a very distinctive esthetic — - I’d advise you to stop in to the LaFonda lobby to window shop a few of their items to see if they interest you. Then make your way to the large store which is the production studio as well. As a bird lover with a contemporary esthetic, I loved their unique bold color palette and bird and insect pieces. definitely pricey! a few seconds are on offer… very friendly and informative crafter/sales staff.

I love Rainbows Gate. I have through the years collected some plates and mugs. The quality and uniqueness is unmatched. The prices are high, but that’s the cost of getting real art to eat on. I also have to say that Ana Masterson is a special person. I lived with her in college, and remember her sitting at the kitchen table painting mugs. She is still wonderful and I love that she is still working in her family’s business. I will continue my slow collection of this beautiful pottery.

BEAUTIFUL Pottery.
The staff is very friendly. they greeted us right when we entered the store and countinued to check in with us throughout our visit. we were invited to look around the show room and then the back work area. there were 4 workers in the back painting pottery. They all greeted us and answered a few questions.
This is a wonderful store. I would recommend stopping by and looking around. If you have a bit of sticker (price) shock … take a peek at their «seconds» shelf for a great bargain.

I’ve bought so much stuff at this store, I probably need to join the 12-step program. But I’ve never seen dishes like it anywhere else and will keep on buying! It’s expensive, but all of it is handmade, handpainted, and individually glazed. Some is just colorful dinnerware; some are unique or unusual vases and bowls; some have great pictures of birds and other small animals.
