Was recommended to Tastefully Yours from a lady who attends the same bible study as I. Contacted Cindy about scheduling a taste testing of the bar-b-que brisket and chicken. We also requested to taste the lasagne because I wasn’t keen on having b-b-q at the wedding. Met with Cindy and Keith Cappadona, owners on Friday February 5th for a taste testing. Neither myself or my fiancé could even cut the brisket because it was so tough and the chicken(thigh) was so dry we didn’t eat it. The lasagna was very good. So we decided to go with the lasagne. We also requested a price on a fruit display and pasta salad. We received the quote on 2÷6÷16. We decided to omit the fruit display because of the price. We received the revised proposal on 2÷8÷16. On 2÷9÷16, I received an email from their Director of Marketing at 10:05 am, stating that they filled their calendar on 2÷7÷16 and no longer had the ability to cater our wedding. I just knew this was an oversight since I received my revised proposal on 2÷8÷16. I contacted Cindy who confirmed it was correct. She didn’t check with her staff before sending me the proposal. I do not see how I should be penalized for miscommunication with staff. It was never conveyed to us between Friday and the following Monday that there was an urgency. I would suggest better communication with staff and clients. Since I am also in the bridal business, word of mouth goes a long way.
