I checked into Casa de Tres Lunas today and couldn’t be happier. I called for availability super last minute — I was about an hour and 30 from Sante Fe on an impromptu road trip and my other accommodations didn’t work out. The room I wanted(Half Moon) was booked, but the manager offered me another suite(Full Moon) and matched the price of $ 135 for the requested room. He was polite and helpful over the phone, took down all my information efficiently, and that was it! The room is beautiful, clean, and feels like Sante Fe. Free parking behind the rooms, free(and strong!) wifi. I was welcomed with a note, a bottle of wine, and fresh flowers — maybe because it’s valentine’s day? Either way, very appreciated and a nice touch. Adorable courtyard out back that’s open to all guests. Rooms are within short walking distance(10 min) to downtown by the Plaza — huge plus because parking can be a pain. If you want something low key, independent(no hotel lobby, no daily cleaning service), in a great location and for a great price, I’d highly recommend staying here.

We just stayed here in December and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We found the place online last minute(literally that day) due to some issues with our other reservation. Luckily, this place was what it advertised itself to be! We stayed in the honeymoon studio suite. Pros: — Awesome location, a couple blocks from the downtown plaza. Not having to drive downtown is a huge perk. — Fireplace in our room stocked with wood — Full kitchen decently stocked with plates/appliances — Interesting décor — Free wifi — A little parking lot — Nice people working at the place — It’s not really a hotel — you don’t walk through a lobby to get to your room, so you have more of an experience of living in the place Cons: — This is a cozy suite, so it’s on the smallish side. The fireplace is right next to the bed. The way the couch is angled, it’s hard for two people on it to watch TV — it’s easier from the bed. — There are two things in this apartment that definitely seem meant for tall people. We’re 5’7″ and 5’8″ but if we were a few inches shorter it would have been annoying. The sink is an elegant glass bowl. However, because it’s on top of a(very pretty) tall wood cabinet, your arms bend at 90 degree angles on top of the bowl/sink. If I were a few inches shorter, I’d want a footstool. Also, the toilet is tall and if I sit up straight my feet are just brushing against the ground… interesting. — This is very picky, but there was no can opener. They had EVERYTHING else, some of it never used, but no can opener. — Apparently the parking lot can get full during peak season and you have to park on the street(this didn’t happen to us)

This place was a little slice of heaven, unexpected upon booking. The property manager kindly observed my personal needs for a comfortable stay, honored my privacy and helped me navigate to restaurant/shops catered to my preferences. The room had a perfect kitchenette… the bedding, ironed and mistaken to be my own. Plus, there is a spa next door! A perfect stay!

We absolutely loved this place. We were on a SW states trip and didn’t want to spend a fortune every night since it was a pretty long trip. We happened to stumble upon this place when we were searching on Trip Advisor. The location of this sweet place is perfect. We could walk to everything in the downtown area and also had some great walks along Canyon Road. The room was perfect. I’m pretty picky when it comes to aesthetics and this place was decorated with impeccable taste. We had the small room that was facing the road. The road is pretty busy but the road noise didn’t bother us a bit. But, if you can afford to book one of the larger rooms, I would definitely suggest that since they are located in the back of the property with a beautiful little courtyard. The courtyard is open to all guests no matter what room you book. The owner lives on the property and is a perfect host. There was no maid service each day but we loved that. I believe that maid service is every 4th day. The rooms have a large screen TV and an ipod port. The property does have free Wi-fi but since our room was the furthest from the main courtyard, the wi-fi wouldn’t work in our room(this was my only real complaint). If we return to Santa Fe we wouldn’t consider staying any place but Casa de Tres Lunas. Loved it. 4÷17÷12: I was just informed by the owners that they have upgraded their wi-fi so it will now work in all of the rooms on the property… yay!
