I’m sad. When this place first opened, it was really good. Nice thick sandwiches and paninis, good quality meat and bread, made beautifully. It was a close, local place to grab a tasty sandwich. My to-go lunch was disappointing. My usual favorite, turkey and Swiss panini, was made with no care. Just a mass of low quality tasting turkey in the center with no meat at the edges. They must have also changed the bread, which was tough and not from the toasting of the sandwich. The sandwich does come with coleslaw(can’t rate the slaw since I don’t eat it) and a cookie. Both of which have gotten drastically smaller in size since they opened. For what you pay for a sandwich, it used to be a value with the higher quality fixin’s. Now, I’m sad. I might try it one more time but if the quality isn’t any better then its off my eatery list.

I really want to like this restaurant. The food prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. They have free wifi, but you have to ask for the password, which they give out to customers. The food is decent and edible. They skimp on the cream cheese on their bagels. The coffee isn’t(or wasn’t today) all that fresh, but it was 2:00 in the afternoon. My breakfast burrito was average, and tasted like a Denver omelet in a burrito. My companion wasn’t overly impressed with his food either. The portions were a tad on the smaller side. I dunno. It seems really nice. They do offer smoothies that have distinctive flavors that I don’t see anywhere else in town, so that’s a plus…

This is getting pretty disappointing. First, some things I’ve seen: don’t use the drive-thru for anything but coffee, it takes forever; the pastry items in the front case have always been very very good; the service is kind and thoughtful, if slow. Now the bad news: I’ve been here maybe a total of 10 times getting various items. I don’t know what they do in the kitchen or how understaffed they might be but it’s really slow. Their BLT has always been really good, but I ordered today and it came with two slices of tomato that were so thin, I had to open the sandwich to see if they were there. There were two slices of bacon on the sandwich. Tons of lettuce, and yes, I know lettuce is cheap. It was very disappointing. I used to also like the egg, sausage and cheese sandwich but the last time I got it about 2 wks ago the sausage was without flavor, shrunken and didn’t fill much of the bread. Same with the egg. I THINK I saw cheese on there. In any case, I don’t think I’ll be going back or recommending it to anyone anymore. The quality of food and portion size has really gone down(and I’m not a big eater nor someone who necessarily wants«big food»). Sorry Green Owl. I truly wish you could’ve kept up the earlier quality.

Latte was good. Served an ice cold burrito. Treated in an unprofessional matter at the counter. Places like this give Santa Fe a bad name.

The portions could be appropriate to what your paying that would be helpful!

The previous review was not posted by me. I am a vegan and would never have had the chance to complain about the egg or the cheese in my order. Sincere apologies to The Green Owl for this oversight.

I wanted to enjoy this place, but unfortunately I can’t recommend it. Restaurant are about food, and the food here is so boring it puts me to sleep. I had a tuna melt; they toasted the bread so is completely dry and then melted cheese on top. Then they plopped on some very uninteresting-dull and stone-cold tuna salad — yech! The lemonade tasted like it was made from powder. And lastly, the dining room was freezing. All the patrons in the half-filled dining room, were wearing their jackets too. Oh well.

I was excited to try this place out, since it seemed new and had a cool name. I thought it was maybe in the vein of Flying Star… NOT! The first time, I went through drive thru and I got homefries and a smoothie. The guy forgot to give me my change, which was only a dollar, so I didn’t mention it. The homefries were given to me on a Dixie plate covered in tin foil, and my smoothie looked separated. Eww. When I got home, the fries were soggy and cold, I only live one mile away, so they shouldn’t have been cold! The smoothie lasted like it was a powered mix or something, and had a weird texture. Yesterday, I decided to give them one more try, hoping I just caught them on a bad day. I ordered a Turkey and Swiss panini and a Southern Sweet Tea. The sweet tea wasn’t sweet at all, and had the strangest, almost tapioca, taste to it. I attempted to mask the taste with Sweet & Low to no avail. Still tasted terrible! The panini was served quickly, but it looked like it had been sitting there for awhile. It was luke warm, and served with a little cup of what I assumed to be Cole Slaw, a pickle, and what tasted and looked like an old Chips Ahoy cookie. The panini was gross and lacked any sort of flavor. Overall, a terrible experience! Don’t waste your money. You’d have better luck at the Carl’s Jr next door!

Internet doesn’t work. Iced coffee tasted really odd. Smoke filled the dining area(oh that’s why everyone was sitting outside!). Overall it’s about what you’d expect from a renovated gas station. I ordered a coffee and asked if there was a password for the Internet. She says«no, but it’s hit or miss, I make no promises.» Iced coffee is usually a safe bet, the cold dulls the flavor so even pretty crumby coffee is tolerable with ice and milk. I threw mine away. Maybe the dining area looks nice, maybe the food is good, I had little reason to stay long enough to take notice.

Fast service. I asked for a specialty drink and they made it. It was a bit pricey, but it was very good and I would go back again.

Read about the converted garage /restaurant and was game to try. Wished I hadn’t. Mediocre coffee and food served on a styrofoam plate with a plastic fork. Counter help could use some customer service training. Converted garage is a great concept but kinda vanilla inside. Won’t be going back.

I got so excited when this place opened up! I have no idea where my high expectations came from, but I was a little bummed after my visit. Okay coffee, sub-par breakfast burrito(for Santa Fe standards), a so-so panini of the day… nothing really impressed me. Apparently there’s even free wifi, but my iPhone couldn’t connect. Their hours aren’t even posted on their website of their take out menu, so I’m not sure when they’re open, really. Cute concept, but didn’t deliver. I’ll go spend my money elsewhere.
