HIGHLY Recommend, so happy about how loyal they are to their locals:) Lisa the floor Manager is so sweet! This place deserves 10+ Stars. The staff gives the best service in town, and the food has been incredible for the past 10+ years I’ve been eating here. Love Love…

We meet up with a client at the end of day for a few drinks. We were greeted by the ever pleasing Lisa who remembered our names the whole evening. There were lots of great choices of wines by the glass and we happy to have meet Harry who has run this place for a few decades. You can feel the connection everyone has for this establishment. We were enjoying our time there so much that we stayed for a great steak dinner. Thanks gang for making us feel at home.

I really don’t enjoy writing bad reviews and derive no joy in it, particularly when the dreadful service ruined what could have been a good meal. I was a single diner who had studied the menu in advance so I was prepared to order immediately. I was seated and brought a glass of water. When Jose, my waiter, arrived I told him what I had selected: First, a glass of Laphroig followed by the Bull Ring House Salad, followed by the Bone In Rib Eye. I mentioned that I wanted a glass of Pinot Noir when the steak was served. Pretty simple, right? I sat and waited while another couple were seated and served drinks and bread. Jose returned and asked me what I had ordered as a drink. I pointed out«Laphroig» on the drink menu to which Jose replied«oh» and vanished. No Laphroig but the salad appeared eventually. I was hungry having not eaten lunch in anticipation of the 22 oz. steak($ 50+) so I nibbled at the salad and asked Jose why no bread had been delivered. He blamed the busboy. Half way through the salad the Laphroig appeared. Then the steak appeared from another waiter and I mentioned I wanted the wine with the steak. The wine appeared eventually as I had already started the steak and basically given up on the normal progression of a meal. So everything was there essentially all at once. So I just did the best I could and asked for the check. Jose had sensed my displeasure at the dreadful service and sarcastically wished me a «wonderful» evening when delivering the check. In conclusion, the meal was wrecked by Jose who at the end of the service seemed to enjoy my unhappiness. I strongly suggest Jose find another line of work. I haven’t been back. Sorry Bill Ring ownership for the bad review but you hired the wrong guy.

Excellent petite filet. They book it in butter and it was fantastic. It was cooked perfectly medium rare as requested. Happy hour decent just a limited menu. If you need a steak in Santa Fe, I’d recommend the Bull Ring.

If you love an old school steakhouse this is your place. I thoroughly enjoyed the New York Strip finished in butter. The shrimp cocktail and the mixed greens salad were right on. The meal was paced just right as each item came to the table at the appropriate time. BTW-The Au Gratin potatoes were very cheesy and delicious. Xcellent Service Wait Staff Is Top Notch.

Oooh my, where do I start! This place is a must go for me every time I visit santafe. The mashed potatoes are to die for, literally the best I’ve tried in my entire life! The bull burger was fabulous. The steaks are so fresh and tender u can literally cut them with just a fork, and the taste is an orgasm in your mouth! Red chili beef was very tasty, i preferred it over the green chili stew, which I didn’t think it was that special. I’ve also tried the fried chicken and they were perfectly crisp! Next time aiming to try the buffalo burger I heard good stuff about it! Try this place and believe me u will not regret it!

I have been here twice now, and I look forward to the next time I can treat myself like this. It is hella pricey, but the food is phenomenal. I ordered the filet, medium rare, and it was PERFECT. Juicy, with a little bit of salty crust on the outside, tender on the inside, and melts in my mouth. The sides are a la carte, and I had the baked potato(sans bacon and cheese, I know, don’t judge me. I’m trying to watch my figure ;) The baked potato was baked to the point where the skin was edible and not burnt(I hate when it’s over cooked). I had two dirty vodka martinis, which were also perfection. They were full to the brim, and were sensationally made. I was too full to order dessert :(Our waitress and other servers waited on us hand and foot and were extremely friendly. I love their location, it’s tucked away and feels very intimate. Until next time Bull Ring :)

Amazing service and beautiful ambiance. The steak was flavorful, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Everything from appetizers to dessert was perfect. We had crab cakes(sauce was a little spicy) and they were delicious. Filet was great quality and au gratin potatoes were tasty. Hollandaise sauce for the asparagus was a little bland but still good. Cheesecake & chocolate mousse were the perfect ending to a delightful meal.

When does medium mean strap marks still on a steak? It does when you eat at the bull ring in Santa Fe. Although, the salads were cooked perfectly. Oh, wait, you don’t cook salad. The server made us feel like it was our fault that the $ 35 petit filet was undercooked. Good thing I don’t live here.

…I mean — I ordered the salmon for dinnn’ter and that was fantastically delish! We got there around 6pm and the attendant was quite entertaining. But lemme begin by saying, we ‘heard’ about this place so our inquisitive nature kinda lead the way. That being said, we were quite pleased with our entries… The service was seamless. And the food was divine. Would I go again… Possibly… maybe… Yea… I’d go again.

I only came here for the bar. The alcohol is pretty strong, which generally I dislike. I ordered the White Russian, which was done very well but very strongly. The house margarita is sweet and delicious. Ambiance was dimly lit and cozy. Bartenders were very agreeable and good about asking us how we were.

Now that I’ve been doing some dining in Santa Fe, I have to admit, it sure is easy to get a reservation. This city curls into a little ball at about 6pm, so if you want a table at 7 … no problem! And the table we got here was really nice. Tucked a little off to the side, round, seated six very comfortably. Someone brought us water right away, and the couple bottles of wine(Estancia Meritage Cab Sav from Paso Robles, delish!) arrived in excellent time. After tasting, though, the server went around the table and filled all the glasses except the one that did the tasting. What was that? An oversight I guess, but if this had been a movie, it would have been excellent foreshadowing. You expect a steak house to know how to cook a steak — every time, perfect. It’s what they do. At our table two people ordered the filets, both medium. One arrived terribly rare, and the other arrived just as it should be. How can that happen? It’s the same steak, cooked on the same fire at the same time. The rib eye that was ordered medium rare was a solid medium. Yuck. The Matador(two people ordered that — it’s a strip with sautéed mushrooms, onions straws and green chile) was dry, not very tender, and more medium than medium rare. We think part of the issue might be that the steaks are served on 500 degree hot plates. The meat keeps cooking while you’re sitting there eating it. After we were served, the staff disappeared and it took ten minutes to get someone to take the«should have been medium but was rare» steak back to the fire. It came back to the second time only medium rare. The poor guy who ordered it, too nice to send it back a second time, waited for his plate to cook it! All in all, for this well traveled meat eating group, it was disappointing in the extreme. The sides included mashed potatoes(good), a sweet potato mash with a sweet sauce(great), sautéed mushrooms(button mushrooms — $ 8 for a small plate of gooey button mushrooms). Mr. T. had a baked potato and it was very pedestrian. Nothing special among the amazingly overpriced sides. If I’m paying $ 45 for the steak, you should plop some spinach on that plate for less than $ 5, just saying. I went around the table and asked everyone how many stars they would give it. The average was 2.58. Comments ranged from«could have cooked a better steak at home,» to «my steak was wrong twice!», to «I see no reason to ever come back here». That says it all. There are too many fine dining opportunities out there for anyone to come here. Take my word for it and save yourself for a steak house where they know how to cook and serve steak. This is not that place.

This place is the go-to for political scene in Santa Fe. All the lobbyists, lawmakers and wannabes head here after the legislative session hours and talk shop or socialize. Mostly they get drunk. It’s great people watching, and an excellent place to get the gossip on what is going on at the roundhouse. The bar is definitely old fashioned, with people on average north of 45. They are professionally dressed obviously, looking the part of the politicos. The service in the restaurant has been slow the 2 times I’ve been, and despite only ordering a burger, not able to keep up with water, refills on drinks. My burger was overcooked from the specified cook temp. When this place is busy, expect to wait more than an hour for your food. Overall I’d say the old fashioned steak house vibe is fun, and the people watching in the bar is great, but definitely stay clear if it seems busy as you’ll be waiting forever fo your just okay food.
