Put the Chile Shop on your list of «must go to» places for chile and spice needs. The owner was awesome with education and helping to select the right types and ‘heat’ levels to suite our cooking(and gift) needs. I could have stayed here all afternoon. The selections are amazing. And, they ship! I love them!

I have been to this store three times and it has quickly become one of our«must stops» when we visit Santa Fe. Pleasant people working there and wonderful products. Pinion Incense are a reminder of New Mexico when we are home. Other items such as Chile powder to cook with as well. Home décor to decorate your table also.

Great spot for some unique souvenirs! The owner of the store was friendly and welcomed our questions. It was pleasing to hear that the items in the store are produced by local business and that the owner puts consideration into the fresh of the items, so he tries to purchase small orders to avoid products sitting on the shelves for too long. We are super satisfied with the products we brought home. This store does an awesome job at highlighting the local specialties of Santa Fe.

Nice assortment of chiles but owner(lady) wasn’t very friendly despite my plunking down $ 45 on her dehydrated soup. Snippy hen asked question about shipping. Try the 5 an dime store on the plaza— same stuff, cheaper.

Great stop for those visiting Santa Fe. I’d say the best thing to take home from a visit to Santa Fe would have to be either red or green chile, or both! There are many different things offered here. My girlfriend and I made out of here with a big pouch of the red chile, chile coffee, and a posole packet! YUMMM This is a small shop and thus the staff is able to give the customers plenty of attention. As my girlfriend and I looked though different bags, jars, and packets the staff would tell us how to prepare each, and answered any questions we had. This likely isn’t the cheapest place to find chile. It’s kind of touristy, and thus, overpriced. But they do have a great selection of chile related items. FYI, not all food items are chile related. They also offer things like blue corn pancake mix and blue core popcorn kernals. If you are at the plaza, or nearby, check this place out!

So thanks to the gentleman that owns this store our fridge is always filled with fresh, homemade red chili sauce. He was AWESOME, knowledgeable, and very willing to spend some time with us to find the products that fit our needs the best. Another bonus is that you can re-order online and save yourself the 5+ hour drive for the same taste at home.

To be fair, I did receive a full refund from them. But I’d still never shop there again, and I’d still suggest you run, not walk, to another online store if that’s what you’re looking for.

OK, this is my kind of place. The people are friendly who work/own this place. It is on the spendy side, but well worth the money. I made my first batch of green chili stew last night from the dried green chile’s I got here. Fantastic! The red chili pistachios were solid.

Cute little store where you can buy all sorts of touristy chile things. I got green and red chile salsa mixes, and a package of ancho chile. The wife got some famous New Mexican coffee. We liked the store and would return. Maybe you can get the same stuff elsewhere for cheaper, but the experience is fun and the packages have website addresses for future reference so I don’t have to go all the way back to Santa Fe.

I was excited when I first heard about the Chile Shop, but a bit disappointed after browsing the store. Their items are overpriced. I found the same chiles and spices for $ 2 less elsewhere. Yet, definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for edible goods to bring back home.

Everything you could want in regard to chiles is in this store — chile art, cookbooks, dried chiles, chile sauce, chile powder, chile peanut butter, chile chocolate, chile peant brittle(the sample was awesome), tortilla soup mix, chipotel chip dip mix, and more. If you love chiles and spicy food this shop is a must stop in Santa Fe. The staff was super friendly and very helpful too.

I came here at the request of my boyfriend while on business travel. He sent me in with a list of specific chile powders to buy for him and a friend. The shopkeeper was friendly, helped me find everything on my list, and even gave me a great suggestion on what else was worth trying. They also stock a good selection of local cookbooks representing some of the best of southwestern cuisine, local ‘chile’ themed art and pottery, and gourmet foodstuffs. Definitely worth popping in if you are a chile afficianodo.

An interesting store that sells chile stuff. I know the name is confusing. Anyways, I bought a habanero jelly. Haven’t tried it yet but it sounds cool. They also sold habanero chocolate fudge but I wasn’t brave enough to purchase that.
