The food and service is out of this world outstanding. We eat Indian all over the world since we travel often and Indian is our favorite cuisine.(The worst was in Vienna, Austria). We are so lucky to have India House right here in Santa Fe. We love spicy Indian and they serve it up deliciously. Thanks guys.

My wife and I have been going here for years. If you want beautiful food with the service to match, head here. Fri, Sat and Sunday they have the extra cauldron of seasoned goat stew. But there buffet lunch for the price is fantastic, all you can eat and the variety is amazing value. The Chardonnay is perfect, so thankful For that. Some times as a treat we host night where the buffet is over and the elegant night menu comes out. The service is as elegant and professional. You can’t drive pass this one!!!

Surprise to see so many stars for this place on Unilocal.Food is of mediocre taste with expensive pricing. Special mention about diluted sweet lassi, it is mixture of milk, water n sugar excluding taste

I’ve been for the lunch buffet a few times. They have about 15 different items in the buffet, it’s a good way to sample many things if you’ve got a small group and/or are in a rush. However, they seem to always have the same items and I wish they would switch it up a bit. Also, the buffet is missing many of my favorites such as kormas, butter chicken, tikka masala, etc. I wish they would put those items in the buffet.

This is by far(in our opinion) the best Indian restaurant in Santa Fe. They have just completed a renovation, it now looks as good as the food tastes! Great service and reasonably priced. Will certainly make this a place to include upon our next visit.

food was very good and great service too. Had the vegetarian dinner plate and the quantity was also very filling.

Stale, tasteless, diluted curries, raw naans & and rotten cucumber. I tried it once but would not recommend anyone. I went to this place seeing the I feel this moment place is overrated.

The samosas here are AMMAAAZING: light, crisp exterior, and perfectly salted filling. The world’s best comfort food and I am honored to get it right on Cerrillos Road. The accompanying green sauce is exquisitely fresh and pungent(the red is too sweet for my tastes, but I don’t feel anything is missing without it). My other favorite is the cauliflower curry: all the right warm, soothing spices and a nice portion size. I did once try a curry with beans here and was disturbed that they tasted like they were from a can, but for a fairly priced restaurant with a long menu I expect to sort out some hits from misses. And there is so much to love here, including the impeccably mannered staff and little altar I sit next to waiting for my food to be packaged. The only thing that would make me more enthused about this place would be for them to stop using styrofoam. But they will always have a warm place in my heart for giving me many tasty meals and genuine smiles to tide over the long, dark nights I spent unpacking my moving boxes in a strange and intriguing city.

Yes yes yes. Best Indian food I have ever had. Ever. This buffet has a lot to offer. Everything tastes authentic and extremely fresh. It is always full of people, which means they are always putting out more fresh food. The staff is so friendly and obviously has a lot of pride in the food they are offering. I made it a point to visit India House at least once every time I visit Santa Fe. Don’t forget to eat so much naan!

Great food… Warm people. After a lot of discussion we went here for our Christmas dinner since we were stuck in Santa Fe. The place is simple and pretty much like any other nice Indian restaurant. They only had Buffet for dine-in on Christmas… For 25 $ it was a little pricey but if it fills up your tummy and delights your heart then… Then I guess you can make peace with it. Owner and rest of the staff are nice too. Keep up the good work Guys!

I wish I could give India house 500 stars. I went with my mother and it happened to be her first time eating indian food. When she mentioned this, our waiter explained the cuisine in detail for her and helped her choose a dinner that she’d like. We were surprised and delighted by how much food came with the dinners. It was all DELICIOUS. I was also impressed by how attentive the waiters were(especially with the chai refills). You could tell they genuinely wanted you to enjoy your meal. Keep up the good work India house!

Nothing but the best! Great food and service! Even the daily buffet is awesome where they keep the same food quality as when you order a la carte. I have been coming to this place for many years and have never been disappointed.

For over 12 years I have dined here, once a week is the norm. I have to say in all that time I have never had a bad meal. Not one time. The food is always hot and very good. This is an amazing place to eat and atmosphere nice and friendly. You must try this place if you have never eaten here. Note: Remember the food is made for almost everyone’s pallet, if you like it spicy make sure to let them know.

Really wanted to give this place 4 stars but couldnt. Perhaps I have been spoiled by the Indian food in California. Came here on vacation, excited to eat, and spent 130.00 for dinner. Paneer Mahkni was tasty. So was chicken tika masala. Lamb korma not so much. Naans were good. The rice is not supposed to be a focal point but was uninspiring. Mango chutney was a super tasty addition. Minus 1 star for poor chai that no amount of sugar could fix and poorly done lamb that ended up the only unbeaten dish. Minus 1 star for the all too common combination of small portions at large portion prices. Overall great service and super nice waiters and staff. High quality ingredients. Good ambiance. Just need to fix a few elements to take it from just another 3 star indian restaurant to a gem in Santa Fe.

Picking up my Togo. Why don’t I just move in here? Consistently great. I eat here at least twice a month and never a bad meal at anything less than excellent service.

We’ve been enjoying the feast at India House for the past 12 years and make it a point to have lunch there every time we are in town. The service is fantastic and you’re greeted when you walk in and seated quickly. Your drink order is taken when you’re seated and delivered in no time. The buffet is kept stocked and is fresh. The naan is made during the day and is never stale. India House is one of the top Indian restaurants we have found in our travels, you’ll be treating yourself!

Decent food and prices, but not as spicy as to what I’m accustomed. Stopped in here to get something to eat on July 18. I have to admit that my review may be tainted by the fact that there was no air conditioning in this place. That said, the food was decent enough: good prices, good-size servings, however it was very mildly flavored. The help was incredibly friendly, and kept my water glass full, but seemed confused when I asked for ice water or for some ice for my water. So, here I was sitting in a restaurant in July, with no air conditioning, and tepid water. Perhaps it’s for the best that there was not a lot of heat or spice in the food. I’m honestly not certain if this is just a Santa Fe thing, the lack of spiciness, because I’m from Albuquerque and I’m used to a lot of heat in my food.

I, like the rest of Santa Fe, came for the lunch buffet. Arrived around 1pm on a weekday and it was filled to the brim. Don’t you guys have to go to work? The food was decent. I tried the majority of the offerings(only 10 – 12 available) and everything was mild, which I was kind of bummed about. No spicy foods? Anyway, nothing was really *spectacular* but for the price($ 11.83), I’d go back. The buffet had a little something for everyone, whether you just wanna go veggie or with meat. My favorite off the buffet was actually the chicken curry. I feel like that is such an Intro to Indian Food 101 type of food but everything else just tasted okay in comparison. Everyone also seemed to go crazy over the mango pudding but it was a little too sweet for me. Also the addition of canned cocktail fruit kind of put me off. But anyway. Service was really friendly and attentive. They were balancing like 10 plates at a time on their arms so that was some entertainment for me as I tried not to look like too much of a loser eating by myself.
