This has to be the best bang for your buck in central Santa Fe. Friendly folks and great food.

This is just a small stand on the corner of the plaza. Fajitas are freshly made while you wait. Best I have had in a long time. Good value for one as well. Two fajitas, one tamales and a lemonade for $ 15.

This is a great Santa Fe establishment with some excellent Southwestern Cuisine. Their menu is simple but very tasty. What I Liked: * Every bit of food I tried! * The chicken fajitas were excellent but very messy. * Both the chicken and pork tamales were superb. * Their biscochitos were some of the best we tried in Santa Fe. * Cool location in the middle of the Plaza. * Super cheap! What I disliked(this list is short and minor): * The fajitas wrappers could stand to be a little bit more leak proof. This is a messy dish and ended up all over my lap and park bench upon picking it up. * No silverware or plates are provided. This would be handy when my fajita or tamale disintegrates in my hands. * Only accepts cash. Everyone has a smartphone now. Seriously. Get a stripe /square card reader. You’d get more tips… Summary: Every trip to Santa Fe needs to include a visit here. Try everything; it’s all good. Do bring cash and possibly a bib. Do Not wear nice clothes while eating this food; it is really messy(seriously).

Disappointing– poor quality meat. We weren’t even able to finish our fajitas. Would not recommend

It’s right at the southwestern conner of the Plaza, easy to find! For a food truck, the food is great, and the price is pretty fair. And the cashier lady suggested me to have the chicken fajita when I can’t decide. «Better than beef», she said, haha. But it was a great choice! Love to try the green chilly stew, but got no stomach… If got second chance, I think I would have the chicken fajita again!

For a food stand in Santa Fe on the side of Lincoln Ave. The Fajita burrito with everything on it is great! Also get a Very berry limeade super refreshing and washes down the awesome Fajita burrito!

Great food great price, young entrepreneurs making great food. Don’t expect to be seated, it’s a street corner food cart. So sit in park, listen to performers, and eat some good fajitas

Loved this stop! Reasonably priced really good food. The tamales are some of the best I have ever had. Moist, lots of filling, flavorful, a hit for sure. Pal got the chicken fajita, with jalapenos and it was a winning bite. I’m into this place for a cheap bite to people– watch and grub.

Ymmm smokey flavored chicken fajita with homemade salsa and sour cream. Perfect for a quick and reasonable lunch. No need for side rice or beans. I will be back!

A MUSTINSANTAFE! Affordable and yummy street-Mexican food. We tried the fajitas and the pork tamales: outstanding!!! It is kind of weird to eat this kind of food in the street in November(since it is chilly, and gloves are definitely necessary), but definitely it is worth to get your hands dirty and cold! :D

Normally when I order fajitas, I’m in a TexMex joint and they bring me rice, beans, sour cream, a sizzling skillet of onions, peppers and meat, and not enough tortillas. It’s always too much food. By contrast, El Molero serves up a ready-made tortilla filled with fresh, flavorful, slightly charred meat of your choice(chicken or steak), salsa, sour cream, and a little bit of lettuce for crunch. None of the filler, and tastier than most fajitas I’ve gotten. At $ 5, it’s the perfect, portable snack. Oh, and if you see a little cart on this corner and think it’s El Moleno, don’t worry that you’re in the wrong place. You just, like me, can’t read.

Love it — pretty sure it deserves a five but only had one item — daughter had second but i didn’t get to try. So have to start with a four. First off in Santa Fe and prices that would be fine for a small«real» town — no tourist markup I am always a bit on the fence for tamales — their prok tamale was great — good balance of moist and falvorful — not too much masa taste you got the blend and the prok was flavorful with a small chile bite. Daughter had a steak fajita ate it down in about three minutes flat — loving every bite. She is a bit of a finicky eater — not here. Skip the overpriced restaurants and tourist traps — this may still cater to tourists given it sits in the plaza — but it is good enough for a local. b

One of the best fajita food vendors in the U.S. For that matter better than you’ll find in a restaurant coast to coast. If you think the plaza park is shady, don’t let it fool you. This place is awesome. The taste is so vibrant and fajita so perfectly executed it’s a destination eatery if you’re traveling the country in search of good eats. The prices are well worth what you’ll get.

Finding affordable food in Santa Fe can be something of a chore, especially when you’re near the Plaza. They know they’ve got you, and the prices at most places are sky high since they’re catering to tourists that will also drop serious coin at a nearby art gallery. So what to do if you’re on a budget? Head on down to the southwest corner of the Plaza and follow your nose and check the line outside this street food cart. For $ 5 you can get yourself a chicken or beef fajita, or switch it up with a tamale. They also do daily specials, so check that. Thirsty? They’ve got fresh lemonade. One of the nice things about eating from this cart is that you can grab your delicious fajita, find a spot on the plaza to plunk down, and just take in the scene. The Plaza is great for people watching, so munch on your dish of choice, sip some lemonade, and see some of Santa Fe’s colorful denizens mix with a never-ending stream of tourists.

this cart is located right in the heart of all the tourist stuff, so my expectations were low, but i was pleasantly surprised. some of the best fajitas ive had in a long time. chicken was tender and juicy. the salsa added some kick and the guacamole some smoothness.

This is the greatest grab-and-go lunch spot on the plaza. For five bucks, a handheld fajita is yours. It’s delicious, even more so with Guac and sour cream.

This is one of my favorite spots to go, either when I want to just hang out around the plaza or if I’m passing through. The chicken fajita is my favorite, it’s messy to eat so let the juices flow out the other end of the paper plate. If you order green chile with it, get ready to burn… it’s some hot stuff and so worth it too!

This is the only food stand I encountered in Santa Fe. It’s on the SW corner of Santa Fe plaza, in front of the Palace of Governors and across from Five and Dime. The short menu consisted of beef or chicken fajitas for $ 5 each and spicy chicken tamales for $ 1.50. I tried a beef fajita and a chicken tamale. Both were ok, not the greatest fajita or tamale you’ll ever have, but quite serviceable. If you’re in the area and looking for a quick bite without going into a restaurant, this is a good choice.
