Holiday Inn Express Santa Fe Cerrillos

I stay at HI express all across the US. This on was barely average. I thought the bed was hard as the floor. But that’s just my opinion. Stayed 2 days. First check in the desk clerk was… just there. Not too friendly, not to welcoming. The second day the desk clerk was outstanding. Friendly, courteous, glad you were there.

BEWARE… this hotels employees are identity thiefs, they fraudulently charged my card twice and found it funny when i found out… big time fraudsters are employed here, i had to call the police department to pay them a visit for their behavior… what a lame excuse of a hotel

While the staff is friendly which supports what I would expect of this brand, I very disappointed in the thorough cleaning of the room. Lamps are very dusty right by the bed. I had white socks on and they were brown by the end of the evening from walking on the carpet. The breakfast served was less than desirable. I picked an English Muffin and it was hard as a rock. I was scooping walnuts for my oatmeal and Fruitloops were mixed in the walnuts. Apples were soft, going bad.
Our first room we had a few issues with the toilet not working and the hair dryer but they were gracious to move us and prompt about it. Again the second room was really dusty.
When I left the building to start our sightseeing, I saw staff taking casually and laughing by the reception desk and I thought to myself they should be taking the time to pay attention to the small details in a room and food area instead of wasting time chatting.
I expect more from an Express location for Holiday Inn.

This was an odd experience for a Holiday Inn. Room was small based on the many others Holiday Inn places I’ve stayed. We found the hotel fairly clean. The bathroom is small and the shower is weak. I’d suggest they replace the shower heads. They have window rattlers for A/​C units with limited control. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were to soft. I can’t stress how small the rooms are compared to what one pays for at other Holiday Inns. The hotel is also seems a bit off the highway if your just stopping through. This would be nice for a couple or a business person. Not for a small family. My last comment is it felt more like a motel then a Holiday Inn.

It’s an okay place. Room is clean. Bathroom is big. Closet kind of small. Parking is tricky. Bed is very comfortable. It’s definitely a dated place but clean and comfortable. About five miles to get to the plaza.

The staff was inexperienced and the GM was rude. The place smelled bad and appeared dirty.

Pool out of order and our shower head was weak far from downtown Santa Fe nothing interesting within walking distance at least the wifi functions. This Holiday Inn Express lacks the amenties of other Holiday Inn Expresses.

Stayed here for a night while passing through New Mexico and I don’t have one bad thing to say. Ernest, the front agent was so friendly and helpful. He got us checked in right away and was knowledgable about the area and recommended some places to eat. Great customer service skills. Not to mention the lobby smells great!

Terrible parking was my first thought. Checked in and left immediately to go get dinner before going to my room. When I got back and went to my «suite,» I was quite disappointed! It was 90 degrees in the room, the set up was odd with an empty «cubby hole» where the tv should be and a tv where you can’t really see it (from the bed). Any suite I’ve ever stayed in has televisions in the sitting room AND bedroom, but not this one! Let’s instead put it where you can’t really see it well from either room! I turned the air on extra cold and searched for a bottle of wine prior to going back to try to just get some sleep! I came back an hour later and the room still wasn’t cool. I thought I couldn’t go wrong with a Holiday Inn — I didn’t expect this.

Let me preface this by saying we had a terrible experience at another Santa Fe motel and had to move to this one on Christmas day, so my expectations weren’t that high. But I’m happy to say that everything at this HI Express went well. The clerk gave us a great rate – even cheaper than what I was quoted on the phone. The double room was a good size, everything worked and was clean, and breakfast was good (except for the «scrambled eggs»; I’m not sure what those are, but they are definitely not natural). This motel isn’t that close to the Plaza, but it’s a straight shot down Cerrillos to all the best places, and since we had our own car the 10-​minute drive to the Plaza wasn’t a problem. If we could get the same great rate next time, I would definitely stay here again.

We spent the night on our way through Santa Fe. The staff was great and the room was very nice. The breakfast in the morning was nice. They had a nice variety of breakfast food (Cereal, Fruit, Pancakes, Muffins, Bagels, Bread, Juices). Our girls really enjoyed the hot chocolate.

We arrived here about 1 pm and were informed the room wasn’t ready. Strange because they didn’t seem packed, and it was really early for tourist season. Rooms are small. We changed rooms twice. The first room was a single when we booked a double. The second room had a broken dresser which we didn’t want to get charged for so we switched again. The luggage cart was like the one bad shopping cart at the grocery store, little things adding up here. The third room smelled faintly of smoke but by that time we just threw up our hands. The closet is in the far corner of the room instead of by the bathroom which is weird, but not serious. Didn’t try the breakfast, but picked up some free coffee and juice before heading out each morning.
Two stars because we booked in advance and the room still wasn’t ready or the correct room.

Room quality was ok, pool is pretty small. Skip the breakfast, it’s not so hot.
