Breakfast that is cheap and well made. Hole in the wall breakfast burrito spot. Be prepared to not eat lunch after, these burritos are as big as your forearm.

Had a sausage egg breakfast burrito with Christmas sauce! Wonderful burrito and the sauces were both fantastic! I preferred the red sauce because the flavor was simply amazing! Service was fantastic and the waitress was very friendly! We had a great breakfast at a great restaurant! Highly recommend!!!

Tia Sophia’s is THE place for a New Mexican breakfast. It’s a cute diner setting, and there is always a wait on the weekends. The servers work fast to get people in and out, so there is a feeling of being rushed. I’ve had the breakfast burrito($ 9 with an egg) & the huevos rancheros on blue corn tortillas($ 9) and they were excellent. Both had really flavorful chile.

Great hole-in-the-wall New Mexico Mexican restaurant. Carne Adovada very pleasantly spicy. Highly recommend this place for a meal

So good! My daughter loved her Huevos Rancheros, and the green Chile wasn’t too hot for her, Santa Fe plate was great, burrito was great, sopapillas are delicious! The green Chile here is my favorite. The red is really good too though! Waitress was great too.

We wanted a quick bite to eat in the Plaza on a Friday afternoon. Tia Sophia’s is a quick and cheap lunch option. While there are some dishes that have a southwestern flavor, it is more of a Tex-Mex joint, in my opinion. Lunches do not come with chips and salsa, you have to pay extra for that. And the portion is very small. I had the special chicken enchiladas with the green chili sauce. It was good. Not the best, but certainly worth the price. The lunch portions are large and come with sopapillas. I liked the sopapillas because they are not sugared. If you want an inexpensive lunch that is fast with good service, Tia Sophia’s is a good option.

First things First!!! Young G could NOT use his AMEX!!! That is not a plus in my book!!! However!!! The service here was muy MUY rapido which we all know is muy MUYBUENO! Ordered the daily special and had it ready on the table within 3 minutes… now thats what Young G calls service!!! As for the food itself, it was filling and seemingly authentic. Best of all! It didnt have Young G running to the nearest bathroom afterwards!!! Count that as a win for your boy!!! Young G recommends this spot for a quick satisfying lunch. Get IN get OUT get ON

To be very honest I think the lunch was OK but I’ve heard that their breakfast is amazing. I had the Santa Fe platter and didn’t find it extraordinary and my daughter loved her huevos rancheros that she would rate a four. But the sopapillas are awesome and come with every meal. Be sure to put lots of honey and brown sugar on top.

Guys, do yourselves a favor and go here for breakfast. Like now. Actually, like five minutes ago. On a rec from our hotel and a quick scan of Unilocal,we decided to check out TIa’s for breakfast. As east coasters, we woke up super early by accident and had a craving for something delish. There was no wait since it was before 8am on a weekday(womp womp) and were promptly seated and attended to! We split the giant breakfast burrito«Christmas style». They generously cut this in half for us so we could easily share and really taste the difference between the green and red. My only complaint is that there wasn’t more! My hungry hubby devoured the majority of his half before I could even say«go» and I hastily made him swap with me so I could enjoy at least some of the green side! The bacon was wonderfully crispy and the potatoes and eggs complimented the flavors so well. It reminded me of my beloved Texas breakfast tacos which I miss every morning when I eat breakfast. A truly delicious breakfast burrito with delightful hand cheery diner style service!

Amazing food, great service and awesome culture! I had the tamales, chili on the side and by far the BEST tamales I’ve ever eaten!

This has been a favorite of mine for breakfast. I recently came here for a breakfast burrito and was a bit disappointed. Although the food was tasty I found it overpriced. I know it’s downtown Santa fe but I was expecting something more for my breakfast burrito. The hash browns seemed like the frozen kind I buy at the store, I had to pay extra for my breakfast burrito to have egg in it and even at that there was not much egg. And lastly we tried both the red and green and the green tasted like it came out of a can. Don’t get me wrong all was very tasty but I have been spoiled by more authentic nm food that doesn’t come from a freezer or can. On another note the service here was fast and friendly.

This place, through no fault of their own subsists off the very things I hate about santa fe. It’s super crowded all the time, touristy, blah blah blah. That said, the service is always good, a rarity in santa fe. The waits suck sometimes but generally speaking they’re fast and efficient. The food… this is my favorite breakfast place in santa fe by a wide margin. It’s not even close, at all. I’ll recommend Tia’s over and over, especially at breakfast time.

Standard Mexican. Wasn’t as impressed as the reviews would lead me to believe, but it was satisfying We were hoping to get breakfast, but didn’t get there till after 11 and turns out they stop serving breakfast at 11! Oh no! Fortunately they serve Huevos Rancheros all day. And that’s what we got. And they tasted like Huevos Rancheros. I can’t think of anything particular to say about them. The sopapillas were really good. And with some honey on them? Yum. It’s nice that the sopapillas just come with it too. If I were to return I would definitely just try more of the sopapillas, as they have different types.

My wife and I came here for breakfast while staying at the Hilton Plaza down the street. We split the breakfast burrito Xmas style and a short stack of blueberry pancakes. Both were excellent although WHEN I go back, because I definitely will, I’ll probably get the burrito with the green Chile sauce only as it was much better in the morning than the red sauce, IMHO. The fried egg on top of the breakfast burrito was way better than scrambled inside. Oh yeah, the blueberry pancakes really hit the spot and complimented the saviory flavor of the breakfast burrito perfectly. Coffee was bold and nutty and the orange juice and cold and fresh. Very nice wait staff, cozy seating, and clean restrooms. This should be the go-to breakfast dive for anyone visiting Santa Fe. Especially if you’re staying near the Plaza.

I really enjoyed the food here. My husband had the combo plate which he thoroughly enjoyed and I had the stuffed beef sopaipilla with green chilli on it. The chilli is outstanding and the tamale in my husbands plate was just divine. Only knocking off a star for our server. He wasn’t exactly the most friendly I’ve met, was hard to get his attention and handed us the bill before we had even finished eating which was a little off putting as I was wanting to order another tea but never got the opportunity. It’s like he couldn’t wait for us to go and it wasn’t exactly busy. The front of house staff however were very nice so maybe we just didn’t luck out with our server or he was having an off day.

I was expecting stronger flavors from such a highly rated restaurant. The green chili was watered down. Not as strong as homemade green chili. The food was not farm-to-table produce and was mediocre on preparation. Don’t get me wrong, the food isn’t bad, it’s just not great… just good.

This spot was so delicious that we ate two precious vacation breakfasts here. On Saturday morning there was a line, but they are efficient and we didn’t wait long. On Sunday we hit the jackpot and we were only second in line so the wait was less than five minutes. I would wait longer if necessary because it was totally worth a wait. The breakfast burrito was amazing. I had the chorizo one morning and the bacon the next morning. Both will blow your mind. The burritos are loaded with tasty hashbrowns, fluffy eggs, and plenty of meat of your choice. I chose Christmas style and found that this green chile lover actually preferred the red here. Both are delicious. I also had a blue corn pancake both mornings and loved it. I’ve never had a fluffier pancake and the blue corn was a delicious twist on the usual breakfast food. I would definitely recommend this spot for people visiting the area! We saw plenty of locals dining here as well.

Tia Sophia’s, more like Yummy Burrita’s. There’s a reason people wait out the door to get into this place. Amazingly, our wait was only about 20 minutes, even on a Saturday morning. They move people in and out pretty efficiently so be prepared to run in there when they call your number. As soon as we were seated we had a waitress taking our drink order. It didn’t take long to decide what we wanted because they have a menu posted outside. Since it was Saturday, I went with the burrito of the day which was the Chorizo Burrito. It wasn’t too long after we ordered that we got our behemoths on a plate. They do not mess around with the size of these burritos! Smothered perfectly with Christmas chile, every bite was warm and full of flavor. I would be 300lbs if I lived any closer to this place. I want to come back desperately to try the Huevos Rancheros! So, buy into the hype, grab a number in line and enjoy some of Santa Fe’s best.

I came here for breakfast yesterday, and my mom has been coming here for over 20 years, so it was nice to visit while I am in town. I had the Huevos Rancheros, and the food is terrific. I especially liked that they have a bar to sit at, since it was only for one. The staff there are very friendly and welcoming. I hadn’t been there in ages, but the food is consistently good. I will definitely be back!

Tia Sophia’s got me hooked on sopapillas! My boyfriend and I constantly crave this place. The 5 star rating is for that entrée alone since I love it so much. Service was a bit rushed because they get extremely busy. Expect a bit of a wait on a weekend for lunch. They serve you plain fresh and hot sopapillas and there’s honey and cinnamon on the counter that you can put on yourself. SOGOOD! Amazing deal for the ground beef stuffed sopapilla($ 9). It’s smothered in cheese and chile. The beef is perfectly spiced and the sopapilla is so fluffy. You will be extremely full afterwards since the meal is pretty heavy. My boyfriend tried the combo plate of a tamale, enchilada, and taco(~$ 11). The taco was fantastic but the tamales and enchiladas were just standard for us.
