Neat jazz club in Santa Fe. Looking forward to playing here tonight. Thanks to RJ for supporting live music in the west. Cocktails here are great.

I am a Santa Fe resident. The High Note is your typically beautiful plaza bar with $ 6.50 local draft beers & impeccable Décor. We went to check out a live dance band that was listed in the Santa Fe Reporter newspaper. High Note charged us DOUBLETHEENTRANCEFEEADVERTISED in the paper with no apologies. The sound for the dance band was horrible the floors are carpeted– not intended for dancing. We got a round of drinks and were enjoying the music. Within an hour of our arrival we were being RUSHEDOUTOFTHEVENUE by the owner/manager of the night who hovered at our table and snarled at us for not ordering more drinks. We went to enjoy the music and the cocktails and not to get drunk. Instead of offering to take our empty glasses he reached in between us(from behind) and grabbed them from our hands mid-air. BEFOREWECOULDGETOURCOATSONHEWASALREADYSEATING a new party at our table. Despite the warm lighting and friendly servers, WEWILLNOTBERETURNING because of the LACKOFHOSPITALITY and RUDETREATMENT from the the establishment’s managing staff who put a damper on our night by not having the courtesy to let us enjoy our drinks/the music, and who also failed to provide accurate information for their event listing. If you are looking for an equally beautiful establish to support with live music, a REAL dance floor and GREATHOSPITALITY, I recommend THEPALACE

I agree the place can seem a bit unorganized when you’ve already sat down and began conversation only to have who think is your waiter be a doorman requesting a cover charge, but… welcome to Santa Fe! I’ve always had very pleasant service from the young women waitressing and bartending, and this little lounge is a nice change for me from time to time. Drinks are always strong and the music is always good. If you want to sit on your cell phone and order cheap beer, skip out, but if you’re looking for a good martini, some local music, and an enjoyable group to socialize with then check the place out.

RJ the owner is an excellent host. The music is some of the best in town — always! Some of the other reviews said the service was a bit slow, but they make some great cocktails. I am sure those fancy cocktails take a bit more time.

Love this place, the vibe and the cocktails! The cocktail waitresses are great, efficient and pleasant to chat up in conversation. I’ve never met owners that care more about a bar than this, the music has been phenomenal every time I step foot into it and the atmosphere is relaxed with a classiness to it.

I called this business and left messages to get a call back about it being a possible venue for a bachelor party 6 different times, including calling the Coyote Café on the second floor to see if I could talk to anyone connected with the High Note. No one ever got back to me regardless of leaving a message each time. I’m not even going to set foot in the place.

I was completely ignored, so I left. Seems to be a common occurrence.

We went in and paid a cover only to be ignored for the better part of an hour. Waitstaff and owner passed by multiple times without a single acknowledgement. We gave up and left. I left an unfavorable, but polite, review on their Facebook which the owner reported and had removed. In fact if you look at their page there are only five star reviews. Misrepresentation on top of extremely poor service. I doubt this place will stick around long if this is how they continue to treat customers. Zero stars!

Not a great experience. We were greeted at the door by one of the owners and were offered a seat at the bar. The bartender offered a drink menu and never returned. We sat at the bar for at least 10 minutes. After a discussion with the owner, another bartender then let us know that we needed to pay a $ 5 cover if we wanted to stay for a band that wasn’t even on stage. Great looking spot and drink menu. Poor hospitality.
