms for parties of 5+ A little nice touch is a small wine cellar at view in the wait room, very fancy. I recommend this place for larger groups and double dates etc.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Peter Jun(owner) down at sizzling Gogi for A1 service lastnight! Thank you for allowing us to have the private room lastnight to our group of friends! It’s always a pleasure brotha! Thank you for having us and thank you to Angelica(host) for the excellent service getting us what we needed… People, if you haven’t tried sizzling Gogi yet, I highly recommend it! It’s a place for great company, great food, and a place to take shots and have good conversations while cooking some Korean BBQ! My friends and I come here religiously after payday with 10+ of us and just have a great time! The owner is awesome and the service is great. For it being the only Korean BBQ in the central coast it will always be my favorite because of not only the environment in the restaurant, but because of the top quality meats they have on the menu.

Really good food. Staff and service is better than average. They are good about changing out the grill plate. That is extra nice so you are not cooking over the pervious flavor of meat. My husband took me here for my birthday and we invited two of our good friends. We had. great time and the meat was fresh. We plan on coming back. If I can ask for one thing to add to the menu selection it would be add seafood. I would have enjoyed squid or shrimps.

Tried this place for the first time tonight… and I fell in love. I can’t wait to go back! My favorite meat was the beef brisket. I also liked the tri tip !!! Service was fast and really friendly. Food was so fresh. It’s fun to cook your own food ! This place makes for a great date night. It’s romantic and the atmosphere is amazing. I’ll be craving this place from now until the time I get it again !

This place sucks. You can not get all you can eat if you are by yourself. I didn’t get to try the food, and was discriminated against for being alone. They even stuck me over in the back corner, where there were no other customers. Sorry I’m out of town for work, and don’t have anybody to enjoy dinner with. Sorry I don’t have friends in every city to enjoy dinner with. It’s bad enough that I have to be away from family and friends for the weekend. The highlight of my day while out of town for work is going out for a nice dinner. Thank you for ruining that for me today. I was hoping to have found a nice place to eat in Santa Maria Why not make a price for a single diner to have dinner? The waitress told me that it is because, «it is a lot of food.» Yeah, that’s fine. That is implied in the name«all you can eat.» It’s not like I eat that much anyway, I don’t think I Look like I’m going to eat all of your food. I’m still going to eat the same amount as I would if I had a friend in this town. So if I am alone, I can purchase an ala carte plate for 20+, but if I was with a friend, I get all I can eat for $ 18.99. You guys are idiots. There was food all over the floor by the entrance. If I had any friends in Santa Maria, I’d tell them not to come here. But then again, if I had a friend in Santa Maria, i would not have this issue. Funny how that works. Thank you for letting me leave hungry, and screw your apology while I’m leaving, It means nothing. What you should have done, it’s use some common sense and let me order my food. I guess I’ll just go to McDonald’s. I just wish… Enough ranting, I guess.

Dear Angelica, I just want to thank you personally for your wonderful service tonight! I wish the rest of the servers in the world would take a few notes from you. Your attention to detail was so refreshing. From the minute our party sat down our table was already set with salad and banchan and ready to start grilling. The moment I mentioned I needed a salad without dressing, due to a gluten allergy, you brought it right out and then took it upon yourself to let us know all the other banchans and specific meats & marinades to beware of that contained gluten. For that you’re truly an angel in my eyes. Throughout the rest of our meal we had so many requests and you were prompt, never disappointed and even offered us a few of you own suggestions too. Thank you again, you are absolutely amazing! Love, Tanya PS: Dinner Course C is where it’s at! The USDA choice ribeye, shrimp & marinated short rib was so worth it!

They removed all«kitchen» items from the menu and only do the table grill. So no more bibimbap. The menu is now very limited. I doubt I’ll go back.

The last several times I’ve visited Santa Maria, I’ve found my way to SizzlinGogi’s. Delicious and fun! If you like Korean food and a great variety of meats to pick from, you need to give this place a try. All your come with a nice assortment of banchan, served in small bowls family-style for everyone to share. When your meat comes out, you get to cook it to your liking right on the grill built into your table. You can order a la carte, or choose a combo, or if you’re feeling hungry and adventurous, go for the all you can eat. Every time I’ve gone, it’s been with a group and we’ve gone down the all you can eat path. You ask, they bring it, you eat it – no catch, no surprises. I recommend going hungry, dining with friends and diving right into Course B. Try as many things as you can. Even so, you won’t get to taste it all in on one visit, so just plan on going back. The traditional beef bulgogi is fantastic but be sure to also try the trip-tip to get started, then explore from there. Everything else won’t disappoint, but you need to start somewhere. Also, don’t miss the spicy tofu stew… wow! It’s a nice complement to anything else you order. One final note: you’re in wine country, so don’t be surprised by the nice assortment of wines available. You can’t miss them on your left as you walk into the restaurant. Cool place, great casual vibe, very nice staff. If you’re near by, or find yourself traveling to this part of the central California coast, give it a try.

Surprisingly good Korean BBQ in Santa Maria. All You Can Eat, reasonably priced. The meats marinade are very good and the servers are great with changing out the grill(sauce from meat chars frequently) and they check on the tables often without breathing down your neck. I like that. Also enjoy all their pickled Kim chi side dishes… Well made, bravo. Nice environment. Good for social n family dining.
