My husband had TEN DIFFERENT nurses the first ten visits. No nurse had seen his wound before so had to ask me if it was looking better!
Nurse 10 placed the sponge of wound vac on top of the wound not in it, causing ulceration on the new tissue and a week of no wound vac, slowing his healing.
Now we find a sheet of plastic that was placed weeks ago and was left in the wound. So the wound has grown over it. Surgeon was scheduled to close the wound tomorrow. Removing the plastic mesh will set healing back by weeks!
