My first visit to this quaint café was very positive. Tucked away in a shopping plaza, this small, friendly, comfortable café was just the perfect, relaxed spot to have a quiet lunch with a friend with good food and warm surroundings. I had the ‘new’ King B’astilla dish, which is chicken, almonds and sweet spices baked in a light fillo pastry. It was truly delicious and beautiful, besides. My friend enjoyed a large salad with gyro lamb, which was piled amply on top of the salad greens. Our waitress couldn’t have been more friendly or more helpful. The prices were extremely reasonable considering the quality of the dishes and the ample amount of food served. I’ll be eager to come back for dinner to try some of their other middle-eastern dishes!

Visiting Santa Fe and exploring the variety of great places to eat here. After giving up on trying to get into another mediterranean restaurant we took this as our second pick. Turns out this was a lucky break for us. Located in a shopping strip along with several restaurants the décor is nothing exceptional. However it is clean and the service was good. The food is excellent. This is as good as any food I’ve had anywhere!

Eating here tonight was like a Twilight Zone experience. The table was greasy and dirty. The waiter agreed to clean off the glass top with Windex after he sneezed into his hand. The French fries for one entrée’ were too salty and could not be eaten. The pita bread arrived late and burned. An appetizer portion of falafel was forgotten. A discount coupon on the check was not deducted. A walk-in advised the lone server that she had been calling for 30 minutes to place a to-go order and inquired if the phone was out of order. The waiter had left the cell phone on from the last call. The register went dead while ringing up our check. We had to wait 20 minutes for a revised check in which the waiter said the manager would come and take care of it. The manager never came into the restaurant and finally after 15 minutes the waiter decided to call the manager at home and get tech support via phone. The ‘air’ of uncleanliness is very apparent to those daring enough to eat a meal here. We left this joke of a restaurant NEVERTORETURNAGAIN.

Great place to eat Mediterranean and Greek food. Food is freshly made to order. Much better than other places we have eaten at. Prices are a lot better too.

Pyramid is undervalued in Santa Fe and shouldn’t be. Everything is made when you order; yea you wait a bit.. slow food.. .but it is always wonderful. Their Swharma and Gyro meats are excellent, pita is fluffy, the«salad» part is quality lettuce and always just right tomatoes. Their sauces, both tzaziki and harissa are homemade. Hand cut fries — done beautifully. Great baklava for those with a sweet tooth — and honestly I’m a picky woman when it comes to the baklava. Their spanakopita is good, not great, but it serves(again I’m terribly snobby when it comes to this dish). But by and far the BEST is their Brik a Louf.. . which is like their version of a samosa or empanada but made with filo dough so it isn’t overly doughy(which i really really like) — and the mashed potato/fresh herb/egg combination inside was TOPNOTCH. Do yourself a real favor and stop by this really unassuming place, yes, in a strip mall — but don’t be concerned about that. Santa Fe has a lot of hidden gems in places just like this.

TL;DR amazing food; amazingly poor service Just ate here for the first time and was blown away by the quality and flavor of the food. The tabouli was flavorful and pleasingly presented. The hummus was good, and the hot pita slices with it were seasoned and delicious even by themselves. I had the lamb burger, and it was moist and delicious, with a startlingly tasty mustard sauce that complemented it perfectly. The Greek salad was well dressed with just enough tang to keep it interesting. The final touch was a delicious pungent section of baklava drizzled with chocolate syrup. Absolutely wonderful, and spiced a little more heavily than I am used to. In a good way, obviously. On the other hand it took forever to get our food, the server couldn’t remember who had what, and some of our party had the wrong orders taken. And the length of service time meant our fries were cold. But don’t let that stop you! Plan on a long but delicious time at this restaurant.

Excellent flavor and real value. Had the lamb couscous, moussaka and best Greek salad ever, plus fresh, warm pita. We returned for more. Highly recommend. I live in a ‘foodie town’ and wish this restaurant were here!

EXCELLENT food! Great service and very fresh. Nothing special décor wise, but we go for the food, not the décor. Back several times! YUMMY! His Los Alamos restaurant by the same name is also great!

Great food! I had the Gyro sandwich and salad. Fresh ingredients and the lamb was tasty and tender. I’m visiting from out of town and found this place through Unilocal as a Mediterranean style food place. The atmosphere is easy going and friendly. The wait staff was excellent. I would gladly come back here next time I’m in town.

Having lunch at the Pyramid Café as I write. I am a local and this is one of my top two or three fav restaurants in Santa Fe which is saying a lot given the quantity and quality of eats in the City Different. Pyramids thing is Moroccan food with several Mediterranean favorites available too. Great beer selection rounds out an excellent choice for lunch and dinner. Friendly service and delicious food keep me coming back.

Excellent little café that fills the bill when seeking Mediterranean while in Santa Fe. It’s nice and clean with white table cloths and little booths. Tabbouleh and hummus and pita were excellent. Lentil soup excellent. Souvlaki was right on. The piped in jazz music was a nice add.

We both ordered the shawarma plate and some dolmas. The food tasted very fresh, the pitas were great and the waiter was very nice. Could use a remodel inside. Will come back!

I’m always surprised at the great reviews this place gets time and time again. I hadn’t been to the Pyramid Café in over 10 years but recently went back to give it a try. First of all, there was a drunk(and possibly homeless) guy sitting in the dining room during lunch. He was loud and interruptive to the 1 of 2 tables that were occupied by guests. The poor couple was trying to be polite and would smile as he kept interrupting. The management or waitstaff should have asked him to leave. Secondly, I’ll mention that I love Mediterranean/Greek food. I used to live in the Mediterranean and the food is amazing. The food I ordered that day from the Pyramid was not good. I was bummed because I really wanted the food to be tasty, fresh, and flavorful. Especially since I live very close to the Pyramid Café and would love to find another close and tasty eatery. The Pyramid Café, even after a 10-year hiatus, remains lackluster. As tired and drab as it’s interior décor.

The food at this place is wonderful. We had the lamb salad, the lamb tagine and the chicken tagine. We tried both of the soups(the avgolemono was pretty good, the lamb stew was delish) and the greek salad(yum.) Friendly waiter. And a good beer. I thought the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food.

Damn. I feel bad for all the folks that said this was the best whatever, whatever they’d every had from this place, because it really wasn’t that good. The service was slow at 1PM and we had to track the waiter down to get our bill, so that was bothersome. But the chicken shawarma I got? Sin sabor. Flavorless. So I asked for some hot sauce to spice things up and what do I get? It looked like the salsa you get from Maria’s down the street(this may have been a reminder that we should have gone there to eat better). When I’m at a middle eastern restaurant, I want a hot sauce to match, not New Mexican salsa. The pita bread was also pretty boring. I’d say I’m giving this place three stars only because I dislike bashing restaurants, especially the kind that are hard to come by in any particular city or town. But seriously, if the owners read this, please spice up your foods the way they should be and get on your waiters to be on their job. For your own sake.

Really not impressed. Finally decided to try Pyramid, partially swayed by the 4 star average on Unilocal.Definitely not worth 4 stars, 2 and a half, maybe. We showed up at 7pm on Saturday and there was only 1 other party in the place — already a bad sign. A few more parties came in over the next 45 minutes. The place was a bit dirty, the curtains up front looked nasty. There was an empty/used paper coke cup sitting on a shelf right next to the front entry. Just a bit of yuck feeling to the place. The food disapointment started when they didn’t have the one dish on the menu my girlfriend wanted. The Greek salad was actually nice and fresh, with ample feta, but our mains were average at best, not bad, just not particularly good. Nothing that would make us want to go back. Experiment over, We will stick to Cleopatra.
