We came out to watch the Fuego play baseball but the field has sink holes and the game was cancelled! Parks & Recreation promised to have repairs done tomorrow. However, the weather is perfect so we are staying to enjoy our friends and the park. The green chile cheese burgers are super delicious!

One thing I’ll never understand is why most facilities that are run by the City of Santa Fe have the absolute rudest employees. This is a pretty decent facility but please don’t ask the people who work there any questions… they are very busy taking care of their personal issues.

The fact that this place has been around for most of my childhood, I have very fond memories… however, it would be nice if the city would raise the money to upgrade it. I’ve noticed little changes over the years, like the gym and basketball court, but it just has that same ‘old’ feel to it. Let’s keep the memories, but upgrade!

Fort Marcy is a community gym close to the Plaza. You can pay $ 5 and get access to the gym. The facility seems small but holds a lot — indoor pool, weight room, basketball court, community room, racquetball courts, locker rooms. The cardio equipment is basic and when you walk in, that’s the first thing you see. They have about 5 bikes, 5 ellipticals, 6 treadmills, 2 steppers, etc. They do have fitness classes but I have not gone to one yet so can’t comment on that. But I know you have to pay separate for these classes. They are closed on Sundays — annoying. They open M-F at 6am and close at 8pm.

Just another local gym with pretty good facilities: pool, gym, weight room, and lots of cardio machines(treadmill, bikes, etc.). They also offer classes, which can be worth checking out. Parking lot extends to the back side, so if you don’t find a parking spot up front, don’t be intimidated.
