Staff was extremely rude to my two coworkers today. The manager even hung up on my boss.

Older but very clean. Friendly staff and owners. Free breakfast and WiFi. Comfortable beds. Close to many places to eat and just a few mins from the plaza. Reasonable prices for Santa Fe, however I was there during off season. The pool was like warm and dated, but a pleasant surprise. Hot tub was also nice after a day skiing. Would definitely stay here again.

This is the place to stay if you’re going to Santa Fe on a budget. I was staying 5 nights and didn’t want to be moving around on my vacation, I needed something around $ 60 a night and this was it(the guy told me it’s more In the summer, he said $ 70 – 80) It’s older and a little aged, but not bad, all things considered it’s a great deal. A very nice indoor pool and hot tub, continental breakfast, and wifi that actually works. The rooms are an older styling but very comfortable and quiet. The staff are all friendly and helpful. A couple tips is get the backside, I imagine the front side would be loud due to the road. Also the top floor is nice so you can’t hear people walking above you. All in all I have had a great stay at Lamplighter Inn.

Absolutely amazing value! Stayed here on a cross country road trip so I had my fair share of hits and misses. My goal was to keep costs down so I wasn’t expecting a 4-star hotel, but boy was I pleasantly surprised! This place is super-clean, cozy, and the staff is incredibly nice. It is an older place, but you can tell the owner takes pride in its upkeep. Complimentary breakfast was awesome too! Highly recommended!

This is a pretty good hotel for the price in Santa Fe which can be very expensive. Front desk was friendly, there’s a microwave in the main lobby which I used to heat up my dinner. Mini fridge in the room was a great convenience also. One thing that I found inconvenient is that the«rec room» which contains the food vending machine, computer and treadmill, was locked down at 10pm. I think it might be nice to have that area accessible to guests 24⁄7 and maybe move the microwave into that area so it’s less of a walk if you need it. But maybe they have their reasons for this, I don’t know. My friend and I would have liked the pool to be open a little later as well but we enjoyed it during the day, it was very nice. The walls are thin so even though I really appreciated the ground floor at first, I was regretting it one morning when we were trying to sleep in and could hear every little movement and noise above us. May not be an issue for most tourists who are getting up early to hit the sites but we were out partying the night before so that was rough in the morning. Overall I would definitely stay here again, it was a quant place and a good value for the price.

Simply great. My fiancé and I enjoyed the Lamplighter Inn. Heated indoor pool with hot tub. Great when it’s a popsicle outside. The run from the pool to the room was CHILLY! :D Good sized breakfast. Lots of options, ESPECIALLY for what you pay per night. If I remember correctly I paid something like $ 50 a night, which is ludicrous! I can’t remember ever seeing a room that cheap, least of all in a vacationy spot. It is an older place, but it is well kept. I especially like the little triangle they fold into the ends of the toilet paper. Little touches like that make the overall experience all the more enjoyable. Within walking distance from a few good eateries. We will definitely be back…

Though the front desk folks were nice, this place is really not up to par. The carpet needs to a new incarnation. The breakfast could use some attention, i.e. more fresh fruit. But the most annoying(and, albeit, the most difficult to fix) is the startling experience of someone walking by your room. I guess because of the cheap architectural design of the building, every time someone walks by your room, it is like a small earthquake. I was scared.

Nice place. I’ve stayed here a few times. I’ve stayed in rooms in the back. They are very clean and well cared for. Staff is polite and helpful. They have free wireless which has worked fine for me. Well maintained property. They used to have a wonderful breakfast bar, one of the best but now it is nowhere near as good as it used to be. Now it is pretty basic. Still, this is a good place to stay for a reasonable rate. An older, dated hotel, but kept very clean, attention paid to the grounds. I expect to stay here again. It is on Cerrillos Road, one of the larger main roads in Santa Fe.

Great hotel at a great value! The Lamplighter is an older hotel, but well taken care of and maintained. The hotel grounds were well cared for with trimmed bushes/grass in the courtyard, a working bulb in every light outside, and everything was obviously cleaned on a regular basis. The area the hotel is located in is nothing to be concerned with. It is located on an average American large road with a shopping center across the street. I had my family there and didn’t feel unsafe at all. We reserved a room with two double beds. The beds were very comfortable and the room clean. A suggestion would be to add additional pillows and blankets in the room. I’m sure we could have asked for more, but we assumed there would be extras tucked in a drawer like most hotels. Internet speed in the room was solid with no interruptions. A major reason we stayed at this hotel was for the pool. Although it was a little chilly in the dome that housed the pool, our kids loved it. The left side of the pool dome is lined with plants giving it a fun atmosphere… the opposite of the cold feeling you get from many new hotel pools that are clean, but lifeless. The pool was definitely a hit and made the stay better. The breakfast included was your standard breakfast fare including cereal, breads, and juices. The plus is that the woman watching over the breakfast was on top of things and making sure everything was continually filled and clean. I would suggest adding one or two more toasters so the line isn’t backed up. The hotel staff at the front desk were very polite and made us feel welcome. To sum it all up, the hotel«felt loved» and we would stay there again.
