This is a casino but it’s kind of a dump compared to Buffalo Thunder, its sister casino. They aren’t very far apart so would recc trying both. Some people might prefer this rather old-fashioned venu.

We decided to stay here because Buffalo Thunder wanted to charge us $ 65 for our dogs. When we walked in we specifically told the lady at the counter we had two dogs and needed a room. So she said pets are allowed but the only room available was a King Suite(which literally was just two very small separate hotel rooms very ghetto-ly made to seem like one room) for $ 164.00 including the $ 50 pet fee. Pricey but still cheaper then Buffalo Thunder. Beside the bed the room was horrible. We visited The Badelier National Monument the next day and unfortunately because we had to wait an hour to and from the park we were late to check out at 1:03. The person on the phone was not only rude but was pretty much yelling at us saying we’d have to pay an additional $ 164 for the room plus the $ 50 pet fee that we supposedly didn’t pay. You might as well pass through or sleep in your car. The shower hardly worked, the TV was an extremely old SMALL box set, the bathroom vent never turned off and rattled really bad and the AC made a high pitch noise, giving my a pretty bad headache. I absolutely HATED this place and it’s service.

Don’t stay at the hotel. Mold in the bathroom. Worst motel ever! Towels were dirty and stained.

This Hotel was disgusting. It was an overpriced roach-hotel. I will never stay here or visit this place ever again. The workers were rude, lazy, and gross. The buffet was even worse with pierced tattooed waitresses, sneezing and coughing all over your food. The food was disgusting as well. This place truly encapsulates Northern New Mexico. Megabonding and Vagabonding… Beware!!!

Room was clean. TV was old. Power went out. AC didn’t work even when the power was on. Friend woke up with 3 spider bites. The place was lit like a horror movie when the power was on. The peeling wallpaper wasn’t from age just poor installation. Wifi is only in the front of the building. Although the access point is unsecured and there are no hoops to jump through to get it.

I had to shoo away flies from the plates at the buffet counter before my wife saw them. I knew I’d get the 3rd degree about suggesting eating there if she caught sight of the former maggots. The dessert selection was way above quality compared to the rest of what was available. I guess if you want to feel what it would be like to live here in New Mexico this casino would be a good representation of the general attitude and apathy of the locals.
