This place is so good. Totally worth the price, shoot if anything I’d say they hook you up! Absolutely recommend this place. I’ll be back!!!

Good Mexican food here. They do the seafood cocktail thing that looks yummy. But, my favs are the tacos al pastor and the bacon wrapped shrimp. I ask for Diablo sauce on them and they are hot hot hot, but oh so good! Their salsa is also very good. The dining room needs a remodel. Some booths look pretty worn but all in all a good place for Mexican food

We used to come to this place often for lunch. The food is ok, nothing special. Lots of dishes with beans and rice as filler. You can order a burrito or tacos but you will pay more here than if you go to a non-sit down place. If you like to sit down and have dinner or lunch this place is ok.

We have been a big fan of El Publito for years! Came in for lunch today and it seems that they have new a menu. Same items really but a tad bit more expensive which is fine with me cuz it’s always awesome. Maybe it’s me but the horchata tastes thicker and sweeter and the salsa tastes way hotter than before, like WAYHOTTER! Maybe it’s just this batch but damn! I used to eat a whole bowl waiting for our food but today I could only eat three bites. Still, not complaining! Sope Asada and a chili rejellno just arrived. Gotta go! More later! Okay, we just finished and, as expected, the food, service, and atmosphere were all OUTSTANDING! Mi gusta! Mucho gusta!

We came here while staying in Santa Maria for an extended weekend. We ordered the shrimp enchiladas, grilled fish tacos, and a cheese enchilada for our little one. The atmosphere was a bit lacking, but fine for a casual family dinner and excellent Mexican food! Most delicious shrimp enchiladas I’ve ever had.

I always try and stop in when I’m in town. I love the shrimp cocktail with a few tacos or taquitos, but you can go wrong with anything you order. It has that warm Mexican welcome feel to the restaurant, the service is alway great and fast! Make sure you go hungry!

Some of the food is tasty. The chile rellenos, guacamole, and fajitas are delicious. The fried stuff is not, tastes like they haven’t changed their fry oil in decades! The servers were polite even though they were swamped with about 50 – 70 diners split amongst just 3 servers. The place feels a little dirty, overall 2 stars.

Love this place. The Carne Asada Plate is great and same with all the shrimp dishes. If you are looking for a great Mexican restaurant, give this place a try.

Went to El Pueblito tonight. I thought I would revisit an old favorite. First it was so hot in there and no A/C, another couple walked out after a few minutes. I thought the prices were high, but oh well I know prices are high everywhere. The food was ok, not as good as it used to be, but not bad. The bill comes and they added 2 $ to every plate. When I asked why the prices were different they brought me a menu that had a 1″ x2″ label on the front of the menu that was barely legible since the ink had smeared and who reads the front of the menu anyways! It said«due to increasing prices 2 $ will be added to plates that have steak» So it is 13 $ for 2 carne asada tacos beans n rice and 17 $ for fajitas. There are much better places to eat.

Chile Relleno to die for, great home made tortillas and salsa, tasty beef enchiladas and green sauce. Real brewed ice tea. I would lick my plate clean if I weren’t in public. Clean, friendly and quick service.

Really. This place sucks. Found a hair in food. Waiters were rude. Waiters feel entitled to your service.

Great 1st impression inside the restaurant– friendly, smiling people and hot chips and salsa! Large diverse menu, we ordered a la cart, chili relleno, guacamole tacos, and a bean burrito — basic fare. Fresh food arrived promptly and was exactly what we wanted — tasty, simple food after a hard day of wine tasting ;). No wow factor here with what we ordered — just honest food with nice service. Thanks!(Sme below gives a good, objective review, I personally like the ambiance, on a quiet Wednesday).

Back to our favorite Mexican restaurant tonight. Can’t beat the friendly service, really good food and reasonable prices. Once in a while we try another place just for a change and are sorry we did so. Thanks again for a great meal.

Whenever I want Mexican food, I usually visit two places, this one being one of them. In my opinion, El Pueblito is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. I don’t give 5 starts because there’s some things that could be better. The food is the authentic food that you’ll find in most places in Mexico, not the fancy-type of dishes some restaurants say it’s Mexican. Pros: — Authentic food that you’ll find most when visiting Mexico– not the fancy dishes that some restaurants say it’s Mexican. — Very GOOD salsa with chips, but chips can be a little oily some times. — Aside from the beans and rice, food has that taste of being cooked from scratch. — Very good flavor in most dishes. One of my favorites is the Camarones a La Diabla. — Good costumer service, family-run with the exception of the waitress — You’ll get a lot of food, as usual with most Mexican places. — Prices are good. Ex My dish of shrimps Camarones a la Diabla costs about $ 14 — Relatively clean — The fact that many Americans go eat there, says something about it — Enough parking space — They’ve live Mariachi visiting some Sunday Cons: — The place is an old small building with low ceiling, so although it’s freshly painted, it can feel crowded. — The side of salad they serve with most dishes, can be a bush of messy lettuce with no dressing. — The rice and beans are not my favorite, but some like them. — The shrimp cocktail doesn’t taste like those in Mexico, and opposite to the originals, they serve them cold. But I think you can ask for them to warm it up. — The last time I was there, an arrogant teenager got my order and she charged me more for it. Overall, the food is usually good and closely resembles that authentic food from Mexico, with some exceptions. The place is outdated but clean and has a welcoming feeling, just ignore the crowd. I’ll keep visiting there hoping not to get my order taken by that girl mentioned above. I’ll give 5 starts if they upgraded the facility and the dining sets.

The place is small but the food is very good. The kid menu was very friendly and offered a variety that was not only Mexican Food. The menu is large, chips and salsa are fresh. I would recommend the combination fajitas! Yum! Oh and on Friday they have live mariachi.

One of my favorite local places. If I’m choosing a sit down meal, this is my go too. Usually no wait. Wonderful service. Always on top of soda and chip refills! The food is wonderful. I’ve tried many things and haven’t had anything I didn’t like. They’re also willing to accommodate our vegetarian needs, adapting many items to fit our needs!
