A beautiful tasting room located way at the top of a private road off Foxen Canyon Road, you’ll definitely need to go out of your way to taste here. Unfortunately, I wasn’t a fan of any of their wines, but it is a matter of personal preference since I know other people really enjoy them. They have a large production pinot which is available at Costco and many other retailers, and also their lower production pinots that you can only get here. We were excited to try those pinots as we were looking to stock up our wine cellar, but both my bf and I found that the higher end pinots pretty much tasted exactly like the one that is widely distributed, which we just personally aren’t fans of. So if you have tried that wine and don’t like it, you probably won’t enjoy their other wines.

DON’T BUYTHECLUBMEMBERSHIPUNLESSYOULIKEBLEACH The first time we went to this winery the wines were quite good… good enough to join the wine club. Before we signed up, I asked the server if we could cancel at any time he said yes. After our first shipment, however, the wines were quite undrinkable. The 2 bottles of Chardonnay tasted stale, like watered down wine served in a paper cup. The Pinot Gris smelled like bleach so we poured it down the drain. I contacted the rep from the winery and asked to cancel my membership. After several email exchanges, she informed me that I had committed to 3 of the 4 shipments(refer to your contract which was hastily signed after drinking a wine-tasting flight) and couldn’t cancel regardless of what I’d been told verbally unless I paid the $ 48 full-price difference for the swill I already received. YES, I decided. Please charge me an additional $ 50 so I never have to visit your winery again!

The Service: Wonderful~ We went on Thursday, no crowd at all. We had 110% attention from the staff… like a private tasting event! She is super knowledgeable about wine and very informative tasting lesson too. The Tasting Room: The tasting room has beautiful view. There is small outdoor patio seating area with nice furniture. Inside the tasting room, there are nice sofa and big dining table next to fireplace for seating area too. Feel free to bring your picnic basket and have a pleasant day here at the winery. The Parking: Parking in front of the tasting room.

Awesome visit at the tasting room today. Brian was very helpful and informative of the wine selections and very accommodating, including allowing us to experience private wines that were not on the tasting list.

Cambria winery is always enjoyable. They do great Pinots, recommend the clones and Barbara. Brian was part of the reason we became members.

We stopped here on a recent winery tour trip because we enjoy their Chardonnay wine labeled«Katherine’s Vineyard». To our surprise, after we sampled it we compared it to their other wines, and those were even better! Their Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir are outstanding! Long story short, good wines, you can get 2 for 1 tasting coupons at the online wine country magazine, and very good service from knowledgeable staff. Definitely worthwhile stopping at!

Brian and Adelle in the tasting room are so personable and knowledgeable! I love seeing them every time I go to the tasting room. Cambria’s Clones and Syrah are to die for!

This is our only stop in the Santa Maria/Santa Ynez area that we didn’t plan on. But having driven to that corner of the region, we decided to give it a try. Good decision. Their chard that we’ve seen at retail(Costco?) wasn’t too exciting. But a single vineyard Pinot Noir called Close 2A was best of the day. That we took home. The setting is fabulous, worth the long drive up to their vineyard. Service was less than stellar.

One of our first stops on our recent anniversary trip to Cambria and the central coast wineries. We were greatly impressed with the personal touch of our hostess, Amanda and joined the wine club based on the tasting we did and the service that was offered. Can hardly wait to get back up there!

Cambria never fails to impress me. I’ve been coming to Cambria for years and stopped by this weekend for a tasting. The wine is better than ever and the service as always, is wonderful, the tasting experience is truly educational with these people. This is a beautiful winery with friendly employees and YUMMYYUMMY wine. You won’t regret coming here.

I’m not one to revisit places that didn’t leave a lasting impression on me, so I was surprised to find myself back at Cambria so soon since our first visit to them. We were on the trail with friends of ours and leaving Rancho Sisquoc when the named Cambria as the suggested next stop. I wanted out so bad and may have tried saying no even but my bf who may at times be more polite that I said we are with them and we can’t only go where I want to go. Ummm and why the heck not but I figured I’d go and be a champ plus they had buy on get one coupons. I’m actually pleasantly surprised by our visit. We had a great time. Walking into a very crowded tasting room around noon on a Saturday we snagged a few bars tools at a round that overlooked their production from above. I really liked this seating option, much more than the standing option at the counter. We sat and were greeted by Amanda who remembered us from our last visit. We opted for the mixed white/red tasting this time since I wasn’t impressed with the all Pinot flight before. We started off indoors as our friends unloaded their son and then relocated to an outdoor patio table with plush seat cushions. As busy as it was Amanda took really great care of us and very quickly built rapport with me which changed my mind on Cambria. I also enjoyed the wine a bit more than last time and asked to revisit the«cab converter» I enjoyed last time. We didn’t join the wine club here or purchase any bottles but I won’t rule out visiting them again in the future. We stayed well over and hour, maybe even two and had a fabulous time.

10÷10÷14 Absolutely love the wines of this winery. The boyfriend and his mother introduced me to these amazing wines last year and this year I was able to go with the group to visit the winery in person. The grounds are amazing! The showroom/tasting room is so nice. Great design, warm, and welcoming feeling. You also have a view of the barrels and fermenting storage which is pretty cool! Our server Brandon was AMAZING! Very knowledgable about the wines he is serving and you can tell he loves what he does. We decided to sit outside since it was a beautiful day. A few people of our group are members of the wine club so our tasting was free and the wines we had were awesome!!! We definitely spent quite a bit purchasing lot of bottles to take home. We were able to get some of our favorites. One in particular is a 20082A Pinot noir. Soooo lucky to get two of the 6 bottles they happen to have left. When you try wines this good it broadens your horizons and knowledge of amazing wines. This winery knows how to do wine! For true wine lovers its a must to come visit the winery of your favorite wine. The grounds are gorgeous and the experience is wonderful.

We had a 2 for 1 tasting coupon and decided to give Cambria a try. The tasting room is beautiful and very elegantly decorated. They mainly pour Chardonnays and Pinots here. The Chardonnays were pretty good, but the Pinots were just okay. A few of their varietals retail at most locations, but the rest are exclusive to the winery or club members.

We started of the day at Cambria after spending most of the previous day in the Santa Rita Hills where we had some unbelievable wines. The Cambria wines stood up to all of the Santa Rita big names. Even though Cambria was the first stop on a day that included the Foxen trail, I bought 2 bottles. I got to Clone 4 and Clone 23 on the list I had to have them. Janice, the woman at the tasting room, was very nice and very professional. She knew a lot about the process and took the time to explain labor intensive process used on their estate clone specific wines. It is clear that this winery could not sell these wine club wines at such affordable prices if they did not have the economies of scale from their big production Julia and Catherine lines. While those wines are very good, especially for the price, the hand-crafted(pushing the stems and skins to the bottom of the barrel for each barrel, barrel by barrel) wines are in a different universe. My beginning of the day bet paid off, we hit all of the better known and highly rated wineries on the Foxen Trail all the way to Zaca Mesa. I think Cambria was among the best.

It was just OK. I got a tasting. They seemed to be very into pinot clones. Although none of them were bad, none of them wowed me enough to want to buy a bottle. The tasting room was nice and had a good view out of a big picture window. There didn’t appear to be any one working in the tasting room when we got there. We had to hunt them down in the office after a little while…

I love that the pinots are titled by their clone number… really enjoyed the clone 667! Our pourer was really super nice and friendly… knew quite a bit about the wines. Wish we spent more time here… next time next time.

After a disappointing«I don’t care you come here» attitude at Rancho Sisquoc Tasting Room, my husband encouraged that we try another wine tasting room… our choice Cambria Winery. OMG!!! I’m not a fan of white wines, but Cambria has the best Chardonnay to make me want to convert! They’re Clone 96 is OUTSTANDING!!! And their reds are great! Especially Barbara’s Clone 667! Enjoying a 180 degree view of the vineyard, great wine and employees who genuinely make you feel welcome, this is my new favorite wine tasting room in the Santa Maria Valley. We loved it so much we became wine club members! Thank you Rancho Sisquoc for having a «bad day»!! Your thank you card is in the mail. :P

I’m a lover of all that is wine, but Chardonnay has given me great difficulty. With intentions of developing at least an appreciated for Chardonnay, I headed to Santa Maria and literally took a left turn onto Chardonnay Lane. Cambria had me at first swirl, sniff, and sip of their Unwooded Chardonnay. Then, the Clone 4 blew my mind. I’m now a believer. The delicious Chardonnays were just a prelude to the Pinot Noir gems that we tasted next. Barrel fermentation, yes please! Absolutely spectacular. Thank you Emily for being so friendly, knowledgeable, and charming. You made for a truly elevated tasting experience.
